Music proves its universality in the way it makes us feel. I am Spanish and Flamenco makes me want to cry of passion, Irish music makes my heart dance till my feet can follow, Nordic and North European music makes me feel brave and powerful, African musics make my heart beat to their rythms, Desi music takes me to a world of emotions, East Asian music make me feel impossibly graceful and elegant... There is no music that makes us indifferent. Music is the language of the souls, way more than what any literature can be, and because of it, it can share emotions that could not be shared in any other way. Music is the cleansing of the souls, and the easiest way to tie everyone together emotionally. It is an experience that can be felt alone or as part of something much humanely bigger. Music does not discriminate, and makes us all equals when it joins us in one same feeling at one same time. Music is magic

Yes! Mairead Nesbitt has been playing since she was 6 years old. She played in Michael Flatleys "Lord of the Dance" and "Feet of Flames" Irish dancing productions in the '90's. Currently, she is the last member of the original Celtic Woman that began in 2005. A lot of the fun of their performances is watching her play and dance around the stage.
I'd tried to search for the video, but in one interview she talks about using a different bow hold when she is playing traditional style than when she is playing classical style.

I saw them last night at the start of their “Postcards” tour. Many new players but perhaps one of the best shows I have ever seen. I’ve seen hundreds of bands and every genre. This group was wonderful. Truly.
Just saw them this past Tuesday at the Altria in Richmond. Different lineup, but loved seeing Chloe, and the whole show was fabulous. So much energy, just pure joy on the stage.
Ray Fean was one hell of a badass drummer!! he always interacted and played allong with them in the show especially Mairead!! the drummer they have now is not nearly as energetic and interactive with the girls...
I've ben a Celtic Woman fan for a long time - perhaps because of my English, Irish, Scottish and Welsh family history. Celtic Woman always tugs at my heartstrings.
The best thing about this group is that it showcases and celebrates the unique individuality of their artists. Every new member brings something refreshing to the band, which is pretty awesome. Having said that, though, this has been my favourite ensemble so far.
I really love the fact that this video shows the talent of everyone and how Ray entertains the audience haha This new arrangement of Nil Se'n La is awesome especially the acapella part !
I honestly never thought that the ladies(and Gentlemen) of Celtic Woman could top the previous specials but with this latest special they indeed have-thank you so much(and good to see you again,Chloe)!!

I am from Morocco and love the Irish music and dance as well, but when I see my 6 years old boy trying to repeat the chorus of this song, it warms my heart. got it visit Ireland once this pandemic is over inchallah.
I have watched their live performances for 7 years now (from television and internet) and I love how they play "the old classics" yet there is always something new. Yes, new singers but the songs change, the act playes, the players are the same but they know these through and trough and I love how they just have fun it. Not only Ray and Mairead, I always look the old ones in the background too.
Why is everyone talking about live singing? Who cares? I don't... I enjoy this performance... Live or not, these are the most awesome girls doing the most awesome perfomance JUST ENJOY, people!
because effort. the reason i went to look for the live was because i wanted to know if they can manage that level of harmonics without a machine. some people can but the level of harmonics between them is...well...perfect. if it was done without the aid of a machine it would be a sign of incredible talent. the synchronization of the harmonics of the different singers and the band is amazing if unaided, but if a machine is involved it requires a much lower amount of talent, and effort. one of the most important things in art is the effort involved in its creation, it's why the original painting of the mona lisa is more valuable than a digital reproduction. was another painting i had seen some time ago but can't seem to find, renaissance i believe a highly detailed painting of a courtyard and in one of the windows is a guy painting another painting. THAT takes skill, but a photograph of the same scene would not require much skill.
