Biking the Denali Highway

- This is a quick edit of our 250 mile bike tour on the Denali Highway from Cantwell to Paxson, AK and back. It was our first bike tour and we had a blast! The dogs got to run as much as they wanted and then they rode in the Burley trailers when they were tired. We saw the Northern Lights, a caribou, several moose, a bald eagle and a porcupine. We experienced nice sunny days, rainy days, and a brutal cold wind. We took 8 days to complete our trip.

Are you ok, are you still traveling? Where are you now?
Did you think your mountain bikes with fat tires was necessary or do you think a bike with 40mm tires (what I have) could cope with the road surface?
So is this basically what life is like in AK? I need to move there.
Just curious, do the dogs feet get hurt when running so long? I know here in Texas we have to put shoes on our dogs when it's so hot out.
