Interesting album. Some notes... Am a king bee was recorded in 1965. Interstellar overdrive was recorded on January 11th 1967, the day after they recorded Nick's boogie. You find them in Peter Whitehead movie called Tonite let's all make love in London. Syd Barrett in 1970 recorded again Milky way for one of his solo album. Nick Mason sings on Scream thy last scream old woman with a casket a d Syd Barrett is the speedy voice. The Committee is a movie made in 1968 with new music by Pink Floyd with David Gilmour. Thank you for the nice share. Viva Pink Floyd!
actually, I was of the understanding that nick sang the helium sounding parts (scream).. the lead vocal certainly sounds like syd.. also the interstellar overdrive is from oct. 31, 1966 according to my notes..
33:20 Very rare, but not from The Committee. It's from something called "Science Session: Let's Make Pop" aka "Laying Down Tracks" broadcast either 5th March or 10th June 1969 on BBC TV. Recorded in the studio 17 Dec 1968 during the early sessions for the "More" soundtrack.
This particular sound clip (albeit very badly recorded from TV sound on an external tape recorder) documented the making of "Roger's Boogie"..... ruclips.net/video/F20JpQIGcNM/видео.html I first heard this clip in 1992 from another bootleg CD, had been wanting to hear "The Committee," but never did so until the mid-2010's, so I was baffled as to what this "lost track" was....
Yupp ! Man.. exept the new stuff... animal is the last good P-F.. the Wall ... hmm from this point ... boring..selfrepetition..you know what i mean.. Syd B. in the begining - was a (Stones- Brian j.)Genius Shooter... he was very influential like Brian at the Stones and died prematurely ... with Sid it went degeneratively slowly ..- Let's hope .. that he has it over there well ... or again is here-below us .. :)
~ During the '88 tour (which I unfortunately missed) I read an article where they once played a Zeppelin song during the soundcheck (maybe "Whole Lotta Love?); that would have been interesting to see them do.
my dad huge fan pink Floyd when he was alive and i have test press album it’s worth a fortune because it says (the pink Floyd) that was name before pink Floyd i haven’t seen any at all staying in my collection
Is it "Piper At the Gates Of Dawn".? I had a 1st pressing vinyl (stereo) version and I sold it for a few hundred. I probably could have gotten even more.
Syd sings the Chipmunk part of scream thy last scream Nick Mason does the lead vocal part Interstellar overdrive was first recorded on Halloween of 1966 but as someone stated the version here is from January of 1967 I'm a king bee is a cover of a slim Harpo song that was recorded in early 1965 some people claim that the band was known at this point as the tea set I have no idea either way
I was baffled when i found out that the song "Incarsuration of a Flower Child " was released in 1999 and was not the song i heard on the radio 30+ years ago. The apparent UNTITLED song i heard had a reoccurring baroque-like keyboard melody with a trippy 3 minute middle 8 guitar solo and few lyrics sung by I believe Roger. It was quite up tempo unlike some of the Floyd tunes from the mid 60s. This song's outro had remnents from the COMMITTEE LP parts 1 and 2 and did not officially appear on any commercial Floyd LP I'm interested to know if in fact there is a title that is linked to this song
A commenter identified the song as "jet propelled photos"" by a Floyd sound-alike band called Soft Machine. The song was similar to the COMMITTEE soundtrack
Pink Floyd che dire l inizio di una storia che rimarrà immortale barret waters trascinatori delle innovazioni musicali di quella epoca psichedelica... Dove oggi è diventata un insegnamento per i nuovi gruppi che si avvicinano al genere.......
Prefiero no comentar. DEP . SID BARRET

That first Committee track has nothing to do with the movie!! Sounds more like an incredibly badly recorded t.v. interview! I've got a much better recording of the second one.
Love all the song title typos! 😂
"ASTRONOMINE Domine" my favourite, just beating "Obscured By CROUDS"!

Definitely earlier version of the early years album this is a gem
Not what the liner notes say. It says King Bee 1966 & Interstellar O. Oct. 31, 1967.

King Bee . . . LOVE IT! This has the distinction of being the only (known) Pink Floyd studio recording of a cover song.

Pink is an everyday suprise. Thank you so much for sharing this rare recording.