@@tuseroni6085 Here's a thought, why don't YOU do that choreo and sing it live yourself, ya know, be the change you want and all that shit. Renaissance paintings and stage performances are two very different things and comparing them is like comparing fruits and vegetables. Yea, they're plants (in this case, forms of art), but the flavors are vastly different. You're comparing orignals to mock pieces, something that has no comparison here on a performance piece. Now, this stage as a WHOLE is an art piece and you're about to be like "there's no effort" because you feel they "lip synched". LOOK AT THE WHOLE PERFORMANCE and try to fucking tell me there's a lack of effort again. NEWS FLASH: EVEN BROADWAY STARS LIPSYNCH! *gasp* shocker, i know. Oh and BTW, since you obviously don't know, professionally, for a performance to be considered "live", only 70% of vocals need to actually be live, which, it would seem, was done in this performance. But, right, "effort". 🤔🤔🤔 you should put "effort" into some schooling, or working and make something of yourself instead of bitching about people who already have.
I am half Irish and this song has been an absolute classic with Celtic Woman. I love the fiddle in this song. And my most favorite part of the whole song is the small gradual swell with the gorgeous harmonies at 4:50-5:10. Beautiful.
All these women are beautiful, but...If they were as beautiful as the music they make together, they would be nothing less than magical Elves! Their voices and the music moves my very soul!
At 2:00 to 3:50 ish,it’s probably the best feeling ever cause there’s just happy upbeat music, smiles and dancing and laughing for the solid 2 ish minutes, definitely something I want to do
I could listen to Celtic Woman all day, all year or for a lifetime I will never get tired of them. Keep up the good work ladies as well as your staff. Applause from Minnesota.
I like this arrangement, especially Ray's solo, but I really love the hug-me dresses in the original "Songs From the Heart" version. Thank whatever gods there be for digital recording.
Oops, I hadn't yet seen the "Teir Abhaile Riu" from this concert, where they wore the original Nil Sen La dresses. This is the only CW concert that has two ceili songs.
The vocal skills of these ladies is thing to behold. I have seen them in person twice, once in Baton Rouge, La. and in Little Rock, Arkansas and in person they are fantastic.
With the changes to the Celtic Woman lineup, I wanted to see who was performing this one. I know for sure Susan McFadden, Lisa Lambe, Mairéad Nesbitt, and I think the woman in the darker blue dress is Chloé?
+Don Douthit at 5:10, left to right it's Mairead, Chloe Agnew, Lisa Lambe, and I'm assuming the last one is Susan McFadden because that's the one whose name I don't know.
When the violin started to play it reminded me King Arthur's soundtrack. I love the movie because of it. ❤ This song is so good and the performance only makes it even more perfect.
I do love the ladies who are performing now, especially Lisa Lambe(love her!) and Susan, but I DO miss the originals! This is one of my favorite songs.....heck, they are ALL my fav songs! It's also so cool to see the grown up Chloe! She is so beautiful and has finally come out her shyness! And Mariead is amazing as always!
I absolutely love the thing Irish..and maybe Scottish people do in songs....their shrieking and shouting and their chirping sounds! My favorite of the new ones is the sassy Red-Head with a River Song approved Tangle. I don't know who she is...or how long she's been/has been, with the group but she is by far my favorite~ Her role in Teir Abhaile Riu was hilarious!
Mega piękna muzyka , skrzypaczka już udowodniła swojego kunsztu we współpracy z Flatleyem(Lord of Dance) ,cudo !!! Wspaniałe wrażenia oglądając piękny taniec i słuchając cudowną muzykę
So, I'm confused here. I thought Chloe left Celtic Woman middle of last year but she's on this DVD. Don't get me wrong, I HOPE she comes back soon but I was curious if she just came back to do the DVD?
Stephanie Eisenstaedt This was a recording of the South Bend, Indiana performance in last year's (2013) "Emerald Isle" tour. Chloe didn't leave Celtic Woman until after the tour ended, so she is in this performance. She wasn't in the Christmas concert and is not touring with Celtic Woman right now. There is no indication that she will be back in the lineup anytime soon, although I suppose that could change.
+Ivene nesbitt I'm wondering what that thing between Ray and Mairead was. sounds like a musical duel that led into Nil Sen la. That swat to the head of one of the guys in the osono chorus by Lisa Lambe was interesting.
+drmayeda1 From a performance standpoint it was carefully planned for comedy and to give the girls a chance to change dresses maybe (I don't know the song order, so couldn't say for sure) but beautifully done and great to watch
meirasanya You are exactly right, especially since this was the only song sung wearing these dresses. Most of the time the "girls" change while Mairead plays solo violin pieces...
