Andrew does great work. I really appreciate how he takes care of his equipment. He's not afraid to use it for what it was designed for but is gentle at the same time. For his age, he's a real class act and deserves all the success he gets.
I like that you leave incidental stuff in, I used to just think it was me that had all sorts of odd little problems on the job. ;-) Its a good reminder that even perfect jobs have their time eating issues sometimes.
Man, I have seen some people that couldn't spread gravel like you did with a motor grader. Your videos remind me of when I was growing up in the sixties, and by Daddy was running his own construction company. I applaud your honesty and striving to do a good job. The world needs more like you.
I've been kind of binge watching your channel for the last three days and I can't get enough :) It started off when I stumbled on to the wave runner salvage and then I just kept digging in deeper - I've watched about 30 clips thus far. I've done a lot of landscaping in my past. Not so much on the excavation side of things, more of the fine tuning stuff, but I've dabbled in excavation and have always been around it. Basically, I just appreciate your "well rounded" skill sets through many disciplines. And, your attitude of just addressing the problem, whatever it might be, fixing it, and moving on. And, of course, the never give up attitude. So many of my friends think I'm some kind of Houdini when I can fix something that they have no concept of. It's not magic at all, it's just a basic, sound understanding of mechanical physics and more importantly, the willingness to push deeply into whatever you're working on. So many DIY'ers have been stopped in their tracks because they don't have that "push on" attitude, which is crucial. Thanks for uploading your experiences Andy and keep up the good work. I'll be following your exploits from now on.
That's it in a nutshell CJ :), Well said! Andy's skill set is just a conglomeration of the various skills he''s learned thus far in his relatively short time on this earth. If he continues on his path, he will amass so much knowledge that he will eventually become one of those old "wizard" kind of guys we all know... Those kind of old guys that everyone goes to, to ask their unsolvable problems to, seeking resolution that they always have the answer to. :)

My husband and I just love watching your vids! So informative and entertaining and you have so many skills! And a wonderful work ethic. Your parents must be extremely proud of you. Keep up the great work!
Nothing worse than going down a steep hill with a heavy load on a truck, I know, been there done that. You're smart to take it easy, no need to speed. Good judgement young man, good job as usual..
How about a going over, like an inventory , of all your machines. It’s just an idea I’m pretty sure you have 2 yanmars now don’t you? Anyway , I’m an independent contractor like your self and I use your videos to get me prepared for the day With admiration and respect Andrew. You are an inspiration. Thank you
Staying in control and low speed is safety. Speed is irrelevant if at bottom you and your equipment is safe and your brakes are cool. You did an awesome job Andrew.
A good friend of mine who is a trucker always says "safer to go down every hill you in counter a little too slow because you will only go down one too fast!" :) great work Andrew looks awesome . Good to see you brought the proper authorities to inspect the pond ;)
As a driver for the last 37 years... I love your attitude towards safety.. better safe than sorry.. I've seen enough accidents from people that were going to fast for the road conditions. Keep up the great video content.. Enjoy..
That job turned out sweet. The toys were fun at first, then the real equipment showed up on scene, made a huge difference. Your handling of that hill was spot on, very correct usage of engine/transmission/differential to keep control and speed.

Really like watching you do things even some of the thing you do exactly like the should be. even when things goes bump in the day you get through it. I like that you don't get hung up on problems. I used to stress the hell up when issues arose and cash started pouring out of my pockets, but now I take the good and the bad in stride. No use ruining one's day over problems.
Good call on the lower gear Andy, when I was truck driving the motto was always I'd rather be in 3rd gear wishing I was in 6th then in 6th wishing I was in 3rd. :)

I'll say this for your Andrew, you are a real worker. And good work, great finishes. I'm all over the place watching your vlogs, but love them. Seeing things done with those powerful machines, something that was never possible in my case, but certainly would have loved.
You might have what is called "silt lock" in that valve body. Contaminates in the hydraulic oil are the cause. The spool is precisely machined to close tolerances. The contaminates cause a burr to form on the spool and the burr doesn't allow the spool to move.
"There's not a lot of parking space on this property" - man, they must have a lot of vehicles. 100% love your videos, always watch them all the way through
It is funny to see you consistently having to move those flag stones / blue stones out of your way. Those are fairly expensive where I live and they are annoying garbage in your area.
Again a great job. Congratulations on your professionalism also for aerial images. How beautiful the nature. Worthy of applause see people living in nature in harmony. Congratulations.
You do some very impressive work. I could sit here at my computer and watch you work for hours. I drove trucks and tractor trailers also heavy equipment over my years of working on the railway. I guess that is why I enjoy your passion for how you do things. Thanks for your great video.

bobcats are one of the best machines a person who does what you do can own. but they have a few issues. one is dirt builds up under the peddles, there are drain holes in the floor so you can wash it out and sometimes they get stuck or sticky. wash it out and spray oil on the connections. newer models have moved these controls to the the joy sticks. also working on lines inside the engin compartment can get really tight. your work is greatand you work smart.
