You've made a valid point here, u don't always need to buy seeds from farm store just assuming that they'd grow better. That's how we lost the indigenous or desi varieties of seeds. Really appreciate your efforts for doing all these things. 😃

I wanted to request you to make a video on growing exotic herbs. Like rosemary thyme oregano sage . I have tried so many times but failed. Changing the soil or not changing the soil the plants came in .. over watering . High temperatures.. I don't understand what I need to do to keep them alive. What type of soil to use. It would be great if you could do a video on this . Thanks again

My understanding is that methi is less common internationally, although obtaining it even here in Canada is not impossible. The French term fenugrec, from which we get fenugreek, comes from the Latin "foenum Graecum" or "faenum Graecum", both of which mean "Greek hay", pointing to methi's other common usage, which is as a fodder or grazing crop for animals such as cows, sheep, and goats, in places where lucerne (alfalfa) doesn't grow as optimally. You can also grow it in the garden as a cover crop, under the same theory as other annual legumes being used as a cover crop. You disk, crimp or trample it into the top of the soil, rather than ploughing it into the soil profile, for best effect.
To direct-sow onto land, you would likely want to use a lower density than shown here.
