    This was a VERY good video & you do have a calm & reassuring voice. I should have watched this BEFORE I installed the Bidet - I would've saved my unplumber self some time! I had some undoing to do to put the teflon tape on! LOL... it helped with the leaks I was having. AND I did not know what to do with those "toilet washers"! Not in directions ANYWHERE! Kept reading & re-reading the directions to no avail. Oh well... I did get it right, though, and hopefully there will be no drips! Now, that test with the plastic wrap... HOLY FLOAT! That could probably clean my tonsils! Sorta unnerved to take the thing on a test run!
    ***Had to tighten some of the connections to stop a few leaks but it works GREAT!!! Thanks for your help!!! Oh, & it actually won't reach the tonsils... LOL!!

      You are correct, depending if you have a steady hand and are sure about the aim. Perhaps a bowl or large pan might work too. My thought to caution was that some people may not realize the power of the stream and just test it while standing in front of the toilet. That would lead to a big surprise! Thanks for watching and your comment.

    • @whatsstephendoing3650
      @whatsstephendoing3650  3 года назад

      @@lilhope421 It could be that your seat does not need the added bumpers. It depends upon whether the existing ones on the seat are sufficient. Also, I found that the contoured seat bottom that mine had - as in the video - ultimately did not rest as nicely as I wanted. So I went to the hardware and got a new wooden seat with a flat bottom. That worked much better in my opinion.

    • @whatsstephendoing3650
      @whatsstephendoing3650  3 года назад +1

      @@lilhope421 perhaps you did not see my earlier reply. It could be you don’t need the added bumpers especially one towards the back. However if your seat has a contoured bottom (that is not flat) it probably means the rear contour is hitting the attachment. So you either have to adjust the seat forward or attachment back. Or you may just go get a regular wooden seat with a flat bottom.

    When you’re lining the device up prior to tightening the screws, the lateral (side to side.) position is obvious; right down the middle. But when adjusting for the longitudinal alignment (the line from the front to the tank) I’m assuming you’ll just have to do a bit of experimentation to see if the stream(s) are hitting the mark. I have to bend and contort myself in unnatural ways to get to the nuts underneath to secure the screws because of the proximity of my shower on one side and my sink on the other. Tiny little space to work within.
    Question: The stream seemed mighty powerful with the device “on”, after testing it out, was it in fact as painful as it appeared it might be? Or does the graduated flow controller actually work properly whereas it won’t sever anything you might need at a later date?

    • @whatsstephendoing3650
      @whatsstephendoing3650  3 года назад

      Flow rate will graduate, but it is strong if you go too far. Yes, adjusting might be necessary for the alignment it it doesn’t point where you want.

    I have the same Veken slim profile bidet. When I first connected it, the female water didn't come out at all and the bum water just gushed straight down into the bowl and not even out of the nozzle (looked like it was flowing out from above the nozzle housing on the underside). There was no reason for this. Everything was properly connected (this is easy stuff). So I contacted Veken and they sent me a replacement which I just received. I connected the replacement... and the same thing happens! My water flow here is fine so it can't be that. Can't seem to find any reviews from someone who's experiencing the same thing. Why this is happening? It would seem to me the flow tubes inside the housing are not connected properly to the nozzle heads (became dislodged somehow?) but I can't get inside the housing without damaging the whole unit. I just don't understand why the water spray isn't working for me like it should! Is it possible I've received TWO lemons from them??

      What you are describing sounds like the knob is misaligned. There’s the off position, then back, then clean, then front. The clean position makes the water gush straight down as you described - for cleaning the unit posts. So if the knob is misaligned, you may not reach all the settings.

      @@whatsstephendoing3650 Thanks so much Stephen. Earlier today I discovered the very thing you wrote. All along it was simply a misunderstanding on my part of the dials and how you adjust them to get the water flow. The problem is me, not the bidet. Boy do I feel stupid. Anyway, I'm writing this to help prevent anyone else like me from spending way too much time on this "problem." Cheers!