I’ve been listening to these lady’s for a little over a week and their voices plus the fiddle makes me feel absolutely great!!They all are extraordinary talented!!
I love being a part of such a colorful and happy people that is the Irish, Gaelic is such a beautiful yet primal language and our music is as you see here the lifeblood of the Irish people and it's easy to see that.
From Google: "The term “Gaelic”, as a language, applies only to the language of Scotland. If you're not in Ireland, it is permissible to refer to the language as Irish Gaelic to differentiate it from Scottish Gaelic, but when you're in the Emerald Isle, simply refer to the language as either Irish or its native name, Gaeilge." Tl;dr, OP is a dirty liar that is either not Irish or very uneducated
PBS got a lot of exposure for them here in the US. I took my wife to see them in Louisville 6-7 years ago; they were packing houses back then. We actually got to meet Chloe backstage in Ashland, KY a couple of weeks ago.
Hey, J3N93W, I was there ,too. I was the guy in the blue coat who had meet Chloe in Cincinnati in Dec. Isn't she one of the sweetest people you would ever want to meet? A beautiful and talented Irish lassie, indeed.
She's wonderful, possibly one of the most charming celebrities I've ever met. I had gotten my wife tickets to see her at this Ashland show, and her dad died unexpectedly 2 days before the show. So meeting Chloe was a definite high point in an otherwise terrible week. It's nice that some performers are still accessible to their fans, I know we won't soon forget it.
For me it's a tossup between her and Lisa Lambe. I met Lisa (and her hubby Simon Morgan) in Nashville, TN in Aug. 2015 at a place called The Sutler Saloon. She was promoting her fist solo album since leaving the group the year before. Believe me, she is also sweet and loving and loves to hug people.

Inshallah, I hope you. Irish girl here and my best friend is from Morocco. You are most welcome
i just love this duel between these 2!! Ray and Mairead always connected and teased eachother back and forth in their shows its so fun watching them!!
I love Ray's solo also when Mairead shows up it's amazing how well the music goes together
proud of my irish heritage!!!!!! beautiful
As am I!
michelle kearsey me too.
Me too
yes yo should be. greeting from Bali island
I'm not a Mick but I like the music
3:56 Just to make every Mairead N. fan (including me) sad/happy, she is so adorable in this scene
I've seen this video maybe 20th times or more and never seen that, this is so funny and cute thank youu !!
You are totally right, even if they were synching doesn't matter ,it is their voices that they are synching.
Yes, you're completely right. I wished that more people thought like that ;)
I like live version with video:)
because effort.
the reason i went to look for the live was because i wanted to know if they can manage that level of harmonics without a machine. some people can but the level of harmonics between them is...well...perfect. if it was done without the aid of a machine it would be a sign of incredible talent. the synchronization of the harmonics of the different singers and the band is amazing if unaided, but if a machine is involved it requires a much lower amount of talent, and effort.
one of the most important things in art is the effort involved in its creation, it's why the original painting of the mona lisa is more valuable than a digital reproduction.
was another painting i had seen some time ago but can't seem to find, renaissance i believe a highly detailed painting of a courtyard and in one of the windows is a guy painting another painting.
I love mairead she’s so funny I love when she slap the main drummer even though she was playing along as well ❤😂❤
My God the dude has rythm! :D
I just Love him !
Rhythm and looks. ;)
He’s pretty fly for a white guy! Lol
That’s the Irish for ya
I am half Irish and this song has been an absolute classic with Celtic Woman. I love the fiddle in this song. And my most favorite part of the whole song is the small gradual swell with the gorgeous harmonies at 4:50-5:10. Beautiful.
I just love how the choir gets scolded. It's too cute!
Sarah Danielle when the girls came out I was like "oh no they're busted"😮
I have never seen anything thats so listenable and watchable than Celtic Women
Its magical and so full of Irish soul.
I love this violinist so much, she literally inspired me to start playing again she’s honestly amazing 😍
nothing refreshes my spirit like these women and their music and energy.
