Off grid living requires strength and perseverance, you both have my respect! I am a solitary person myself, but I do also get lonely on occasion. Community is more important than most would like to acknowledge 💕💕
My biggest concern would be a medical emergency. I realize you 2 are young and seem really healthy, but things happen. Make sure you have a serious first aid kit and have received professional level training.
I'm a 72 yr old man in Eastern Ont. I have never missed one of your videos and so glad you are a fellow Canadian. I am awestruck by the challenges you set for your self and complete I was a General contractor most of my life and know the ups and downs you set for yourself. I currently live with my 61 yr old wife of 43years and 3 years ago moved my now 76 year old sister who had some challenges of her own ( had to put husband in nursing home on account of dementia and I knew she would be in a financial strain and we had the room. I was born and raised on a 100 acre farm with 5 sisters and 4 brothers so I understand the labor involved. And you are so right about the daily exercise. You two are awesome and am very proud of you, GOD bless you both.
@stephenkennedy7931 brother, im glad you wrote that comment. Life is about working hard, thanking God for helping us through hardships, praying daily for help, healing, wisdom, ... and many dont see it these days fit to pray at home at least. I know that religion has become a tool of discontent and division nowadays, but....what matters is to keep our Faith in God and pray daily. I usually like to tell people not to be religious anymore, but to be faithful to God. Many young adults, and even elderly dont have God in their homes anymore because Religion has proved to be a tool of the devil ..But I dont know why many believe in tarot card readings, and psychics , and dont believe that God also exists in the spiritual realm. Many things will start happening in this world soon, and so many dont see it coming. Stay blessed Stephen.
I choose to live my life online too and you girls are a big part of my week! I’m a 74 year old female who lives alone in eastern NC. Having been here for over 20 years I will apparently never get over all that’s wrong with this place as I am an African American from Manhattan. Spending time with you two beautiful, intelligent, resourceful and courageous young women is a highlight of my week!!!❤❤❤❤❤
I am 74 and live near the Colorado border with NM. It has been -5° to -15 this month. I have 2 alpacas and a llama to feed and keep fed n watered. When the snow starts I put whatever I have on whole car if I am not going out for s few days. I think it is great that you also live alone and are doing what needs to be done on your own. It keeps me from getting depressed.
Okay, that scene with Jazz sitting alone in a chair talking about Isolation was Pure Genius and very Touching.. You ROCK Jazz! great moment you shared with us. Both Jazz and Chrystal are amazing Talents and personalities. We are so lucky to be the ones who discovered their channel!! :)
I agree that it really brought home the message about loneliness. My wife and I live on a farm with few close friends around after our recent move. It works for 'us' but not sure how it would work for the lone survivor years from now. I did expect the psychology telehealth group that have promoted to sponsor that portion of the video.
I totally get the difficulties that come with isolation. Since I got sick & became housebound I've become isolated. One reason I watch a lot of YT, you see real people living real lives, familiar faces. You may not interact in the same way as you would with friends etc but it reminds you that life is still going on, even hearing other voices chatting- isolation can be really quiet without adding background noise. Lovely video ladies, your editing skills are on point!
Same. Was bedbound for two years, now mostly housebound and youtube and channels like this, have kept me going. I honestly don't know how I would of stayed sane without them.
Same. Thank you for saying what I feel so succinctly. It's lovely to know that even in the isolation of chronic illness, we aren't alone, joining here, every Sunday to watch Jaz & Crystal live lives we wish for. Love to all of you! ❤️
Same here! Chronic illnesses that keep getting worse are making me stay indoors more than I would want to. At least we have these ladies and other you tubers to help with that
I forgot to add...the chair talk was extremely important and addressed in an honest conversational manner. I loved it. And being totally transparent, I also loved the walking away and dragging the chair. Kinda added to the point of the conversation and cute too. Be blessed TJ & Loki 🐾
The Chair Talk @ 20:50 is video gold. Between the snowplow, chickadees, and anti-brush barking, I can’t decide what is 2nd best part of this video, but The Chair Talk gives us all the feels, for sure. You guys are so awesome.
See "atcolinandpage" for the original Chair Talk. Colin is a friend of theirs, and has done two Chair Talks, in the woods, one of them with the Vanwives.
Long-time subscriber, first time commenter, ancient fart of a bloke, truly appreciate the hard work that goes into not only living your dream but the effort you put into sharing it. The filming, editing and story-telling has been getting ever more sophisticated and compelling over the years. Congratulations, thank you, and long may it continue - the sharing with us, and your happiness being together and with your chosen path.
