yes it's fake by looking at that MAC address . it should be 00C0CAXXX
I just received mine, was actually nervous ordering because of this problem, im checking now to verify.
Edit: Opened it up and it was Genuine. Also had genuine driver disk not a sketchy one like in this video.
Well I obviously have a fake one... which didn't stop it hack 6-7 networks. Ok, its not as fast for browsing through it, using it instead of a WiFi card, but it discovers hell a lot ot networks.

It amazes me that they copy such a cheap product.it seems pointless. But they do. As a side point. I take medication for health issues and when I get some, they taste odd and I have side effects or I feel ill. I've discussed it with the chemist and I really believe that I get fake ones. Always be suspicious.
sir in india alfa adaptor are above 50 to 60 dollars in Amazon.....but in aliexpress just 7 dollars. that means aliexpress is selling fake things
Actually no. It likely means that the items are identical reproductions. Not substandard chips. And, also, he's comparing a 1W card to a 2W card. There's going to be a 2:1 difference. It seems that he may not be accounting for that
I checked mine (not from ebay). It has a similar pcb than the fake shown in this video. Mine has a hologram. No individual serial number on board though.
+hoggif Compaire it to the pictures on the FCC website transition.fcc.gov/oet/ea/fccid/ and all alfa boards have revision numbers on them
But please I want to aske you: How choose a best ALFA ?????

Whoever made that fake is the same company that made a cheap unnamed usb wifi card I have. I recognize that disc.
+chadmasta5 It would not surprise me, these thing would be made in the 1000s and end up in all sorts of generic cards.
PCB original alfa NH are a bit small i can upload some pics from my alfa genuine

Did you find a reliable source for alfa cards and what is your opinion about their new cards like AWUS051NH v2 , AWUS052NHS, AWUS052NH etc. Did you test them? Also could you please tell me how I can contact you to buy a Biquad Yogi Antenna ( If they are available)?
In my country these fakes are widely selling in eBay. So we steer clear from such listings.
Amazon should have original ones.
Amazon not sure... Only prime or fulfilled sellers are worth it. You can return and get refund easily.
Non verified sellers are a no go. Too many scammers.
Thanks my friend, I just found your video after ordering one ... I received a AWUS036NHA that I'm definietly positive that's a falke one even if I paid a max amount of cash for it.
If you want to know for sure take some internal pictures and post them on the facebook group.

@@Manche-De-Pelle No hologram then it is a fake. If you got it on ebay or amazon inform them and get your money back.
@@andrewmcneil i got it from amazon ... just contact the customer service and because it's from a tier seller I need to contact him. I don't know if I should called the authorities... by chance the seller live about 20 minutes from my place

I have got 3 of these cards. One of them works and the 2 others does not work that good. The one that works has a green led on front, and the 2 that does not work that good has blue led on front. Anyone see that same ?
I get the original Alfa Wi-Fi and efter one week didn't work it's bad
I lol so hard right now. BOTH of those are fakes...seriously. The genuine Alfa board in the AWUS036NH is much narrower, and has stickers on the back side with the serial number.
yeah, u are right, Alfa's MAC addresses start with 00:C0:CA Their serial numbers start with 2 digits representing the year e.g 12,13,14,15,16 etc, both fake xd

all of this usb wifi cards are bad.I have original awus036nha and after time of using, it became weak.I have tp link wn7200nd with ralink card inside and story is the same with this also.i dont know why they became weaker after some time
