ILS and FMC Tutorial with the TBM 930 in Flight Simulator 2020

A walkthrough of basic ILS usage, and flight management computer operation in the TBM 930 in Flight Simulator 2020. We fly a basic pattern, programme a route, and then use ILS to land.

Great lesson, I could never find where to dial up the nav setting on this plane. When I come in, the plane is always skewed and off a few degrees from the LOC heading on the ILS? Seen this with other planes as well. Ideas? Thanks again

What key are you pressing to switch between Little NavMap and Flight Sim.

the ils sometimes will not work and as you approach, the plane does not descend.

Ive been using this Aircraft to learn IFR, but its proving very difficult. There seem to be so many bugs, I dont know if Im doing something wrong, or it is down to a bug.
Ive tried planning a route in LNM, loading it through the world map, but that doesnt go to plan either, and end up landing manually as the instruments and FP dont work.

I haven't had any problems like that - I just create the plan in little Nav Map, import it into Flight Simulator when setting up the route, and it appears in the GPS system of whichever aircraft.

@@jonbeckett Its probably just me then. I setup a departure procedure, approach and ILS landing, then calculate route all with LNM, but when loaded in the sim, it looks totally different, it puts me on a runway to start rather than the ramp. The big problems seem to happen when getting towards the landing procedures. Maybe if you get chance you could do a step by step video....

@@AndyBDrone You may find that Flight Sim takes no notice of the exact starting location - it depends what the PLN file format supports. You may have to adjust the plan once loaded into Flight Sim 2020.

I'll see what I can do in the future. Worth pointing out that unlike a lot of contributors to RUclips, this isn't my day job, and I don't pretend it is. Some of the videos have mistakes in them, some have terrible sound, and some have glitches in the video :)