Thanks pack. I’m single live in a small town. Been here for 6 years. I produce music at my home studio and often feel isolated due to the fact that I don’t work with anyone and am still gathering friends. So….being with you weekly is so good! Having lived off grid previously I feel I know you and have more in common than some of my community. Thanks for sharing your lives with us!!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Isolation and lonliness comes in many forms and mental health awareness still has its misconceptions. Thank you for bringing it up this episode. I love how you all bounce off one another and keep yourselves entertained on top of staying busy! You two are brilliantly inspirational. ❤
Yes Arlene, it is a very important topic and one that must be discussed more on so many levels. We appreciate your kind words they are heartfelt. We are honoured to have you in our community. 💛🐾
@@Vanwives Psalm 91 guys...it helps a lot too ( along with physical exercise and outdoors activities) So..Psalm 91 starts with " The one who rests in the shadows of the Most High God, will be kept safe by the Almighty./ I will say about my Lord that He is my place of safety, and my fortress, He is my God in Whom I trust." God bless.
What a perfect example of loneliness-that was brilliant 🥲! I relate so very much. We raised our children on a farm at the foot of the Rocky Mountains in Colorado. Between the kids the animals and a few distant neighbors, I very seldom got lonely. However, I’m now in my 70’s, and we got a little 118 year old farm in the Smokey Mountains quite a ways out of town. We heat our house with wood and cook with propane. Without my kids grandchildren and neighbors, I do get quite lonely. You girls are angels. This episode was fun and so encouraging. THANKYOU from the depths of my heart😌🙏❣️
You forgot to add that there's really no hard timelines except for seasonal chores and submitting your videos of course. You've put together are real bush paradise and should be proud (very proud) of yourselves. You really aren't alone at all with all of us viewers watching every week, even as far as Australia where I'm from. Take care you two and stay safe.
Those lucky pups are living the doggy dream along with you. 💖🐶💖🐶 Your meal looked delicious!!! Yes. Isolation is challenging when living off-grid or alone. You make me feel connected and give me adventures to look forward to each Sunday. 🤗❤️🎶🇨🇦
Hello Kerry, the sure do love their life of no collar no leashes and just being able to roam the land. Our dinner was so good. Thanks for being a part of our pack.💛🐾
You girls are such an incredible inspiration.(this coming from a 64 year old man) Y'all just throw yourselves out there and share it so effortlessly. Thank you for your precious time and making the world just a little more enjoyable for "The Pack"! Blessed be ✨️
Thank you for addressing loneliness - reading the comments definitely makes me feel less isolated. Recently having moved back to my small hometown after 20 years and beginning the off-grid journey is tough as a single person. You're both so inspiring and have fostered such an amazing community
You two are just wonderful and amazing. I can’t believe how much you’re both accomplished in only a year. Seems like I’ve been watching way more than that
Crystal & Jaz, it works the other way has well, you make our lives a little less lonely. - I will always trust your honesty in all things, I can't wait until you have all the power you need, and you will still a backup if needed. Love from Mike. ❤❤
I've been a part of your pack for years. Even know I enjoy every minute I'm unable to be a patron. I'm so grateful for your videos. I can't wait to see what you're all up to each Sunday. Thank you!
