I don’t think it would matter if you use whole milk for these… Buttermilk has the acidity thing goin on which makes dough have a lighter/fluffy consistency.. This dough is more stiff and heavy anyways so it shouldn’t matter😊
Hey Nora😊… I’m actually not certain on the “science “ 🧐🤣part about that because I’ve got a chocolate pie recipe that you mix all of it together before cooking and it works beautifully!… MAYBE… And this is just Talli Faye thinking 🤔🥴… but it’s just the way I’ve seen all my life watching all the older generation of ladies do it! There’s gotta be a reason that I don’t know lol?!?… Now you got me wanting to do a video on my chocolate pie recipe that does it like you’re talking about! Lol Either way I like for my viewers to learn both ways of doing it because soooo many of the younger ones don’t know about tempering eggs when it calls for that in old classic recipes!
