I had no idea about SET CARDS, so I looked it up. "Set" is the name of a card game involving cards with different shapes, colors, numbers, and shadings from which the object is to make 3-card "sets" where 3 attributes are either all the same or all different. Oranje would probably be very good at the game. 🙂

I was half way through strands before I twigged what it was about. Very clever . 4 on wordle KNOWN SHOWN CLOWN CROWN. Connections not too hard except for barbershop i had hair xxxxxxxx and just food heat not chilli specifically.

I didn’t do the full crossword, but following along I only got a few ahead of you. Great job, overall. Being a math major, I’ve heard of Mandelbrot.

I played your Connections, which I found hard: Oranje2 🟦🟦🟦🟦Nationalities (of Finland, Netherlands, Sweden, New Zealand) 🟨🟨🟨🟩Used by Fisherman (figured I would need to include MOTOR) 🟩🟩🟪🟩Tantalize / tease (Had RIB) 🟨🟨🟨🟨Used by Fisherman (It's unusual in Connections to include both the greater part BOAT and a component MOTOR in the same category), but I figured BAIT needed to go into the Green category. 🟩🟩🟪🟩Another attempt at Tantalize / Tease (Also had RIB) 🟩🟩🟩🟩Finally, to Tantalize / Tease. I felt as such trying to isolate this one. 🟪🟪🟪🟪All having eyes. Rib Eye, Eye of the Needle, , You are the Apple of my Eye (can't remember where I heard that) but SONG didn't make any sense here. I got started with your second puzzle but I'm having a hard time. Lots of overlap. I cleared one category but I'm having a hard time finding anything after that. There are two categories that are fairly obvious but too many choices for each. So it's a matter of figuring out the purple from just one or two words left and that's hard. In fact I find these kinds of Connections the hardest. I'll have to walk away from this one for a while and see if anything jumps into my brain by tomorrow.

I played Strands ES1. So I found Subscribe and had to try various iterations to end up with Subscribers. Then Percent, but the Spangram still wasn't evident. Eventually found it, then the rest of the words, but some of the words, I don't make the connection. Funny I put in Yards, and I used the wrong Y. It made the correction automatically for me. Never seen that happen before. Does that happen with the NYT version? Interesting puzzle.