I am so moved by your confession of isolation Jazz and Crystal. It’s truly inspiring what you do and how far you’ve come but honestly, it takes amazing resilience and a deep true bond like yours to be able to make it. Keep on keeping it real, and much love 💕
Jazzy you're the best 💕💕💕. Speaking about mental health and isolation is so central to life. I'm a recovering cocaine addict, clean over 5 years, and beginning to see how isolating that choice was. I also agree I feel like I know you both. Your channel is my Sunday wakeup. And, your editing etc has grown so much, your drone game is 😍 amazing! Have a great week... John
Hey John!! Thank you for sharing a little bit about yourself! Good for you! Glad you could also relate to our message. Have a great week see you next Sunday 💛
@johnmccabe7645 stay strong in your personal relation with God Almighty. Religion is no good,....but your one on one relation with God will give you more breakthrough and protection. Especially by reading or listening to some of the Psalms daily. God bless! #jesuschrist #savior #endtimes
You can live in the middle of a big city and still feel isolated. I've lived in the UK for 38 years in the suburbs of London, living in my current house for 32 years and I get on with my neighbours, but if I died in my house, it would take them about 3-4 weeks before they would realise they hadn't seen me for a while. That's really sad and that's with neighbours that I get on with. Others pass me in the street and never even say hello. I'm planning on moving back home to Ireland hopefully later on this year. I have 8 good friends I've known since I was 12 (I'm 60) and when I see them it's like we saw each other last week and you can't put a price on that kind of friendship. Can't wait to move and start a new fresh episode of my life for the next 20 years
Isolation among the elderly is prevalent. You two have each other and the great dogs. I am thankful to share my views with you. What a great home place you are creating. Thanks for sharing and your kindness.❤
I just want to say THANK YOU!! for sharing you life's with me. I'm almost seventy years old and I have out lived everyone in my family. I have been living alone for eight years and totally get exactly what you saying. You can live alone and not be lonely, & have a healthy body and mind. For me many hobbies and some faith!! Thank You ladies!! aw-woooooooo
Truthfully it seems like we have nothing in common. And yet, you really feel like friends. I so look forward to my visit with you each week! I am awestruck at all you are able to accomplish and inspired by your determination and sheer willpower. Thank you for sharing your lives with us. Physically I can't do much to help you other than maybe bake you some cookies, but I would love to join you some quiet evening curled up with the pups, just chatting or even reading books side by side. Sitting in your living room on a cold winter night just seems like it would be blissful and cozy and purely enjoyable. When you start to feel lonely, remember those thousands of followers also consider ourselves as friends. We wish you the best and we love you . ~a grandma in Ohio
Thank you for sharing your lives with us. I'm a widowed 77 YO male and live by myself with my dog, whom I rescued three years ago. I can see where isolation can be the most challenging part of living off-grid or even alone on-grid. You have each other and a loving respectful relationship as well as your two dogs. Luckily I have family nearby and my dog. You ladies make me smile every time I watch you. ❤
I just turned 60,and have no tribe. I have a daughter 30 min.away, that's it. I feel isolated on a daily basis an it sucks. But watching these 2 help me tons.
That bit at the end was the most important part thanks Jazz. I live off grid in Aus and building my own home, it's tough at times but the loneliness is the toughest.
You’ve accomplished so much, learned so much, it’s truly impressive! But your videography skills are next level in my opinion. In the beginning you were cute and awkward and now you’re both so thoroughly entertaining. Even when you’re educating your audience you’re entertaining us. I appreciate this aspect of your videos as much as I do learning how to install a roof. Anyone can record something and post it on RUclips, what you guys do is far beyond that. It’s a joy to watch you grow, thanks for including us!❤
I lived off grid for 8 years and you are right, isolation is a big deal. Welcome in so many ways but also harsh at times. I’m not off grid now but the way I live now is most often very much like the way I lived off grid. You learn so much when you live off grid, including exactly what you do and don’t need to survive and be happy.
Over the years that I have been following, your camera work, editing, and story-telling skills have developed in a phenomenal way. I love watching you! ❤😊
I concur. Real pros. Love your hard work and positive attitude. A question though, without diminishing your merits, again, you are great, but could we have a general idea of the cost factor of the stuff you are using ? The batteries farm, the gigantic solar panels etc. .. that must represent a nice sum.
It's glad to see you ladies enjoying your wonderful life..I wish I had thought of it 30 years ago...im 61 and a widower but y'all energize me on nearly every episode
I work from home which is very isolating. I do love hot running water and having fast internet, but I am stuck, yes stuck in a big city with noise. I love where you live, your videos, your puppies, your trees, your giant solar trees, your determination to just get it done. Look forward to seeing your bright faces every week. Thanks for a wonderful video, much love to you all in your snowy forest home.
The hand feeding chickadee is testament of your personal great energy source. Thank you all for The edited version of your life is rich and you are so welcome to keep on keepin on. I will share your video with my 97 year old friend who questions the choices made by off grid homesteaders. She grew up with her dad managing hydroelectric plants before during and after WWII and questions all aspects about making a living and planning for the future. I would like to share you with her next visit.
Yes Eleanor the chickadee’s are so beautiful and trusting. Please share with your friend. We are sure she could teach us all with her experience and wisdom. See you next Sunday.💛🐾
Awesome video ladies , what hit me the hardest this week on your video is loneliness. After moving into a lake front property with 2 acres almost 2 years ago and working from home as a financial advisor that loneliness started to sink in about a couple of months ago. The only thing that keeps me going is faith and my dog but other than that, that's it. lost most of my friends due to COVID or other illness within last 3 years. Just wanted to say thanks for sharing your home and your crazy adventures that makes us all smile and always looking forward to watching your videos every Sunday. Thank you for being awesome!
