The daily dosis of Pink Floyd. Its medicine! With these artwork even more. My brain sighs when it hears this famous legendary tunes! Its anyway some of the most interesting compositions they made. Next to Atom Heat Mother surely their landmark of progressive rock music! And here in that form i admit,its my favourite tunes! What a good recording! Wish they had made more concerts with these songs! But we have this one. And its really incredible! Thanks for it!😎🫂😂

I have seen them 4 times. Evem striight Floyd makes me confortly numb. Great blues! Is that Sid on getar? Pink Floyd will ALWAYS be my favorite band !
@@LesTownsend-wu8vqSorry for your loss. Syd unfortunately was already out of the band when this was made. He barely contributed to their 2nd album. Followed by a couple solo albums, brief stint with a band called "Stars" and became a recluse. Deliberate? Who knows for sure except the man himself. Hope he found peace, painting and living out of the public eye.

Am 51 and at one point had approximately 30+ Floyd Albums, and have never, ever heard these great tunes. Thanks for sharing this and other items I just found on your channel.. Great stuff, man..😊 Tune at 18minutes is fantastic..big time..😮
It's all the music they recorded for the film "Zabriskie Point" which was rejected. The director only wanted "Careful With That Axe Eugene" for the house explosion scene.
Exactly...there are different versions of the soundtrack. One,the original contains other musicians too,and only 6 songs are from PF. Then the remastered tapes that are containing all of the songs they were composing! It's marvellous! It's 2 hours of music,my favourite. It's called " A total Zabriskie Point of View!
And OMA YAD ,a bootleg from the late seventies...it has only 5 Tracks,4 of them are full songs ,the other is more like a funny session. 370 Roman Yards is also a bootleg. The best of all the booties! The quality of the recording is incredible! A must have for fans of early Pink Floyd!🎉❤️🤔😊😂
Someone gave me the Omayad bootleg in the seventies, copied on a cassette with poor sound. I was fascinated by these songs, they have a certain mood, a special atmosphere, which goes like a thread through the Zabriskie sessions. It was only much later that I discovered the complete sessions here on RUclips, this one and "A total Zabriskie Point Of View" are of superior quality. If you are looking a little closer, you might find even more alternate versions and takes number so and so.

It's about another dangerous life...the one in the the USA!
It's a soundtrack to the youth & student movement against police brutality & the bad treatment the government under Nixon was giving to the young people. Two lovers are meeting in the desert after a demonstration in their University...it shows the hippie way of life. Music, philosophy & sex. Drugs & mystic encounters. And the young dude is stealing an airplane just for joking and impress his girlfriend...then the things get weird. Will not spoil more! It's a classic rock movie with a message! Greatful Dead are playing a live set,and Pink Floyd were making a PERFECT soundtrack to the Italian directors movie, really. Worth to look & listen! 😉👍

Hello to all the Floyd fans! I need your help with a TITLE of I believe to be a late 60s song. It was suggested that this was NOT a Floyd song but a COPY CAT from a band lesser known than them. This song had an upbeat renissance-like organ melody with a psychedelic guitar bit and one lyric,"captured in time now that movements are all mine?" If anyone has any INKLING of this song's title,please share it with me. Many thanks!😂
Snippets of the CHORD STRUCTURE to the OUTRO of the song appears at a little after 8 minutes of the PINK FLOYD odds and all-sorts ,1968-1977 video. I got a positive hit on the entire song''s title which was"GIVE BIRTH TO A SMILE" Iwill check it out. If anyone saw the video and have any other title ideas,please suggest them! Again,thanks!🙂
It’s the music for Antonioni’s film Zabriskie Point. But in the film only three the mes were used.

Used to have on vinyl. Unfortunately sold years ago during hard times. Young and foolish but the tunes still resonate. Great hidden gems that most casual fans have no clue about. Rip Syd and Rick. You have both enriched the lives of millions, literally. Obscure Floyd songs are actually better than 90% of today's autotuned, overproduced plastic music. Thank you boys.

It's mostly unused music for the film Zabriskie Point, only 3 tracks were eventually used in the film and released on the official 1970 sound track album. The rest have been released in later years

I'll answer my own question. It's ee-no-nee. Sad tale, but right up PF's street. Oenone and Paris had a son, Corythus, but Paris deserted her for Helen. Bitterly jealous, Oenone refused to aid the wounded Paris during the Trojan War, even though she was the only one who could cure him. She at last relented but arrived at Troy too late to save him. Overcome with grief, she committed suicide.
