Solved E4. With all those proper names, I figured I was going to make a few mistakes and sure enough I made 3 of them along the way. Will share my solve tomorrow.
Let's just say it would have been easy to cheat and have a perfect solve ;-) But I never do that. I always approach Connections with what I know (no outside help) and treat my mistakes as a learning experience.
@@TiqerboyI sure learn a lot doing these puzzles. Today I learned about beers. Yesterday I learned that STASH and MOTEL are portmanteaus, along with the word PORTMANTEAU to describe them. 🙂
@@ellensassani of those I was only familiar with MOTEL and BRUNCH. Motor + Hotel = Motel. Everybody knows what Brunch means. Apparently STASH comes from Stow and Cache. It's a much older word, so we don't think of it as a combination of two other words.
I think we had bacon before. Makes it so much easier to solve these puzzles when you can eliminate words because they were the answer in a previous puzzle. Would be nice if they would repeat previous answers. Make it a bit more challenging for those who play every day.
It's a different kind of challenge to remember so many words! But I know what you're saying. At some point it's going to get ridiculous. I do wonder what they're going to do about that situation. Not to mention when the 5-letter words run out entirely!
@@DailyWordPuzzlesWithOranje28 trouble with that is that they then won't have the same puzzle for everyone which was the brilliance of the originator more than the puzzle itself. So it has to be even if randomly generated fixed for say 30 days out.
I couldn't help noticing that the letters in your Wordle puzzle were showing up in an unusual font today. Wordle normally uses a sans serif font but yours was using a font with serifs. I wonder if this might have been related in any way to the glitch that happened later when you could not open Strands. Just a thought.

My font was normal today, but once in a while I get one that looks like what Oranje got today (or whatever day he recorded this, LOL).
It was probably last Saturday based on the time of day I am recording.

You go to connectionsplus.io and you’ll see a pink CREATE button in the top right . From there you create your categories and clues.
