Are there any parking spots nearby the entrance? I will be going there for surgery and don’t know if I will have the strength to walk back that far once I get back into America
Closest parking lot is behind the jack in the box. I don’t have the exact address but look up the jack in the box and the parking lot is right behind ...it’s probably a 5 minute walk from the border
@@SalTravels do you feel safe walking thru the border and Were they guarded/protected everywhere? @@JessicaJNV it’s safe, but once you get to the end of the border, have a plan! Either someone you know picking you up, an Uber waiting for you, or an address to have a taxi take you
Was wondering if you just showed your USA passport or need a Mexico vsa 6month pass ? Last time I went a month ago they were asking for Mexico visa which is $30
You need to show a passport. And you do need an FMM visitors card. But if you're staying under 7 days that card is supposed to be free. But they've been pulling that "you have to buy a 6 month permit for $30" garbage for more than a year. They're scamming thousands of visitors. Pre print the FMM card off the government website and fill it out before getting to the border. It lessens the chances that the corrupt border agents will try to swindle you out of another $30.
@@richardweiler3966 thanks I appreciate that. Lately, I went to the Mexico citizen side and not make eye contact. I got lucky last week. Hahaha but thanks for that feedback. Definitely will try that 👍🏼🥂. It's ridiculous. I can afford to pay that everytime since I usually go to Tijuana about twice a month
@@ALBreezyx68 if you still have the 6 month FMM visa that they charged you $30 for, you can continue to use it and walk through the Mexican citizen's line. Just check the expiration date to make sure that it's still good. Otherwise download that FMM card ahead of time. I do that and haven't had any problems with the agents asking for money.
Just came from there if you have a death with go there at 2 to 3 am no one is out t your crossing the border alone no street vendors nothing it seems pleasant but isnt stay in well lite areas if theres any besides the main strip in zona norte
Another excellent video!! Can Uber, Didi, etc. pick you where you see the taxi stopped on the street? Thanks!
Correct, Uber is across the street from there though
All those taxis waiting by the end of your video are safe to take? Any scams or anything to watch out for with those taxi? Do they speak any english?
I prefer Uber but yes they are safe, just get a price before you get in the car and not at the end
Nice video. You should produce one showing the other direction. Both pedwest and this one.
I did one last year, it’s pretty much the same thing. And Pedwest is currently closed

They just glance at your passport or passport card? No scanning it or other paperwork involved?
Depends on the day and time of day and the officer 😂 but yes, most of the time they just glance
This is a great video! Thanks!
Thanks for watching!
Me gustaria ver uno de regreso tijuana a Usa

This is around 9pm, yes there are taxis
@@SalTravels thankyou!!!.. Be in San Diego in November flying in from another state. 🤙🏽

I’ve only seen them stamp a few times, usually they just give you the 7 day visa paper
You mentioned you parked behind The Jack In the Box at a parking lot. Do you know the name of the lot and the address. We are walking in tomorrow.
I’m not sure, just look up Jack in the box San ysidro and it’s right behind

Is there any safe overnight parking on the US side?
Yes for sure, there’s about 4 parking lots nearby, all safe
Can you use your Sentri card to enter Mexico? Or do you still need your regular passport or passport card?
I’m not sure to be honest, I always have my passport card for entry into Mexico
Mexico won't recognize your Sentri card for entry. They want to see a passport or passport card.
What id you used for crossing the border?
Sentri card
If I’m crossing with passport, they going to sign on the passport?
