For anyone reading these comments in the future, it took about 4.5 business days to switch my Adsense account for my RUclips Channel. I made the switch on Monday August 26th in the early afternoon and it just completed early this morning on Tuesday September 3rd. Although I actually lost a total of 7.5 calendar days of revenue due to the switch. I shouldn't have made the switch on a Monday before a three day holiday weekend (Labor Day Weekend). It's probably also best to avoid the "Back-To-School" season in late August and early September. I imagine that at least a few of the RUclips staff took off work for the holiday weekend and/or back to school activities. Also, all of my videos were still monetized. I was worried that I would have to enable monetization again on all of the videos.
Thanks for the video, going through this just now... :) What happened to the revenues that were collected on the old account, but still unpaid at the time of the switch? Paid through the old or the new adsense account? Thanks!
Also curious about what happens to the interim revenues as we're going through a similar situation. Google really makes it all more difficult than it should be, with the 32-day waiting period to change Adsense accounts and the inability to update details of an existing Adsense account.
Sorry for my delay. I switched when my balance was relatively low. However, that balance still sits in the account and below the threshold to pay. I am told I can reach out to support and they will pay it out. I need to try that
Hi Jason, were your monetization settings for each video on your primary channel still intact? Or did you have to turn on monetization for each video again? I have tons of videos on my primary channel and I just changed my Adsense account. I'm glad to hear it only took two days for the association process to complete. I'm just worried that I'll have to manually turn on monetization for each video or at least do a page at a time. It could take me a very long time to turn on monetization for all of the videos again. Thank you for the video.
Just in case someone else is reading these comments in the future, Jason responded to my question on his main RUclips channel. He said that all of his video monetization settings were intact. Here's his full reply - "Thanks for reaching out! Glad you found the video on my other channel, "Hey it's Jason!". As you can see, I'm still on my quest to be a RUclipsr! To answer your question, yes, once the switch was complete everything was intact. I did not have to enable it on each video. The wait period is annoying, but, it happens ... I am so happy it's all under the business now :) Keep me posted on how it goes."
Thanks very much for sharing all this detailed information. I appreciate it!
You are welcome!
