These kind of memories always remains with every body all through the life. A man who has written lyrical lines for 270 movies and scripts for 85 movies and remained in the Industry for several years at the top level, deserves all kind of appreciations , but sadly Mr. Thampi did not get the right kind of acceptance which he richly deserved. But Mr. Thampi has no regrets. He continues to be in his usual self and tells boldly what he likes to tell. A man who knows everything about film making . Mr. Thampi is absolutely a musical man one who knows the ins and outs of music. Indeed a rare kind of a personality.
Mr. Srikumaran Thampi . the "Ottayan" of the Malayalam Film Industry and one who has shown his dominance in each and every department of the Industry talks about him as a lyricist and as a qualified engineer , and entered the film line by leaving his lucrative construction business and went on to become one of the most acclaimed film personality of his times. Mr. Thampi followed his brother's footsteps and started writing at the tender age of 11. Thampi's progress in the film field was slow but steady , as he created his own style of writing poems and in the process Mr. Thampi became the favourite of many. It was interesting to listen to him about his earlier days in the film Industry and it was he who had brought to fame actors in the like of Jadathy Srikumar and Maniyan piiai Raju, by giving them with ample opportunities in his movies. Later on, both these actors became the leading personalities in Malayalam Film Industry. He had silently helped many people from the Industry. The Industry has benefited enormously from personalities in the like of Mr. Thampi , who has been actively involved in different fields and watched the growth of the industry from close quarters.
A versatile genius of Malayalam. He has contributed to Malayalam literature and film industry. But unfortunately he was not honoured appropriately. With his contribution to film industry, he even deserve 'Falke Award' and for the overall contributions he should have been awarded with many Padma awards, but even at his 80th Year, state government's recommendation was turned down by Central Government. But good thing is people of Kerala acknowledged his contribution 🏅. We salute you sir 🙏

A versatile genius of Malayalam. He has contributed to Malayalam literature and film industry. But unfortunately he was not honoured appropriately. With his contribution to film industry, he even deserve 'Falke Award' and for the overall contributions he should have been awarded with many Padma awards, but even at his 80th Year, state government's recommendation was turned down by Central Government. But good thing is people of Kerala acknowledged his contribution 🏅.
