@@WorldOfWesteros I can imagine her being a bit of indulgent with her whims as she was carefree while her old sister maintained a cold professional behavior.
I often wonder how she would’ve reacted if she had remained alive to see how Visenya encouraged the monster that was her son Maegor and how he treated her son’s children.
I think things would have been very different, i don't think Aenys would have developed such a weak will if his mother had lived. A stronger Aenys negates a lot of the need and argument for a strong King. Maybe it still would have happened as in the books, but i do think much of Maegor and Visenya's arguments of why he needed to be king would not be valid if Rhaenys lives.
@@WorldOfWesteros I agree with you, I think it would invalidate the argument but Maegor is a monster and would probably still push for the throne. It’s at that point that I wonder if Visenya would support him and move against Rhaenys and her son or not. Instinct says probablyyyy not but you never know, it is her son.
She’s my favourite I honestly believe she lived her body was never found I believe maybe the dragon wrapped around her before impact and saved her that would make sense
Maybe the Dornish Princess did in fact return Rhaenys, alive and wellcared, back to Dragonstone if the war ended, that would explain why Aegon flew back to Dragonstone. Rhaenys would be the one convincing Aegon to end the war and sign an enternal peace with Dorne as an gratitude for the hospitality of Dorne. However,Aegon decided to not let the public know Rhaenys is alive and wellcared for in Dorne as he rained down fire upon the Dornish castles,so Rhaenys had to adopt a new identity and spent the rest of her life in Dragonstone.Possibly gave more babies to Aegon.
Honestly maegor may have been cruel but I think some of the problem’s with him was because of aegon refusing to even pay attention to maegor or acknowledge him and stop some of the things visenya was whispering to maegor. Sorry but had aegon actually pay attention to him and stop visenya from manipulating maegor he would’ve turned out differently.
You want to be angry with the dornish because rhaenys was supposed to be so beautiful youthful and a champion of women and children but they came to those people home and tried to forcefully take control so when logic then justice sets in you realize she had it coming .
Would Aegon have face a problem with of succession down the line considering he took two sisters wives Rhaeneys and Visenya as queens? Obviously he chose Aenys as his heir through the line of Rhaenys but was succeeded by his brother Maegor who is from Visenya bloodline but they both were terrible kings but brought a better king after Maegor death into Jaeherys the first who from Rhaneys line and so on but Visenya bloodline die out with Maegor. My main question is what was Visenya plan with her bloodline if they had survive?
I side with the idea that Visenya original plan was to merge the two lines in some way, hence why she later trying to betroth Maegor and Aenys first born daughter Rheana. But then once Prince Aegon and his brothers were born it kinda wouldn't of mattered anyway. I think she simply wanted her son on the throne and used Aenys weakness as reason. But by having two wives there was always going to be some unhappy people, i mean look at the Dance Of The Dragons and that way just because a king remarried. But in the end i guess her plan was simply get Maegor on the throne, marry him to Rhaena to strengthen the claim and merge the lines. But Maegor being Maegor that was never gonna work. This is what i like about how fire and blood handles people like Visenya. It creates a lot of speculation.
@@WorldOfWesteros ignore my second comment I was going say it was weird they said that Aegon spent ten nights with Rhaenys and one night with Visenya really hard to believe that this guy have two wives and not having more than one kids to each of them but I him give a pass due to he probably forcus on the conquest and not wanting a kid during wars time. Plus it shows that Aegon see Rhaenys as true a wife and Visenya a true sister I think giving more time Aegon and Visenya could have love each other more but after the death of Rhaenys I guess they distance each other really shows Rhaenys is the glue that keeps them together but if I was Aegon I would have a threesoms with my 2 wives every nights 😉. Finally what would you do to Dorne before Rhaneys went there if you were Aegon because in my opinion the situation in Dorne was Aegon too proud considering he conquer 6 kingdoms and thought Dorne would fall the same but it prove they are unpredictable. So what would you have done differently.
The Dornish leader let his daughterheiress to deliver the letter,it probably has something to do with Rhaenys. Contrary to what the officialrecord say,Rhaenys was still alive and wellcared for by the Dornishmen. The letter is about to send Rhaenys back to Dragonstone after the war ended,Aegon possibly went to Dragonstone to meet his sister and unwilling to sign the peacetreaty but Rhaenys told him how she was welltreated in Dorne and wanted end the war as a gratitude to the Dornish hospitality. She would kill herself if the war continued and live in Dragonstone, the place she grew up,for the rest of her life, under a new identity. That would explain why Aegon agreed the peacetreaty the next day and left the Dornish princess unharmed. Rhaenys may give Aegon more babies later on which may explain why the later Targaryens came from the Rhaenysline. However they were kept as Aegons bastards with other women as Rhaenys is officially dead on battlefield. Rhaenys probably died before Aegon.
There are definitely a lot of Tommen parallels. I don’t think they were necessarily bad kings, just very naive and easily manipulated. However without bad kings such as him and Maegor you wouldn’t have got a good one like jaehaerys who really solidified Targaryen rule.
Not just Aenys being a weak king. Rhaenys line may have continued but majority of her line was either weak, mad, easily manipulated by others, stupid, and unfit.
Sorry I did not quite catch that, at 4:27 - 4:35. Where can we watch the video talking about the possible survival and final fate of Queen Rhaenys Targaryen?

I feel bad for Rhaenys she actually sounded like she might have been a nice monarch in game of thrones which seems rare
Was she mentioned in the first book?
@@DavidGarcia-oi5nt full disclosure, it don't remember what I was thinking when I wrote this comment 2 years ago but that was around the time I read fire and blood so who knows
Absolutely not. Nobody was better than Aegon except Jaeherys, in the entire history.
Rhaneys was overly prideful, she forgot that even a dragon isn't un-killable. Especial in a non D&D world.
Her pridefulness isn’t something I had considered before, but it makes a lot of sense and fits what we know of her character

4:20 when Meraxes was hit, the bolt went through its eye and pierced Rheynes’s brain. It is in detail in the prequel Fire and Blood.

I think it’s very likely she did survive, what happened after is a mystery
Was she tortured?
I’m on page 9 of Fire & Blood and all I know about Rhaenys is her description, based on that alone she sounds a lot like me. I like her so far.
I think her personality makes her a very interesting character, and you can very much see lots of her descendants in her.
World Of Westeros that’s very true. She still did her part for her family too, even though between her and Visenya she wasn’t the warrior.
