I’ve went thru the same thing. They wanted me to pay higher deposit that they thought would’ve made me decline the rental. When I agreed, they wanted me to use my insurance and their insurance. I agreed. Then they attempted to give me a smaller car that my luggage wouldn’t fit in and not the SUV that I reserved. When I asked about the SUV outside I was told it was scheduled for maintenance. The maintenance guy heard the exchange and said that the maintenance was done the day before. He was drowned out with Corp lies. I left, went to enterprise 5 miles away and they booked me the SUV but they had to get it from a nearby location. Guess what location they got the SUV from?

An employee of Walmart recently got fired. Here is the story. I walked into Walmart to shop for jeans for a DIY project. This worker starts following me and i can notice her but i choose to ignore and keep on shopping. When i was done, i walked to the counter and started paying. Then something surprising happened, she stood in front of the the till and watched me (hawk eyes) as i swiped my card and got my stuff bagged. I already knew the situation but again i remained calm. I got home then got back to Walmart cause i got a larger size jeans, and she was on the phone at the till. She was speaking to management as i would later learn. A co-worker told me she got fired because management had seen the entire incident on camera and questioned her actions. I'm a black male and the employee was Indian. Indian, the same people who have experienced similar situations. I think that once anybody feels they are not be targeted by society, they start targeting others. Funny situation.

@@MisterMikeTexas I've worked with Enterprise and I can tell you the problem is with corporate and regional managers. They promise so much to customers and let the people on the ground suffer the consequences. What do I mean!? The reservation system is typically independent from the branch actual count. Only the regional manager or higher can monitor the reservation system and cut off if there's no availability. And this is where the problem starts. A customer goes online makes a reservation expecting to have the vehicle on site at the branch when they get there only to find out the vehicle is not even available and they have to be called back or wait while the branch manager in training starts calling around to find any branch that has the vehicle available. And it's worse on the weekends since the people monitoring the booking system are off for the weekend and most branches are either closed. Also most people who rent tend to bring back vehicles after hours and since they are already on a rental it's not courteous to call them and demand the vehicle back when due because most customers also tend to extend their contracts. So the vehicle you might have expected today might not be available for another 2 days.
A lot of burden is put on the managers in training and from the video you can tell how frustrating it can be. She mentioned she had been busy running up and down which I can attest happens everyday at a busy location. Now for her being racist well it could be but we need more collected evidence to validate that but from what I could tell from the video this is was a person who had reached the edge and not necessarily by the black customers but collectively as things were not going her way for a smooth operation.
I quit Enterprise for this sole reason. They are more focused on profits but not on efficiency or customer experience nor employee welfare because this is mental fatigue if you have to deal with customers and have to lie to them everyday.

I worked at enterprise for years and as a black woman it was one of the most demoralizing jobs I’ve ever had. There’s the frat boy culture. Being told by a manager to use my looks to sell coverage. Being encouraged by leadership to sneakily selling coverage that customers don’t need. being screamed at for hours by customers over things you can’t control. Have managers make me deny certain customers for looking “sketchy”….sketchy usually meaning POC, or unkempt.
They hire in colleges because the kids are too young to know that they’re being overworked for very little money and they’re going to have to throw their morals out the door.
I hated the person i was becoming in that job, left, and never went back. Im SO MUCH happier now.

He waited three+one hours and she expected him to wait more hours behind new customers? I partially blame enterprise. These rental companies sold a bunch of their cars last year and don't have anything to rent. Their margins are tight and they always have one or at most three workers managing each branch. They will settle esp if he recorded enough. They probably already fired her.

This sounds routine for enterprise rent a car. Years ago I reserved an suv for my family to travel out of town for a family member funeral. When we got to the office to pick up the suv we were denied the suv "cause Hispanic people steal them and take them to Mexico". I was furious at the accusation and the idiot behind the counter. I immediately called enterprise headquarters and informed them of the situation. They did apologize for the incident and arranged for a smaller suv. We accepted the smaller suv as we had to get to the funeral. I have not and never will rent another vehicle from them. Let your money speak for you, boycott the facilities that condone this type of behavior.

If the customer wants the BMW and is willing to pay for it then who are you to say he can't have it?
