ok guys…there is a big story you guys missed completely. if you are going to review a film like this, do a bit of research. the big story…women. to become a cardinal the unspoken rule is always..keep the women silent. the second thing a cardinal , never support women under any circumstance. Do not even speak about ordination of women. Second requirement… abortion is the greatest sin….something never mentioned in scripture. However the biggest sins are exposed when Jesus is in the desert and rejects power over others, pride, and feeding yourself over the hunger of others. These are the sins we see from the three rejected cardinals. Cardinal Lawrence has lost his faith in the Church..he sees it as corrupt, filled with pride. Then they elect someone who sees the world as it is, filled with suffering…. then comes the end….and it ..the curveball says there is reason to believe the church can move forward. Then he picks up a turtle and moves it a long. distance to the pond. He knows this story will at some point be leaked…he sees the whole thing as a gift from god..his faith is restored. You sound unprofessional when you talk about what you don’t know. it was a very satisfying ending if you realize the depth of having a person like the new pope become …pope. it is the beginning of a less male emphasis…an act of God. This could have been a better film with a bit more exposition of Cardinal Lawrence’s issues with the church….he would have been a good pope, but the surprise pope involuntarily moves the church forward just by being.
