Transhumances Residency - Sauvan - Galerie Philia

The aim of Transhumances was the gathering during the Covid-19 Period of international artists meeting to work locally, with local materials, for a local exhibition.
Residency Artists :
Cédric Breisacher, Kaaron, Valentine Maurice, Jérôme Pereira, Sylvia Eustache Rools, Frédéric Saulou, Flora Temnouche.
Exhibited Artists with the previous ones in Barjac Castle :
Jojo Corväiá, Evan Fay, Pietro Franceschini, Jan Garncarek, Roxane Lahidji, Dessislava Madanska, Mark Sturkenboom and Milla Vaahtera.
Transhumances was born during the Coronavirus Lockdown and themes emerging during this period: the need to meet around a common horizon defined by artistic quality, conviviality, and a deep homage to the environment.
The Transhumances event has seen the creation and the exhibition of a set of sculptural design works created in a common residency taking place close to the exhibition's Castle.
The artists selected by the Galerie Philia have met together at Le Sauvan in order to sculpt works from local materials. The aesthetic outcome of this work has been exhibited at the Château de Barjac.