Love your videos each week! You gals are truly amazing. I’m 73 & can’t imagine doing all the work you do. Your last scene about isolation was so touching & beautiful! ❤️ Blessed & love til next time!
Good points on the evolution of off grid living. I'm on the grid with my homestead, entering into my fourth year it's been a journey to establish it, but as a medically high risk person, and new to the community just as the pandemic started, I have very few local connections and a lot of the isolation factors. I couldn't make it without online life and connections. You two have been soooo helpful even if you don't know it. Your channel is a great inspiration. Thanks for making all the videos that you do.
I look forward to your videos on Sunday but I think this video touched alot of us with your honesty about isolation and feeling alone. Thank you for always delivering a genuine message to your pack 💖
Last year I had long Covid and was really struggling. Your channel and zest for life was such a blessing each week. Thank you so much. Enjoy each other and the beautiful place you've created. Xx 🇮🇪
Like many have stated here, I also struggle with isolation daily. I look forward to your videos every week as they do take the edge off. Keep up the great work.
Thanks for your honest view of what it’s like “off grid”. Myself and my wife are in Spain and while we are learning the language it’s still mainly the two of us and we can understand a little about isolation. It will get better but especially in winter it can be lonely. Connecting with you both makes it a little less lonely. Thank you
@Vanwives No, thank you for letting us be a part of your lives ❤ I am grateful, truly! And to this week’s tear-jerker! Jazz siting down and beginning her talk about the loneliness and the huge spectrum. I sure as heck relate to those words and I teared up as they hit right at home with me! But they are also in many ways encouraging. Because when you have an open talk about it, it validates it and removes the stigma/the hush hush about these immense feelings loneliness can bring! So thank you Jazz and Crystal for sharing your thoughts, feelings and how loneliness does affect yourselves❤❤
Sundays are the best! Coffee time with you all on tube!! I must say that I was a bit emotional when you spoke about isolation and the connections you have made here with the pack!! Thanks for sharing your awesome creative lives!
Hey Tami, loneliness is real and affects so many people it is different for everyone. We are grateful to have our pack community. See you next Sunday.💛🐾
Great video again gals. Especially the bit about isolation. I often spend time at my cabin alone. It's made tolerable by my trusty Westie, Zoe. You have accomplished so much this year, it's incredible.
Keeping it real as always! I’m not young, gay, Canadian, or living off grid - but you are my favorite you tubers! You’re the best at what moves me most - humor, kindness, grit and optimism! Thank you for your beautiful story telling! ❤
Really enjoyed this week’s in review video! Showing us how living in the middle of the winter can be fun too 😊. Really appreciated your discussion about isolation and loneliness… it is such a real thing for so many of us… thankfully we have the PACK … till next week
Thank you for sharing your lives with us. I love watching you figure out how to do everything, and nothing seems impossible for you two. You’re also such a lovely, genuine couple (and of course love those dogs too!). One can feel isolation anywhere-thanks for sharing about that-and it’s part of the dance of life to find community in new ways. Brava to you for doing just that. Wishing you the best from NYC.
Thank you for the moving words about isolation. Whether in the woods or city or on the road, we all need each other, sometimes more, sometimes less. Thanks for setting such a gentle and loving example.
Yes Elaine you are so right, isolation and loneliness happens everywhere. We were just sharing our experience off grid on our homestead. We appreciate your kindness. Thanks for being a part of our pack.💛🐾
Great video girls. I’m glad you allowed us to share in your story and to be part of your lives. Loneliness is my biggest concern for myself since my plan is to be remote and off grid in New Brunswick. I guess we’ll see what happens. Love you guys ❤
Always look forward to watching your videos on a Sunday and thank you for allowing us to have a glimpse into your off grid lifestyle and see not only the fun side but the hard work that goes into being so isolated from society but at the same time so at peace with where you live. Look forward to next Sunday ladies xx🏳️🌈🏳️🌈
Hello Debra, your kind words warmed our hearts. Thank you for supporting us. We are so happy to have you as part of our community. See you next Sunday.💛🐾
I thank you 4 for sharing all the vlog memories you 4 have shared. You 4 make my life less lonely. Along with the other RUclips channels I watched over the years. Like Maxx and Occy and so many more. 🍻 cheers to all of you having a great 2023.
Another great video! Sometimes isolation and boredom go hand in hand and you guys energize me to do more stuff and keep busy! Love our Sundays! Thanks for sharing!
