    Great tip on searching Quantas for Alaska never would’ve thought

      For sure! I had to play around a little bit to see which was best. I wouldn’t thought to just filter for American but there were some results that showed up that weren’t on Qatar, so Qantas was more accurate

    Great video! I’ve also found Qatar to be the cheapest option to book other OneWorld partners. I did one for Cathay Pacific and Malaysia Airlines was a good price too

    Could you elaborate on your recent 30 second post about free flight tool on American Airlines? The video was so fast I couldn’t figure it out.

      For sure! You can find the tool here:
      www.aa.com/en-us/miles-finder-map
      Just to be clear, it only shows routes and prices bookable with AA miles. Truthfully, it's not my first stop to look for deals, but it's a cool place to see what's possible with AA miles because of its map feature. I personally like to look at Points Yeah's Daydream explorer instead for skimming various points deals: www.pointsyeah.com/explorer

    How do you transfer points to Alaska airlines? They seem to have some of the best deals

    • @NurseMichaelTravels
      @NurseMichaelTravels  20 дней назад +1

      Hi! The only type of flexible points that transfer to Alaska Airlines is Bilt Rewards. So you would need the Bilt card, or get an Alaska Airlines credit card for a sign-up bonus. Other ways to earn points would be through their dining and shopping portal albeit slow ways.
      But I agree, they do seem to have a lot of great deals and opportunities, unfortunately it's a little bit harder to get their points.

    Would love it if you can make a follow-up video on this for AA redemptions through Finnair. It's supposed to be 11k miles within the continental USA AND it's supposed to include multiple segments. Seems like it could be very useful for zone 4 distance bands or flights with connections. Haven't seen many data points on this.

    • @NurseMichaelTravels
      @NurseMichaelTravels  20 дней назад

      I’ll check it out! Honestly I think I did just one search on Finnair and didn’t see what I was looking for, so I just wrote it off. I’ll play with it some more though and follow up, thanks for the tip/feedback!

      @@NurseMichaelTravels no problem! I think the only way to book AA on Finnair is through chat, hence why it’s not easily accessible as of yet.

    Can you please provide an example of a flight from JFK to DEL with a stopover in DXB, or vice versa? Alternatively, can you provide an example of a flight from JFK to Japan with a stopover in Dubai or New Delhi? Your assistance with this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

      This might be a hard route to force into a single award redemption with a stopover, I'll look into it and let you know what I find. I'm assuming you're looking for a premium cabin?

      Hey Sean! After looking into it, there's really only one option for this routing and that's with Emirates' aware program which sadly passes on high surcharges to customers, the total price would be 138k miles + $1098
      You would book on Emirates' site searching with the "advanced search: multi-city" option on the front page, type in the cities and dates you want the flights to be on building in that stopover and it'll give you your options. It costs no extra miles to book it but you'll pay the surcharges for each segment giving the total price I mentioned eariler.
      Award space in business class is pretty plentiful on their website but if needed you could use Seats.Aero to find award space.
      I couldn't get First class to price out with the stopover built in, theoretically would cost 163.5k miles + ~$1100
      There's some posts talking about if you book either an award flight just from JFK to DXB you may be able to call and add that segment segment to DEL for free.
      Theoretically Air Canada also offers flights on Emirates, but award space from JFK is nonexistent.
      There's award space on Emirates from Toronto and other places in Canada for 125500 miles + 115 CAD just for a one way to DXB.
      and then 160.7k miles + 164 CAD for biz class on Emirates to DXB, then biz class on Air India for second segment with a stopover in DXB.
      The routing JFK-DXB-TYO with a stopover is possible on Emirate's website as well with a price of: 158,750 miles + $1284
      Hope this answers your question. If you think a video drawing this out would be helpful, let me know and I'll add it to the list!
      Michael
