Just take Maurice Green for example. He was fast and times were 9.85 etc. When Bolt ran his 9.58 there was like 2 others running faster than green times. Tyson Gay and Blake I think. Cannot remember. So he was so fast he did not have any competitors. But his competitors were also not slow at all. Asafa Powell was also there. Justin Gatlin etc. All very fast.

Admittedly, the 2012 Olympic final was highly anticipated because Blake had beaten Bolt in both the 100 & 200m @ the Jamaican trials and it looked like he could have been the end for Bolt………

Bolt's last championship was ill advised and he knew it. He did not run a race for himself but for sponsorship and fan pressure. In fact, he did not even see himself there on that day a year before. He saw himself out of the game (retired). He simply went unprepared and got it over with. He ran times that baby Bolt would have dismissed. It was his biggest mistake...which seemed to fulfil the words of an African psychic.

For sprinters an eight year ban is a career ender. Who the heck comes back from that?? I really don't think USATF, IOC, or IAAF expected Gatlin to return. Very, very few would. But they didn't know the heart of the man. Having counseled former felons I can tell you less than 2% would have the guts or nuts to do what he did and turn around and make a powerful comeback like he did. Most don't want to face the critics nor do the grinding work to get all the way back. To track fans he's no hero, but as a purely human story which supercedes T&F he's a remarkable case of perseverance. For that alone I admire him.

      That we know of.
I unequivocally think of Bolt as the fastest man ever, but I think it's too wishful thinking to believe he's totally clean. No, he's never been caught on a drug test, but neither was Marion Jones; they got her with a paper trail. Essentially every top 30 time ever run in the 100 m is by either Bolt or a guy who had a PED testing issue of one kind or another. It's just not a clean sport, like the Tour de France.

Behind the scenes, every sprinter, swimmer, biker etc says everyone else is juicing... except for them.
In my opinion, the ones that don't get caught are simply smarter at navigating and avoiding the systems detection mechanisms and knowing when to get out. No different than a drug dealer who never got caught. He was still a drug dealer. Maybe not in the eyes of the law but in the minds of those in his circle, he is.
I dont believe you can have the entire field of sprinters all admitting that everyone else is juicing except them but the only one who is not juicing, somehow wins every race. That would imply juicing don't work. The math doesn't add up.
This is why juicing should be legal. Let'em juice! Otherwise, all we have is a system of lies and corruption and insider favoritism. If they have a heart attack, that's their choice in a free society. They should have the right to do whatever they want to their own body. Women right groups say the same thing, the government shouldn't tell them what they can and can't do with their own body. They're doing what they want anyway regardless of the regulations. I say let'em. And use body regulations elsewhere where it can be more useful.

@@devertonpasley4942 Did you see the words (in my opinion)? Your reply has nothing in it. You didn't even have enough sense to comment on the Video. If someone read your reply alone, they wouldn't even know what the hell your were talking about. Which means your reply is less than nonsense. Yours has "No" sense.

Well to be honest bolt had no rivalry with anyone, the fact is with all respect to every runner, you guys couldn't keep up with bolt, never had the same love and energy for the sport and that was what made all you guys frustrated.Bolt was and still is in a class of his own. All the other athletes that competed with him was just to make up numbers. When you guys can win a triple triple that is recognized by the Olympic governing body, then you can use the term rival or his equal. You guys have a lot of work to do. Hope to see some improvement in the next 50 years. #Bolthasnorival

Thats cause while he was banned he wasnt tested.therefore he could drug himself during the ban and allow him to lift more, train longer, recover faster and this helped him stay fast and train harder