This was a great video because the truth is real and of course there is a lot of the behind the scenes we don't get to see and you girls make it look easy. I love the pure joy you both get with each accomplishment. Keep rocking it. I always look forward to each new video. The clip off Jazz sitting in the chair was awesome. I think the most challenging thing living off grid is getting used to not being able to run to the store down the road when you forget to buy something or when you run out of stuff. It takes a lot of planning ahead and figuring out what is needed and not needed.
I have an off-grid house here in Finland where the main goal was comfort, just without being connected to any utilities. For all intents and purposes, the house has all the modern comforts you would expect from a house, with washer/dryer, dishwasher, flushing toilet, shower, etc. - it's just done without any utility connection. As you said - it's a spectrum, and some of the gate-keeping you find in some off-grid communities can be off-putting. Go with what your definition and goals are, and you'll be fine.
You girls are killing it. Redefining off-grid and meeting all of the challenges. Most of the obstacles you have conquered would have defeated me in a New York minute. I'm only one of over 325 thousand fans and yet you frequently make me feel special with your personal replies. I love you so much. 🌈💖🧡💛💚💙💜💋
Love spending Sunday mornings with you both. Your honesty about isolation, although it may seem romantic, is spot on. Thanks for taking us along on your journey. Just curious, how far are you from Tyler and Todd?? do you visit often??
Hello, we are honoured you are spending your Sunday morning with us. Isolation is real, thanks for understanding our message. We wish we did see our bf Tyler and Todd more often. See you next Sunday.💛🐾
As a child we fed the Chickadees every time we left out the back door of the house. We had to bring sunflower seeds with you as they landed all over you. Your feeding your chickadees reminds me of those days. Thanks for sharing!
I always look forward to your videos. But I enjoyed this one even more! It really shows the reality and diversity of possibilities for off grid living. And it shows how far you have come. Really and truly inspiring!
That was so nice for you to sit down and talk to us like that. I love you guys , i truly do you're very important to me and so many others I'm sure. Their's not a lot of things I enjoy lately , but there's one thing that I enjoy that ends my week with a kick and that is watching you guys. Y'all have gotten so comfortable on camera. Its all so natural and fun to watch. I always worry about you guys tackling all these new projects. I hope you all make safety soo very important. With that i mind, have fun and bless you all.
Love the quick-paced visuals. Lots of variety. After putting up the ceiling boards you might want to monitor the temp differential between the roof air space to the ceiling and the indoor temp. Reason - moisture buildup on the upper ceiling causing mold. Spray foam insulation may be the barrier needed to prevent this moisture buildup.
I'm was moved by your words, Jaz, thanks! I am living in a small city in the Netherlands (Deventer). I'm watching the four of you for quite a while now and I am really enjoying it! I like your lifestyle, your energy, the way you connect to each other and I love you all!!
An unusually good episode, showing how you cope when things don't go as planned. Really appreciate Jazmyn's soliloquy about isolation! This episode showing the work you have to do every day to make your life work is very helpful!
Thank you both for sharing everything you do and giving us the opportunity to experience most of it with you. Look forward to new adventures every Sunday.. Thanks again for sharing and continue in the life style you both love. Stay warm up there....
My husband and I really enjoy watching both of you. Watching you split wood brings back a bad memory of our son who had a splinter of wood shoot into his eye splitting wood. You live so far in the woods, please wear protective eye wear. 💕
Jasmine, you brought me to tears talking about isolation and loneliness. You are a great individual and fantastic partner to Crystal. Admire the amount of work you both accomplished over the past years iv3 followed your channel. Please continue to enjoy the simple pleasures of your lifestyle!
Ya'll did great on your voiceover work, engine sound effects made us laugh also..We enjoy watching the work that your doing on the cabin and the land but today's video was extra special because you both showed us a little bit of the human side of living off grid...Very well done and look forward to next weeks video.
As I senior living alone in a crummy city with no friends and no one special to share my life with I spend far too much time online, both working on my website business, chatting and watching too many movies, but the best part of my week is catching up with you two delightful girls. I am constantly amazed at what you've accomplished. Love ya!