All these women are beautiful, but...If they were as beautiful as the music they make together, they would be nothing less than magical Elves! Their voices and the music moves my very soul!
Mairead’s talent and skill is phenomenal and she’s one of the most beautiful people I’ve ever seen
Love from India, this is now on my bucket list. Please visit San Fransisco.
You aren't alone ...
At 2:00 to 3:50 ish,it’s probably the best feeling ever cause there’s just happy upbeat music, smiles and dancing and laughing for the solid 2 ish minutes, definitely something I want to do
Oh and clapping haha
Mairead Nesbitt has my heart from the first time I laid eyes on her ♥️💯. Her violin is as beautiful as her.
My God this concert must have been a blast to see in person
Ray Fean. God, that drummer is amazing!
Foot tapped the whole way through this! Much love from England....I enjoyed every second!
My favorite thing ever is the guy at 6:10 who's really getting into it. I love it ❤
What guy?
Wait now i see the guy from some reason i click it makes me go to 6:15 but it wouldnt matter any way lads its actually 6:08
I didn't think that anything could ever come close to Generation 1 and Generation 2 Celtic Woman but this just did. Amazing, simply amazing!
I'm Scottish and I love these songs!
Alix Jamieson they sing Scottish songs as well.
I love how they are having a dance party before it starts. great song!
I’v seen them at MORRIS PERFORMING ARTS CENTER UNBELIEVABLE CONCERT I HAVE EVER SEEN SIMPLY UNREAL JUST DOES’NT STOP I WILL REMEMBER IT FOREVER
Juste magnifique, impressionnant, j'en ai des frissons. J'adore
Beautiful. All the best from Your greatest fan from Poland.
the first four minutes were heaven for me. the rest, well, is there such a thing as upgraded heaven?
The music is something else and performance second to none.
There’s a reason Ireland is the birthplace of fairy tales. It’s music trasports you to another world of magic & fantasy❤️❤️❤️
Chloe agnew on far right
Wow!
I've been missing something as amazing and breathtaking as this my whole life.
I am pleased I've found such good music!
When the violin started to play it reminded me King Arthur's soundtrack. I love the movie because of it. ❤ This song is so good and the performance only makes it even more perfect.
Ray gets things started. Lisa, Chloe and Susan are fantastic. Mairead playing and dancing in heels is quite amazing. What talent. May God them all.
Oh Lord.. they're all beutiful, but the violinist is beyond beutiful... she's an angel and more
I absolutely love the thing Irish..and maybe Scottish people do in songs....their shrieking and shouting and their chirping sounds! My favorite of the new ones is the sassy Red-Head with a River Song approved Tangle. I don't know who she is...or how long she's been/has been, with the group but she is by far my favorite~ Her role in Teir Abhaile Riu was hilarious!
Mairead is unreal. We love Celtic women. They are all fantastic as they share Irish culture throughout the world .
yes she has her fingers on the .strings. haven't you ever seen a fiddle or violin being played? I have
@ 0:19 This guy is one of my absolute favorite drummers.
Mega piękna muzyka , skrzypaczka już udowodniła swojego kunsztu we współpracy z Flatleyem(Lord of Dance) ,cudo !!! Wspaniałe wrażenia oglądając piękny taniec i słuchając cudowną muzykę
Go Ray! I love the part where he looks up at the drum stick and starts "playing" the drums in the air! So cute!
Thank you!
God, Ray Fean is such a rock star.
+Ivene nesbitt I'm wondering what that thing between Ray and Mairead was. sounds like a musical duel that led into Nil Sen la. That swat to the head of one of the guys in the osono chorus by Lisa Lambe was interesting.
+Ivene nesbitt Close, when he was 12 he was in a "rockabilly" band in Ireland...
+drmayeda1 From a performance standpoint it was carefully planned for comedy and to give the girls a chance to change dresses maybe (I don't know the song order, so couldn't say for sure) but beautifully done and great to watch
meirasanya
You are exactly right, especially since this was the only song sung wearing these dresses. Most of the time the "girls" change while Mairead plays solo violin pieces...
