Your positive attitude is so inspiring! I love the way you love life! Thank you for reminding us that no matter our surroundings we get to chose how we feel!
that is absolutely true...mostly! ;-) I have Seasonal Affective Disorder and I get VERY low energy and mood when it gets darker in the Winter. I live in Northwestern NY State, across Lake Ontario from Toronto. I need some medication and a full spectrum "Happy Light" to get through the darkest part of the year! As do so many people I know. I wish I could just "chose" to be happy because if I could I certainly would! I tend to be a pretty darn optimistic person and feel very different when the temperatures warm and we get more light. Oh, that's another thing about where I live, even when the weather is warm, we have "heavy cloudy" days more than 50% of the year. That has an effect as well. But, today it's warmer than it has been and supposed to be in the 60's on Wednesday! (before the temps get colder again) but I'm excited and looking forward to that!
Even Grim doesn’t want to out in that crazy storm! I was so happy to see you on Kara & Nate’s channel. I hope the exposure is very beneficial to you. I would love to be in your cabin while that snow storm is raging - Grim for snuggles, Chrisoffer for cooking and you to laugh with.
Your cabin looks so cosy and warm, even when there is a raging storm going on outside. I'm in the UK and have definitely noticed a positive change with sunrise/sunset over the last few weeks (obviously not as extreme as yours) At this time (15:50) a few weeks ago I would have been putting my lights on... now, it's still daylight.
Just loved watching Kara and Nate visiting you - it was sooooo funny. The ‘peas de resistance’ part was hilarious and Christoffer’s meal looked scrumptious.
There's no better feeling than lounging in your jammies all day with hot chocolate, a comfy sofa, and a good blanket when there is crazy winter weather outside, especially when you have a sweet, fluffy pup to cuddle ❤ Poor Grim, though, with his stress from being cooped up when it got too bad 🤗 I was overjoyed when I found out that Kara and Nate were going to Svalbard and visiting you, as I have suggested this collaboration to them before. Watching you and Christoffer and Grim together with them was happiness overload!!!
I have to admit that, yes, I am sad that polar night is over. My favorite times have definitely been the 24 hour, dark winter days . Living during these months through your videos has given me great comfort. Thanks to you, Christopher, and of course, Grimm.
Love your videos. And my dog loves grim…when he hears your voice, he runs to the tv looking for grim. And just non stop stares at the tv and barks the whole time lol
How amazing is nature! Poor Grim! He so wanted to go outside, but I can understand why he didn’t want to deal with that crazy wind. Thank you for sharing another great video! Goodbye polar nights ❤.
That was intense and scary, appears the cabin held sturdy with the crazy winds, crazy watching Christoffer out there with the snow mobiles and interesting how you need to be cognizant of the wind direction to move the snow mobiles. I'm sure Grim was very glad when the storm ended! And wow, guess Kara and Nate just missed the storm! Their video was so fun with you all together!
I lived in Florida, US, and went through several Hurricanes, including Andrew with 40+ m/sec winds. Christoffer is an amazing superhero for standing up to those winds - sorry you lost the windshields, but glad everyone is safe.
The huge difference between Florida and Norway, is that Norway builds everything to withstand the powerful storms they get. During my years there, I experienced several winter hurricanes. No boarding up etc., no problems.
After hearing the audio on your Kara and Nate collab, and then hearing you speak in the middle of the storm, your microphone must be incredible!!! Your audio is so good!
Holy blowy!!!! About 6 was ago here in far Northern Minnesota, USA...we had ourselves a huge snowstorm with 40mph sustained winds for almost 3 days. At the peak of the storm, we had 6 hours with gusts up to 74 mph at the Lake Superior harbor....removing roofs from local buildings. Hold on to your hat!!!! And poor Grim, like our Indy dog....fastest pee we've ever seen. We had fun watching you with Kara and Nate....2 of our favorite channels wrapped in one. !!!!
Notice that in their powerful storm, nothing was damaged. I lived in Norway for years, and experienced several winter hurricanes. No boarding of windows and such; because homes and buildings are built to withstand them. Very much unlike the U.S.
Oh my gosh I would be quivering in that situation hearing the wind and worrying about the house blowing away not to mention Christopher also blowing away. Grim is a smart dog.