You girls have accomplished so much on your property in such a short time. It amazes me how much you do on your own, you gals are smart and not afraid of hard work. Love your channel💕
So proud to be considered part of the pack!!!❤❤❤❤ Watching loyally from Reno, Nevada and so miss you all when you take your much needed down time. You two are the epitome of strength and perseverance, true adored pioneers of the norm!❤❤❤❤
Hey Jaz & Crystal, Bella & Izzy, great video, Jaz I especially loved the scene set up for the Isolation segment, and thank you for bringing that up. So glad you’re making your own definition of off grid in 2023. Snow plowing looked incredibly fun. I’m in Australia so have only experienced snow a handful of times. Thank you for sharing your off grid journey with us. 🪶🤍😀
I live alone in a small town in Mississippi. I never talk to anyone. You two have each other be satisfied with what you have and be happy!Embrace it. It is all you need!
Perfect message , Ladies. 👍. I live pretty much off-grid, too, and install solar systems for off-grid homes. Living with solar is a numbers game. Energy that is consumed has to be created by you. So if you consume 100 watts, you have to create 120 watts, since every battery in the world is only 80% efficient. And Jazz, I applaud you for keeping a close eye on energy consumption. After a short while, it becomes an easy habit, no different than watching the gas gauge in your car so you don’t break down somewhere far from a gas station. Easy peasy. Love that you show the reality of off-grid living.👍
Hey Mtnsunshine, so cool to be installing solar systems and living on grid. We salute you! With Crystal I have to keep the closest eye or it would be gone! Yes good analogy wit the gas gauge. Thanks for supporting us, we are happy to have you in our community. See you next Sunday.💛🐾🌞
The outside world is not always so easy to live in. I wish people could be more nice to each other and respectful. Your place is growing and will continue to be so beautiful. Thankyou 🤗
Hello Denise, a beautiful world we would have if everyone was just kind to one another, Respectful too. Thank you for sharing and tuning in. We are happy to have you in our community.💛🐾
Yess, I love you ladies! Your energy, enthusiasm, humor! The audio loss had me rolling (totally think it came out funnier with the VO! Haha) great work ladies, soooo impressive all that’s you’ve done and built! Can’t wait to visit!!!!
You all are very special! Your content is so authentic, relatable and inspiring and is presented in a way that is fun and uplifting while still conveying great information!
I moved from a large town almost a year ago to another state, on one acre, in a fixer upper home, where I am 10 miles to the nearest town...your right the first year is the hardest. I am so very proud of you girls, for your hard work and perseverance. You keep me inspired and encouraged. I look forward to your videos every week. You also help to make my little world less lonely..
You both have made off grid living customised to you and rightly pointed out that like most things in life, there is a spectrum. I have been following you for years and you still give us something to love your channel More each week.
Simply say I love the show today. Including the part about loneliness. I live in a town I have family that lives around. But I’m still lonely. Keep up the good work girls
Same issue here, Harvey...Live in the middle of the city, yet I'm lonely. Not all the time...but being older, I don't put myself out there. I enjoy having a few solid friends that a see once in awhile, than being surrounded by people in my life.
Always so much fun watching you two! Couple of things: We have Starlink, too, and discovered that (with a couple of small modifications) a tv mini dish mount works well to get the dish off the ground and connected to the roof of our house. Also, we have had a geothermal system for about 15 years in Ontario, which has been great for heat and hot water. The efficiency characteristics are one unit of energy input to 4 units of energy output. That means it uses very little energy to generate lots of heat, and it can run on battery power. Perhaps a future solution to reduce your dependency on propane for showers!
You ladies inspire me. I’m almost twice your age. I especially love that you addressed the isolation factor as it’s easy to just think about the ups but not the Dow s of off grid living. ❤
Thanks for sharing the reality of off-grid living. I've been watching since you started turning your cabin into a home. You have evolved from pretty basic to getting to a point of real comfort. This video showed that being comfortable off-grid involves a lot of thought, effort and commitment. Congratulations to the two of you for accomplishing so much.
Great job ladies. Another great video. It’s awesome that you’ve created your own version of off grid. I kind of have my own version. Well as soon as my solar is completed I’ll be sort of off grid. Have a great week. Enjoy the video. Much love Mike.
I look forward to your videos each week and how far you've come is amazing. Living off grid would be great for me and the isolation would be good as I'm not a fan of being around lots of people.
"Community".... most define it differently. While I live in a city and own a small business where I have interaction with clients for a handful of hours a day....I still experience "lonelyness". So with that, thank you for all the hard work and planning it takes to "create" a day in your lives. I look forward to Sundays when most of your vlogs drop.
Thank you so so much for your videos! Last year was really hard for me cause I live in Ukraine as all of my family. So watching your videos, your energy and enthusiasm in overcoming every day struggles, your highs and lows, your openness and honesty became so helpful for me to get through my hard times. Love you and always waiting for new videos from you!
