- This is part 1 of our MILS upgrade of our young city. In this video you are going to see a modular building upgraded to the MILS system.
We get our inspiration for our MILS plates from Bevin's Bricks. Most of his designs can be bought from rebrickable.com. Instructions for this MILS plate can be found at rebrickable.co...

Great video Brickin Brood!! Love the conversion too MILS plate for the cinema, it looks great!
Thanks so much!!! We are pretty happy with the results, just need to duplicate it 100 times
Really enjoyed the video, the mill's stile looks great. Keep up the good work, hope everyone is having a nice day.
Thanks Chris!! I'm enjoying the switch, but it's taking a while. I hope you have a great day, take care!
@@BrickinBrood thanks
Looking good dude!
Thanks Bricksie!!! I have some more parts to finish my train ballast soon, the bricksie way!! Can't wait to share it with everyone!
Pitter Patter, let's get at 'er. Love it.
Lol I said like 4 or 5 different things, maybe I'll share as an outtake lol. Ain't nothing to it but to do it!
I'm so glad you did this video. I've been trying to wrap my head around how to make this conversion. I feel much more confident now.
I'm glad to hear it!! It's not too daunting of a task. Although the cinema is by the far the easiest go convert. Brick bank went smoothly too. I'll show that probably as well.
This is great! I’m considering switching to mils and this is a big help!
I'm glad to hear it!!! I switched a few more over and begun adding them to my city. Keep up your great work too! Your city has lots of awesome details. I can't wait to be done my upgrade to mils so I can focus on details.
Great video with you and the little ones 😊😊
Lol thanks Trevor!!! I liked the intro lol, raw uncut, well slightly lol. 🤣 he was really getting fed up lol
So Funny!! Maddex having fun in the beginning mimicking Dad when he’s talking!!🤣🤣🤣 He’s a becoming quite a comedian LOL🤣💙
Yes he is!! He is hilarious sometimes. I'm glad I was able to catch that moment on camera.
Terrific update!
Thanks Sarah!! I have some more buildings switched over and finally started integrating the mils plates into my city, mixing with non mils lol. Doesn't look bad, but ideal.
Another great video!!! Those look absolutely amazing!!!! You are really making me think about doing those plates ! Keep it up bud!
Mils is a very nice touch to a city. If it's not big and ur up for the conversion, I'd make the switch over! No wrong way to make a city, just different ways.
Awesome Andrew, love the vid.
Thanks so much brickMnky!!! I converted some more buildings and made some more roads!
Awesome video, love Bevin’s new road designs! Off Topic, but I’d love to see a video on what you do for parts sorting & storage.
Sounds good!! I'll add that in soon! In my first intro video I has a few shots of all my lego being sorted on a table, but it's all put away now, for most part. My lego city room is a disaster right now, I need to organize it again before I show it off.
I almost died when you said pitter patter, lets get at er!! haha
Lol I ended up saying like 4 other lame things after that, kept the first one though lol. I'm saving them for future videos 😆
The dad phrases are definitely gonna be a winner in my book!
Looks so good! 😱
Thanks moonman!! Slowly but surely it's coming. I'm looking forward to working on details in the future. Prob not as detailed as some of your mocs, but some nice touches around the city 👌
Great video as always
Thanks Kellyann!! I appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment!!! I hope you're having a great day!
Great vid as always :)
And thank you, as always, janedoe!!! U are far too kind!! 😊 I hope the future is treating you well.
@@BrickinBrood Don't know about the future, I'm never in it. The future hasn't happened yet, and by the time I get there, it becomes the present 😂😂 I am doing well though, and I thankyou always for your reply and kind words 😊
Amazing work keep it up
Thanks so much!!! Take care!
@@BrickinBrood your welcome / thanks a lot
Wow,good
Who's in charge over there at Brickin' Brood? (Intro). Really like those sewer grate indents. That's the kind of detail that really brings a Lego City to life. A lot of work, but great job Andrew. (and Piper and Maddox - hope I spelled those right)
Lol I thought I was in charge but not according to the intro lol. Thanks!! I am very happy with how the sewers turned out! Maddex, or dex is how we spell it. It's all good.
Nice video👍👍👍 I subscribed
Thanks so much!! I appreciate the view, the comment and subscribing!! Thats terrific!! I look forward to making more videos.
@@BrickinBrood ok, I started a lego city so I am looking at your videos, and they are helping.
What’d the benefit of switching? Seems like you have about the same road space and sidewalks. Only it’s cost you more in parts
There are many benefits to building the roads this way or using mils plates in general. It gives a very strong foundation for building. More details can be added to the ground by building into the floor, rather then just a flat surface. I like the curb effect and the sewer grates I have. Eventually I hope to add subway entrances into the sidewalks, this will give more depth to the illusion of the entrance.

Cool I'll check it out
Curbs are way too thick man, make the roads look super huge and the buildings too small, makes it look unproportional.
I can see that point of view for sure. I plan to add parking spots, bus stops, and potentially some fake subway entrances. I will need that space in some areas around the city.
