The dedication to recreating the "NorthernMaple Starbound Server" experience is incredible. Feels just like me, Kage, and Ginger are building the Roach Hotel, while each of us struggles with extreme brain damage. You are experiencing those first few days you missed on the server, through the magic of advanced AI.
Are they still updating or is this game abandoned? Apparently they were forced to release it as a full game by tinybuild which could mean they'll keep working on it like its a beta??? Any room for realistic hope here?
There have been tiny updates to the game since release and is still being worked on. The game is still in a sad state, with only 2 planets to explore and little content.
people did in starbound , then turnedout game was being made by unpaid child labour and unpaid interns with "promise of employment once they contribute enough" but noone ever did and main dev kept all the money , it explains why starbound is 100 mechanics and nothing is conected
I was in their discord as they were developing, doing playtests and enjoying the unfinished product as it was tested, but I always figured it was just in an alpha stage. Hell, I even got a key for the game, so I could play it the day it launched. When they had a release date however, all of my optimism flushed down the toilet. I didn't play it right away, since day one is the worst time to play ANY game, but I ended up putting it off a bit too much. I happened upon this video somehow (thanks algorithm), and after watching to the end, I had to double check that you were playing the launch of if this was beta footage. My disappointment is immeasurable. Looks like the only thing noteworthy about this unfinished product is, as it has been since the earliest alpha tests, how the guns feel.
Many people in my discord thought I was showing beta footage or the game was in an early access beta, they were very shocked to find out its version 1.05.
Yeah, I got the game and had to force myself to keep going all the way to space. Then the game bugged and I softlocked and uninstalled. But some tips: 1. Colonists will wait until starving before they eat, and you must be nearby for them to actually look for food. So don't explore I guess. 2. Colonists basically don't defend themselves, and even in armor will die to the snakes, so you should build impassable walls on both sides of your base. Enemies will only break doors, not blocks. 3. Don't ever leave spawn, with the exception of the run to the dungeon. Newly spawned chunks are buggy chunks
@@NorthernMaple_ Basically. Exploration breaks the exploration game. And the raiders can spawn inside your base, but if you make the base roughly the same size as your view, they can't spawn on screen. This also helps with the npc pathfinding. Very broken game
Its a new game called Farworld Pioneers, made by former Starbound and Rimworld staff. They tried to combine both aspects of the games but failed horribly. In its current state I can't recommend it. It has horrible game breaking bugs and has very little content.

I love that its Starbound clones and not Terraria Clones. I approve of this.
@@eldermindtactics9764 Starbound (despite its flaws) was still a very good game that will hold a special place in all our hearts.

Thanks to farworld pioneers anyone can have the same brain hemorrhage I had on the opening day of No Florans allowed.
tiny build kinda forced them to Fuck up the whole release. cool right :3
That is a cool fact, another cool fact is this is marketed as a complete release.
they wanted to do early access and tinybuild didnt let them :3
I thought tiny build was good? Oh well, ya can't have nice things in life
in what reality has tinybuild ever been good
@@patmanf I don't know. They always seemed somewhat good.

@@NorthernMaple_ shiiiiiii
An unfortunate launch but i have faith in it.
I hope so because I could of bought a 12 pack of budweiser for the price of this game, and i could of gotten a lot more enjoyment from those 12 cans

I'm hoping they are telling the truth but there's posts on the official discord and steam forums along the lines "at least we pay our employees"
Now THIS, is a starbound killer.
Can you kill something that was never alive?
@@NorthernMaple_ nope.

again, the devs didn't want to release this as 1.0 but tinybuild forced them to
I'm just playing on peaceful mode until the bugs get worked out.... You can still kill things in that mode
While the raids suck to deal with, there is very little content without them.

So I cant explore in my space exploration game great. Also raiders can spawn inside your base so building walls does nothing.

You know, I always wondered why I drank so much then I remember this is the shit you put up with playing.
I wish I drank for this, this is a rare one where I was stone cold sober.
Wait, so is this Starbound 2?

Starraria
problems?
you're a noob like me?
why not turn on debug mode and creative!
or maybe peacefull?
There isnt enough content to do outside of raiders, and there are far better building games to play if i'm just wanting to do that.
@@NorthernMaple_ oh ok
btw goodluck on geting 1k subs
ps:you can always play with your imaginary friend on multiplayer or whoever is your friend

Well at least the game looks better than starbound
That is a very subjective opinion. I think it looks worst, but the gun effects are really good.
I'm not a fan of the artistic direction of this game.
I'm not either, i strongly debated not to use my character sprite in the thumbnail because it looks so bad, but every sprite does as well.