Blessings to you. 💕 Slava Ukraine ! 🇺🇦. Your country is in my thoughts and prayers daily. Now I can add your name to those prayers. 🙏. Please take care.
Thank you for sharing your truth. You make it look so easy but we know it’s not. I so enjoy watching you each week. I even follow the weather near you and worry a little during these storms lately. I know you both know how to handle it.
I greatly appreciate this video. I enjoy following your journey and the way you live life on your own terms. The freedom and autonomy you have inspires me to strive for a similar life. I live in a small Ontario town and find it lonely during winter. As a real estate agent and a morning runner, I often find myself on the road and lonely. These isolated moments can be difficult, but I remind myself that they are just temporary and serve to make the social interactions I crave even more fulfilling. I am also a content creator/RUclipsr and while scripting, filming, and editing can be lonely, it allows me to express my creativity and share it with others. I find joy in this aspect of my life, even though it may be solitary at times. Surprisingly, when I am showing houses or listing homes for clients, I tend to bond with them and end up forming strong friendships 90% of the time. This just goes to show that even in the midst of solitude, connections and relationships can be formed. Overall, I am grateful for the experiences and challenges life brings, as they help me grow and become a better version of myself. Keep learning and growing and most of all LIVING the life you want!!!! Looking forward to next Sundays video.
Spot on, ladies. I always hate it when people tell you that you aren't off grid because of the amenities you've worked so hard for. You tell people you live off grid and they envision kerosene lanterns, etc. I use a propane refrigerator (Crystal Cold is the brand, there are others), cook with propane, boiler, etc. Energy conservation becomes part of the lifestyle for sure. I have StarLink as well-a total game changer as I can work from home. We don't have any mail delivery but UPS and FedEx do deliver. Town is roughly 40 mins away, but we don't have any big box stores (those are 3 hrs away). I can relate to the isolation portion, but I'm thankful for my family who I talk to several times a week and daily check ins with my sister. I love the quiet in the winter but there are only about 6 full time families in my "neighborhood." I look forward to your content and contagious positive attitudes.
This is the one video that I look forward to seeing each week. My life in the north of England could not be more different than your off grid adventures which is why it is so interesting watching your progress with the cabin and the surrounding land. Thank you so much for sharing part of your life xx
You're probably going to have excess power in summer, so you could use a small induction cook-top for those months for cooking. It helps to lower the need for propane, but also helps to keep the place cooler.
We’re you expecting the reveal at the end of the video? What do you think would be most challenging about living off the grid? 👀

Hardest thing about living off the grid is there are no grocery stores nearby.
As yall said the loneliness...
So sweet of you to take your sister in. Bless you.
Well stated!!
Wishing you peace and love! ❤❤❤
I'm in Eastern NC too!
Adriawa Evans, I completely understand.... You are NOT ALONE❤️ SENDING YOU PRAYERS OF LOVE AND COMFORT ❤️🙏❤️🙏
You don’t have to be living off grid to suffer from isolation. I suffer with it and it is hard. Thanks for bringing it up
Okay, that scene with Jazz sitting alone in a chair talking about Isolation was Pure Genius and very Touching..
I could have written this about myself, but you have done it so well. Thank you.
At least we have these ladies and other you tubers to help with that
Goodness.
I'm not alone?
I forgot to add...the chair talk was extremely important and addressed in an honest conversational manner. I loved it. And being totally transparent, I also loved the walking away and dragging the chair. Kinda added to the point of the conversation and cute too.
Be blessed TJ & Loki 🐾
The Chair Talk @ 20:50 is video gold. Between the snowplow, chickadees, and anti-brush barking, I can’t decide what is 2nd best part of this video, but The Chair Talk gives us all the feels, for sure. You guys are so awesome.
Hahahaha awwww love hearing all your highlights! Thank you for watching 💛
Fun isn't it???❤🎶🎵🎶🎵
I live just in the country outside of the city and it’s still isolating and lonely so I have an understanding of your feelings
Hello, Robin from New Hampshire!
Hi Robin from U.K.
@@moreynolds9870 Hi Mo from the US!
Isolation and lonliness comes in many forms and mental health awareness still has its misconceptions. Thank you for bringing it up this episode. I love how you all bounce off one another and keep yourselves entertained on top of staying busy! You two are brilliantly inspirational. ❤
Yes you are absolutely correct! It seems so many relate and connect to this message all over the world 💛
Yes Arlene, it is a very important topic and one that must be discussed more on so many levels.
