They say playing this on violin is the Mount Everest of violin pieces, so I can't imagine what we can compare playing it on a bass should be compared to! Absolutely astounding!
This is almost superhuman. If Bach had heard that, there would certainly be Suiten /Partitas for solo double bass🤩
I’m convinced if Bach were alive today, he’d be a bass player. He’d probably play metal, too 🤘
thank you for making us understand again that the double bass is the most beautiful instrument in the world, you are the best
Congratulations on this masterpiece of an arrangement and interpretation ❤️
Ein fantastischer Kunststück, wie immer. So schön... Danke für die Musik
Best double bass Bach I've ever heard
Listen Florentin Ginot Chaconne my friend...
@@maximebertrand5626 His performance is also good. I recommend it!❤
As a young aspiring double bassist, i absolutely love your style of playing, you’re one of my biggest inspirations right now and I definitely will search for a masterclass with you in short my friend!💪🏼
Really first class playing. Thank you. When I was a young bassist I never experienced playing anywhere near this quality or ambition. Young players now have such amazing examples available to them and it will advance the art of the double bass terrifically.
Had no idea this was even possible for the instrument, and if so, never have I imagined with such an interpretation. I cried, figuratively. Well done.❤
Check out Florentin Ginots version as well
Until now your absolute masterpiece. I'm already looking forward to your next one 😊👍
AMAZING Dominik! 👏👏👏
wtf
Bravo! may your hands rest in peace
Love some of the arrangement ideas!!
Are you gonna play the whole partita? would love to hear you on that!
Your tone and phrasing is magnificent. Amazing!
Als Cellorist, welcher an verschiedenen Transkriptionen kämpft weiß ich genau um diese enorme Leistung. Stay strong and continue to give it all!
Your playing is as good as your instrument, this is really really good, I love the sound of this, thank you, it's heavenly
An inspiration, as always.
Buy the music he has spent 6 years editing. It's hard as hell but it makes aense.
I complain when I play this on the viola, I can't even imagine on a double bass
Assolutamente straordinario
Oh my....a Bass transcription of one of the greatest pieces of music created. ❤
Such a pleasure to listen to this rendition
Incredible performance, perfect, sublime and the Klang farben of your bass is absolutely beautiful!
Never would I have thought possible to play Bach's Chaconne for violin on a double bass, and certainly not on such a highly expressive musical level.
assoluto
Amazing!!!
You and your bass are both incredibly beautiful. Totally hooked ❤
textbook playing, and yet it's not boring⭐️ i wish i knew the back of my hand as well as dominik wagner knew his bass
standing ovation! great performance..mastery of the instrument..faithfull rendering of a tremendously difficult piece of music..congratulations❤
Va surement falloir que je m'achète une paire de bretelles...
Wow it's so beautiful👏👏👏
just wow...
Großartig! Danke!
Absolutely amazing preformance! I'm so happy to see this piece get picked up by more bass players.
Beautiful. I was so sad when you stopped playing 😢
What happen?
WOW, i am impressed...
Wait, this should be impossible
You should visit Prof. Božo Paradžik's videos too.
He is magnificent too
Excellent as usual. Super solo strings or other tuning?
It sounds like regular solo tuning to me, at least for the top 3 strings.
@@ryanpetriello3461 yes, he plays in G, sounding in A
This contains too many modifications of the original text (notes as well as harmonic content). If the piece can't be played on a double bass without jeopardizing its integrity, just leave it alone. I do respect your accomplishment as a player.
🤓
This is epic ❤
