Wow, girl. That was amazing. Chappell’s song hit so hard, and this was like a great sequel. The original song was so well done, I could imagine movie scenes in my head even with just the lyrics video. This version does the exact same thing but with different vibes and from a different perspective while still sharing the same bittersweet emotions. I’m going to geek out here, but I would call this version is like Ender’s Shadow vs Ender’s Game (for those scifi geeks out there). We covered the song closer to the original vibes. This could have been so hackish. But this might be the best attempt I've seen at flipping the perspective on a song since Tool covered "No Quarter." It feels like exactly the right things were left the same while the exact correct changes were made. And to top it off you performed it beautifully.
