That's why i make these videos. Its great how much these games benefit from emulation and to look what version of a game is the best way to play it today. Yeah Vita has only a few good games but afaik emulating the Vita is in its infancy
@@Mick2K problem for vita is there are lack of titles. this video also proofs that PSP is lack of specs, but if developers decided to do things properly, it suddenly became a powerhouse even it's just a crap system, so it's just the matter of how much developers want to put in the works. GT Mobile is also a proven miracle, as well as any other Metal Gear games on PSP.
There are Metal Gears and Resident Evil for the vita (there's a Silent Hill too, but it's... kinda different. It's a great game, but doesn't feel like silent hill). There isn't pes, but there's FIFA (and it plays identical to the old ps3/x360 FIFA games).
@@napa5235 the silent hill is a dungeon style gamez which is alright I had some fun out of it, but it's not silent hill in the classic story style. And metal gear is a ported collection but not original made for the vita, even though it's nice to have it, still wished they had made the vita shine with new metal gear game on it.
Yes that is true. The PS2 looks better and is darker but believe me it's too damn dark. I failed to show it in this video but half the game you can't see shit.
@@Mick2K I remember that the original version on an CRT TV wasn't that dark.Of course when emulated or on new generations TVs the quality change a lot.
@@diapozitīvs yeah it seems on CRTs it's not a problem but on LCD monitors it's sometimes almost impossible to see anything even with the flashlight and increasing brightness looks washed out. But yes, this game has bigger problems.
you couldnt really go wrong with SH Origins back in't day. It was one of them that showcased the PSP graphics. Granted it used noise filter and the dense fog to hide certain details lacking but Silent Hill Origins was basically the perfect horror title on the go. I'm trying to play the PS2 version via emulator but having to swap between software & hardware mode due to the glitched flashlight.
@@Mick2K yeah I noticed that. So this dev build will be released as 1.7.0 I assume? Fast texture validation doesnt really fix the issue at all, only half the light displays but then it goes all blocky anyway. I remember years ago trying this and you couldnt even get the light to work at all which wouldnt let you progress in the game. Its weird how a simple light source can have such an affect on this emulator in its current state.
@@Mick2K I see. Well hopefully next year or after. I mean with the speed of emulation now and with powerful CPU's and GPU's to take advantage of the code. PCSX2 is near perfect. Its just the odd irregularities you have, SH-Origins being one for instance. But you even have a PS4 emulator which is closed-source but still an amazing milestone. It can run 2-D games like Sonic-Mania with some colour/graphical issues. It can start up Dark Souls with its HUD but no graphics and responds to input. Persona 5 can start up but with distorted graphics but visible HUD. I think it will be a long time till you get games like The Last of Us 2, Uncharted and God of War games working smoothly on it though. But its out there and its amazing
Check: On Psp is more fog than on the Ps2, but Ps2 is a lot darker than Psp. On the Ps2 are a little bit more Details than on Psp. Travis looks on Ps2 a little bit older. On psp, i guess he is 30 Years old and on Ps2 maybe 35-37 . Thank you for the Video :))

yo admiro mucho la expresión de las caras en la PSP, sobre todo en los ojos, su claridad supera mucho a la PS2. Ves a los personajes más vivos con más expresiones y puedes saber como se sienten realmente, a diferencia del ps2 que parecen androides.
playing this game in a real psp, laying on bed and lights off in the night, a masterpiece to enjoy
I play this in my psp bed sittong all volume high earphones and dar room was best experience.
And many better on a PS Vita
Amazing how good PSP games can be, now if those AAA titles were on the Vita.... So sad... Metal Gear, Silent Hill, Resident Evil, GTA, PES...

I kinda dig that the PSP version has a bit of that grittier ps1 esque texture
For some reason i like the psp version better. Let's not forget that this game first came to psp and then it was ported for ps2.

I prefer the PS2 (Original) version than the xbox 360 version

Best FPS
Best Fog
Some Elements Looks Better as (Doors, Windows, Grounds, Tables)
PS2 Version
Best Graphics&Texures
Best Models
Better FOV