Oh Lola Nelson, you brought tears to our eyes. You are so sweet and we are happy to have you in our community.💛🐾
You guys are totally raising the vibe of this planet! One video at a time. Amazing! ❤️
Thank you 💛💛
You girls are such an incredible inspiration.(this coming from a 64 year old man) Y'all just throw yourselves out there and share it so effortlessly. Thank you for your precious time and making the world just a little more enjoyable for "The Pack"!
Blessed be ✨️
Aww Chick, thank you for your heartfelt kind words. We are grateful to have you in our pack. See you next Sunday.💛🐾
Aren’t they awesome?! Yes they are. Great energy and editing.
Thank you for addressing loneliness - reading the comments definitely makes me feel less isolated. Recently having moved back to my small hometown after 20 years and beginning the off-grid journey is tough as a single person. You're both so inspiring and have fostered such an amazing community
Kevin from Campervan Kevin says you need to have a backup to your backup to your back. Another words a plan B and a plan C AND a plan D!
You two are just wonderful and amazing. I can’t believe how much you’re both accomplished in only a year. Seems like I’ve been watching way more than that
@@scottsheck it's actually been a year-and-a-half. I think I heard them say they moved in there in July 2021.
Yah five years! Good for you John

Can't wait to see the bedroom transformation. Sounds like a great Winter indoor project to me. Stay toasty Ladies.
It’s a joy to watch you grow, thanks for including us!❤
You’re def. Off grid, not tapped into anything but what you’ve provided, so fun watching it all come together !! 💛🕊️💛TY
Hey Saner, thank you for your support. See you next Sunday.💛🐾
Thank you so much JP!! We remember your comments from the early days 💛
I concur.
Blessed & love til next time!
Loved this video. The Jazz scene was gorgeous and the way you coped with the lack of audio was genius! you rock!!

Thank you

No, thank you for letting us be a part of your lives ❤
I am grateful, truly!

Hey Heather, “ the truth is real” love these words. Thank you for all your kind words and for understanding! We are happy to have you in our pack. 💛🐾

So fun to watch you two . You are also a good team like Todd and Tyler. Thank you for sharing !
As I senior living alone in a crummy city with no friends and no one special to share my life with I spend far too much time online, both working on my website business, chatting and watching too many movies, but the best part of my week is catching up with you two delightful girls. I am constantly amazed at what you've accomplished. Love ya!
I'm grateful you talked about this. You're on my mind every time I see and hear the weather reports. Sending love and light.
You girls have accomplished so much on your property in such a short time. It amazes me how much you do on your own, you gals are smart and not afraid of hard work. Love your channel💕
You are certainly not alone you have all of us behind you all the way xx

RIGHT BACK AT CHA NIKKI!!! hahah thank you gal- we cannot wait to see you 💛💛
I'm glad I can help with the loneliness. You keep posting and I will keep watching. Thanks for all you do.
You all are very special! Your content is so authentic, relatable and inspiring and is presented in a way that is fun and uplifting while still conveying great information!
great to see you back ladies. It's been a long month without you
I moved from a large town almost a year ago to another state, on one acre, in a fixer upper home, where I am 10 miles to the nearest town...your right the first year is the hardest. I am so very proud of you girls, for your hard work and perseverance. You keep me inspired and encouraged. I look forward to your videos every week. You also help to make my little world less lonely..
You both have made off grid living customised to you and rightly pointed out that like most things in life, there is a spectrum.
I have been following you for years and you still give us something to love your channel
More each week.
Simply say I love the show today. Including the part about loneliness. I live in a town I have family that lives around. But I’m still lonely. Keep up the good work girls
Glad we could connect and you relate to our message 💛
Same issue here, Harvey...Live in the middle of the city, yet I'm lonely. Not all the time...but being older, I don't put myself out there. I enjoy having a few solid friends that a see once in awhile, than being surrounded by people in my life.
I love this video so much- from the voice overs to the heartfelt chat with Jazmyn. This is one of your best! Keep up the amazing work! Sending 💛💛💛
Always so much fun watching you two! Couple of things:
We have Starlink, too, and discovered that (with a couple of small modifications) a tv mini dish mount works well to get the dish off the ground and connected to the roof of our house.

Absolutely love checking in with you girls every Sunday. And I love that you addressed “all” of the off grid *things*. Much love to you both ❤
Spot on, ladies.
