Breeding some fish is not hard at all if you want to start breeding some fish it’s recommended to start with guppies they are the easiest fish to find and breed also they’re hundreds of fish to breed most of them are easy to breed some are hard just to keep that in mind
when i started getting into fish keeping i never really saw why people liked these rare plecos so much, i understand the appeal of a beautiful fish but couldnt wrap my head around plecos for some reason lol. watching this series as an Aussie has given me a new found appreciation for them!! i really enjoy plecos now, theyre so visually striking to watch them in real life, i recently bought my mum a calico longfin pleco and im very excited to watch it grow. :D
I have a theory that all varieties of plecos breed more easily if you don't have aquarium light because they are mainly nocturnal species. It worked with my ancistrus.
The amount of time and money you spent on these is insane . I Remember the guy who scammed you for some . I’m glad you’re finally being rewarded ! If anyone deserves Luck with this species it’s you bro

You got some beautiful babys 😍😍 and love how the tank looks. The L046 is not so expensive where i live we pay 50-75€ for a baby and 100€ for adult male and 120€ for adult female
You happened to mention Sammy wanting to eat the fish a couple times..🧐 is there a story there? Would love to hear it if there is! 🎉Congratulations on the babies, they are lovely fish!
Hi Nick. could you possibly give me any information on your water parameters for your L46. Do you use RO water or pre-filtered water through a 3 stage HMA filter. Love your videos, keep up the fantastic work & good luck in the future. Many thanks Pete from South Wales 🏴 UK
I have only ever kept piranha as a teenager but your passion for these zebra plecos makes me want to breed some. I guess I should probably start out with something a bit cheaper. The money is also a good incentive for breeding though. I guess it is just the upfront investment is pretty hefty. What's another midrange fish that is easy to breed? Like maybe $100-250.
in your update let us know your food and feeding schedule for the babies and adults would love to know what all you do and your water change routine as well thanks :)

Inbreeding is much more dangerous in humans than most other animals, in part because the human population went through a bad bottleneck some 74,000 years ago, when a huge volcano exploded and almost all of our ancestors died, and because the groups of people who settled in different parts of the world were often very small, so we tend to be much more closely related to one another than most animals. There are certainly many more reasons beyond this, too. On the other hand, field researchers a couple years ago found that with some tropical fish they studied, a certain amount of inbreeding is actually beneficial for the health of the population, and it happens a lot in nature. Line breeding has been a common practice in animal domestication the world over, and it seems that anything from fish to cows to rabbits can take a few generations of extra close family ties quite well. I‘ve heard the rule of thumb that for bettas at least, you don’t need to worry about adding some fresh blood for up to 7 generations. Anybody who knows better, please correct me if I‘m wrong!

Yes I know he lives in Australia and comes to the US and visit others. I’m saying if he’s getting $750 for them good for him . The people who buy them at that price oh well
Australia is ridiculously expensive for rarer fish and plants. For example, some fish stores try to sell a basic torpedo barb for over 200. The same goes for pea puffers - these were selling for over 200 a few years ago. When it comes to plants the cost of a crinum will blow your mind. We are all envious of the prices you pay in the US and Europe.

Show what u feed the adults and babies too
Good shit m8
wow 3-4cm zeb babies from supplier in uk £108 from breeders £80 each.... we have it lucky then here in UK
We can import more if breeders don't have them, it's illegal Down Under to import any new ones. So if breeders no longer have them, it's bye bye
If you sell those zebras, how do you do with the Cites III? What is the process when they are on that list?

It puzzles me why fish keepers never worry about inbreeding.
