    continued.....
    Press and hold "SET" for 1 second to display PO, press "SET" repeatedly to advance to P3, within 4 seconds press ^/v to set the lowest settable
    temperature, the lowest value is -55C, After 4 seconds without button action the display automatically returns.
    For example: set to 2°C, the temperature set point can only be decreased to 2°C minimum. If the desired temperature set point SV must be set lower than this, then the lower limit set value needs to be adjusted first, otherwise the desired value will never reach beyond the P3 value.
    ------------------------------
    P4 Temperature correction / Unit Display versus accurate 3rd party measurement:
    When the device's indicated (PV) display deviates from the actual temperature (e.g measured using calibrated temperature measuring equipment) this function can be used for correction. The corrected temperature = temperature before correction + correction value The valid range is -7.0-7.0.
    Press and hold "SET" for 1 second to display PO, press "SET" repeatedly to advance to P4, within 4 seconds press ^/v to set the correction value. After 4 seconds without button action the display automatically returns.
    For example, If the actual temperature (or that measured by a calibrated device) is 25C; when the temperature is corrected to 0, PV displays 25; if a temperature correction value of 1.5 is set, then PV would display "26.5". Likewise, if a temperature correction value of -1.5 is set, then PV would display "23.5".
    --------------------------------------------------------------------
    P5 Delay Start Time (unit: minutes)
    When the refrigerator or heater is required to operate with a delay, e.g. to prevent a refrigerant compressor motor stalling oroverload, the delay function can be turned on to preserve the life of the unit.
    Press and hold "SET" for 1 second to display PO, press "SET" repeatedly to advance to P5, within 4 seconds press ^/v to set between 0-10 minutes. After 4 seconds without button action the display automatically returns.
    In the cooling mode: the first time the power is turned on, if the current temperature >= the set value, the refrigerator will not start the cooling immediately, and
    it will run after the pre-set P5 delay time.
    In the heating mode: the first time the power is turned on. if the current temperature

    Below I provide a summary of the anomalies I found and what actually occurred AS TESTED.
    Instructions AS TESTED:
    Connect the power supply and equipment to supply power to the controller. At power-up, the display shows the measured temperature PV.

    Press SET. The display temperature will flash, press +- to set the desired temperature SV (press and hold EITHER- to rapidly raise and lower the value.
    After finishing, press SET to confirm the retum (will auto-return after 3 seconds). At this time, the controller automatically performs relay on/off according to the setting.

    The output of the thermostat is a 220v 10A / 12V 20A rated single pole, single throw relay.
    At this time, the display shows the ambient temperature (PV) and the desired temp (SV).
    Indicator light & digital display status description:
    Indicator light: Blinking indicates cooling or heating start delay (Not found to be true on delivered unit. The LAMP is unlit during the delay period rather than flashing, which is unhelpful).
    LED on indicates that the relay contact is closed.
    Digital display: PV displays --- when the measured temperature exceeds that of the manually set high temperature alarm value (P6). When this occurs the relay is also becomes de-energised
    PV displays LL when the sensor is open circuit or unplugged.
    PV display HH When the temperature exceeds the measurement range, the relay will also become de-energised.
    AS TESTED POTENTIAL ISSUE- IF THE BUTTON MARKED WITH THE STANDARD 1/0 (ON/OFF) SYMBOL AND LABELLED "RESET" IS PRESSED FOR 1 SECOND, THEN NOT ONLY DOES THE DISPLAY OCCULT, BUT THE RELAY WILL DE-ENERGISE; EFFECTIVELY TURNING OFF WHATEVER DEVICE IS CONNECTED. THIS IS DIFFERENT OPERATION TO THAT DESCRIBED IN MANY VIDEOS AS "DISPLAY GOES OFF ONLY". THIS MAY NOT BE DESIRABLE. THERE APPEARS TO BE NO WAY TO OCCULT THE DISPLAY ONLY WHILST CONTINUING TO FUNCTION AS A CONTROLLER.

    Parameter functions:
    Press and hold "SET" for 1 second, press "SET" repeatedly to advance through the various parameter functions PO-P8, after 4 seconds without any button action, the
    controller automatically returns from any programme mode P0-P8 to display the current measured temperature (PV) and the desired set temperature value (SV).
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    PO Cooling / Heating mode.
    Press and hold "SET" for 1 second to display PO, within 4 seconds press ^/v to switch between modes [H is heating mode] [C is cooling mode]. After 4 seconds without button action the display automatically returns.

    In the cooling mode: when the temperature measurement value >= the temperature set point, the refrigeration relay is closed and the refrigerator is started; when the
    temperature measurement value = the set value, the relay is closed, the refrigerator starts; when the temperature measurement value

    I have purchased and tested one of these devices (110-220v with 220v/10A 12v/20A relay).
    I have found a number of anomalies with this device compared to this video and several other W3230 instruction sets and videos. As this device posesses a generic micro-controller, there may be any number of differing programs or coding applied and hence a range of differing methods for user operation and setting ranges.
    I have prepared a full instruction set as tested, highlighting all of the anomalies, warnings and Cautions. However it is too large to accomodate in this comment section.

    Hello. May I ask what is the power consumption of the controller ? Thanks you!

    • @robojax
      @robojax  2 года назад

      for AC is it so minimal that would be negligible. for DC however you can calculate 10mA for each segment of a digit for example digit 8 has 7 segments(and digit 3 has 5 segments) so 7x10mA=70mA only for one digit. Then the relay consumes about 50mA and 10mA for the board. Do the math.

    • @janprochazka6405
      @janprochazka6405 2 года назад

      @@robojax Thank you! The math goes quite high. The digit consumes 10mA but not at 12V. Do you say that only linear regulators are inside? At 12V it can easily be 5W or more. Really so high?

    • @robojax
      @robojax  2 года назад

      I believe internal regulator is 5V so all the value I gave are at 5V. I wish I had tested the consumption of the module. it never occurred to me because of AC I neglected the power consumption.