I just love that these girls aren't embarrassed to just let loose and have fun it gives the song so much more vibrance and life
It’s it me or is the violinist just amazing! Like this whole thing tells a story with words and her words are the strings. If that makes any sense
Are u really irish?
Hmm. You said Gaelic. That gives you away
From Google:
"The term “Gaelic”, as a language, applies only to the language of Scotland. If you're not in Ireland, it is permissible to refer to the language as Irish Gaelic to differentiate it from Scottish Gaelic, but when you're in the Emerald Isle, simply refer to the language as either Irish or its native name, Gaeilge."
Tl;dr, OP is a dirty liar that is either not Irish or very uneducated
La violoniste est incroyable. J adore. C'est de la dynamique.
I went to this concert and had so much fun. They are coming to Fort Wayne in June and I will be going
I want to go to one of their concerts!! 😩😩😩
Ive been to one of theirs few years ago. Grandparents took me and my sister. Her and I didn't know who they were but I liked them
I’ve been three times. Songs from the Heart, Voices of Angels, Ancient Land.
They look like they're having so much fun! I love it so much! You guys are absolutely fantastic! Bravo!
I had no intention of watching this after enjoying the first 2 minutes...
...and, yet, here I am at the end of the 7:55. Absolutely brilliant.
İ live in Turkey but i love celtic (scottish) songs and this song.
This is not Scottish song it Irish song
When I’m grounding I definitely have them playing☺️ Celtic woman
Really wish Mairead and Ray recorded the beginning. Its so addicting
Hey I live in Indiana. Didn't know anyone in this state liked performances like this
They're Irish and were touring in USA. Trust me, only Ireland could have a group like this.
Love this so much - just wish i understood what they where singing
Find comment by Gino Tentori. He typed the entire song out in English
I Went Into An Ale House Last Night
And I Asked For Credit From The Ale Woman
She Said "Not A Drop Will You Get
Hit The Road And Go Home"
I Came By A House Last Night
And Told The Woman "I Am Staying"
I Said To Her "The Moon Is Bright
And My Fiddles Tuned For Playing"
Tell Me That The Night Is Long
Tell Me That The Moon Is Glowing
Fill My Glass I'll Sing A Song
And Will Start The Music Flowing
Never Mind The Rising Light
There's No Sign Of Day Or Dawning
In My Heart It's Still The Night
And We'll Stay Until The Morning
It Is Not Day No Love
It Is Not Day And It Won't Be Till Morning
It's Not Day And It Won't Be Yet
The Highlight Is In The Moon
It's Not Day Nor Yet A While
I Can See The Starlight Shining
It's Not Day And It Won't Be Yet
The Highlight Is In The Moon
Fill The Glasses One More Time
And Never Heed The Empty Bottle
Turn The Water Into Wine
And Turn The Party Up Full Throttle
Don't Go Out Into The Cold
Where The Wind And Rain Are Blowing
For The Fire Is Flaming Gold
And In Here The Musics Flowing
It Is Not Day No Love
It Is Not Day And It Won't Be Till Morning
It's Not Day And It Won't Be Yet
The Highlight Is In The Moon
Tell Me That The Night Is Long
Tell Me That The Moon Is Gleaming
Fill My Glass I'll Sing A Song
And Will Keep The Music Streaming
Until All The Songs Are Sung
It Is Not Day No Love
It Is Not Day And It Won't Be Till Morning
It's Not Day And It Won't Be Yet
The Highlight Is In The Moon
It Is Not Day No Love
It Is Not Day And It Won't Be Till Morning
It's Not Day And It Won't Be Yet
The Highlight Is In The Moon
It Is Not Day No Love

The Highlight Is In The Moon
It Is Not Day No Love
It Is Not Day And It Won't Be Till Morning
It's Not Day And It Won't Be Yet

I've watched this at least 15 times....there are soulful witches in Earth and I've witnessed the beauty
I am a new fan!!!! thank you for letting me connect with my Irish heritage; please, I hope you come out with more videos and songs. YOU have at least one fan here in CANADA!!!!!
