My first three days with the Suzuki VStrom 650 XT. Gradually getting used to a completely different bike to my RR! I rode a Vstrom a few years ago and it's remained a firm favourite so I'm excited to have this for a few weeks to really experience it and get to know it.

fantastic video to hit on, have spent 3 days commuting on my 650 VStrom after a 390 Duke (also ride a 900LC) and everything you said resonated so much! Tall, heavy getting used to it but that V-twin is sweet as, loving it!

Love my 07' V-Strom, just enough off everything to have a great ride, and reliable as a Rolex, will most likely trade it for a new one in 2 years time

Great vid Liz, please do more of them. You do great work!

  • @fuglbird

Your first trips were so exciting. I enjoyed watching them. They made me remember my first trip with my girlfriend to France in 1978 on my Suzuki GT550. Now it just seems to be a job to you. Please take a deep breath and do what YOU like. I'm sure that we'll like it too ♥

Very good machine but those mirrors are the same as my Suzuki 750 purchased new in 1984. They must have made a lot of them !

The VStorms are great bikes, don’t feel like they get spoken about enough when riders are looking for a mid-weight bike.

I really do appreciate when you describe the smells since we can only see and hear what's going on. Nice riding!

    Great bike !

Great vid, love the country side, am from South Dakota, USA myself, and I would love to ride the roads over where you live. Purchased my 2015 V-strom dl650a just about 1 month ago, and with the weather the way it's been, haven't been on it very much. Although, as much as I have ridden it, so far, I love mine.

Thanks for a very amusing one! You did not give any specifications. Well, I presume that many others have already done that. You react to every little thing that happens along the way. You are quite critical of yourself and others on the road and you give a running commentary of every thought. This is quite different from all other bike reviews and is quite refreshing, actually. This is revealing of the differences between female and male reviewers. Females feel the emotion of the moment. Men are more matter-of-fact and would never call the bike 'Bluey'!

I think you are really enjoying Bluey the Suzuki V Strom, so different to the S1000RR. Looking forward to your next vlog on the bike

Love the current DL650. I plan to finally buy one after many years of wanting one but always buying other bikes. Btw, we love our fellow riders, but they can be a bit nosey and opinionated. Not your fault they gave you the Spanish Inquisition on a bike you don’t own. Tell them you need to make your walk around and you’ll be happy to chat afterwards.

I found that winding down the preload set the bike down to a more manageable level