I’m watching this after coming back from surfing here in Hawaii, it was a little cloudy and a lot windy so I thought it was FREEZING ❄️😂 Thank you Cecilia for providing me with a more realistic perspective! I love watching how much you thrive in weather that would kill me 😆💙

🤍🌨❄️☃️Well Kristoffer Cecilia n Grim , been hanging with you all day. Im feeling a bit better now. You kept the lonely out of my being alone today. Hanging with you in your cabin is just what I needed. You are a truly blessed family sharing your blessings thru every video. 🩵🌨❄️🤍
Loved seeing you spend time with Kara and Nate. No surprise you all got along great! How far is the water from your cabin? Do waves ever get close to the cabin in bad weather?
I'm laughing..... I just turned 73 I'm watching this in November of 2024. Thanksgiving eve The cold gets harder and harder to take, I'm in Rhode Island ( not an island), USA. So this is why I enjoy your videos makes winter easier for me to navigate, things could always be worse kinda thinking. Wishing you all the best happy holidays ❤❤❤
You open the door so often my dad would be yelling "YOU'RE LETTING ALL THE HEAT OUT! WERE YOU BORN IN A BARN??" He says the same thing when you stand looking in the fridge... I am 38 now and I still get asked if I was born in a barn! Dad's are funny
Cecilia, we both have experienced the highest winds we’ve seen…you at around 75 MPH and me down here in Southwest Florida…150 MPH in Hurricane Ian !!…stay warm…LOVE your channel…not the cold !!
Huge difference though, between Florida and Norway. I lived in Florida for eight years, and many in Norway. All structures there are built to withstand the powerful storms they get. Even the windows are amazing. I saw them literally bow in and out, not even a crack in any of them. During my several winter hurricanes, no prepping, boarding up etc. "Live and learn" can't apply to Florida, because they never do.
I love this couple, their chemistry though different personality is something i should learn to have such a relationship, always my go to video for relaxing
"It's very cozy!" She says before a fresh gust of snowy wind physically hurts her face :"D I admire your eternal positive attitude! You are an inspiration n helped me change my whole attitude about winter n bad weather; me and my dog Odin thank you :)
I must say, you guys never looked *weather-beaten* being in this type of environment 24/7, one would think your whole self be one dry chapped person. I'm addicted to your videos. 🙂
I am totally in love with Grim! He reminds me so much of my dog Blue who passed away 2 years ago. I might have told you this already. Cecilia. when I saw you outside, I yell GO HOME!! I was scared when Christoffer went to check the snowmobiles. Wow, that's crazy weather. Much love always.
Thanks for sharing your storm with us! Love the palette of the February light. Royal Merge or Merge Garden are blights on the Svalbard landscape, though. I know you’re running a business and not a charity, but it is a bit like exchanging your traditional knit wool sweaters for neon hoodies. Go, Grim!
Every Sunday night I get ready for bed, snuggle in for the night then watch you. You amaze me! Even Grim didn’t want to go out but a girls got to get her nails done! 🤣🤣. I’m in the southern part of Texas in the America and I can’t imagine living there with the weather. Thank you for sharing your life with us!!!
A few years ago, I was in New Hampshire in the White Mountains when a blizzard hit. I was living in southern CA at the time where winter was rarely less than 40. But in that blizzard I stepped outside when it was -37 degrees. I stood there just trying to feel how cold the cold was. I was bundled up. My nose hairs froze immediately. It was so cold that it didn't even feel colder than normal. I stayed out less than 2 minutes, maybe not that long, but I'm glad that I got to experience it.

I love listening to you speak Norwegian to Chris and your friends! I love snow too! I would love to move there!
FINALLY!! I’ve been dying to know how your nails always look so gorgeous. You have naturally beautiful nail beds though, so that’s a blessing!
Loved seeing you spend time with Kara and Nate. No surprise you all got along great! How far is the water from your cabin? Do waves ever get close to the cabin in bad weather?
Your photography is stunning and so is Svalbard. Thank you for your beautiful channel and for sharing your life with us.
You definitely have the best RUclips channel EVER! 💖 Love the light as Svalbard comes out of Polar Night. 💕
You are my kind of woman! Even a snowstorm can’t stop you from getting your nails done! If I lived there I would have the appointment right after you!
It was fun to see Kara and Nate's visit with you. I was hoping you'd include their visit from your perspective.
I loved this video. Mostly because we got to see snuggly puppy Grim so much!
I love being cozy during a snow storm. ❤️
I keep thinking of me at 95 watching my old videos LOL. But i'm still going to be vlogging at 95 too 😆👍 I plan on never stopping 💜
So glad you all made it through ! My fur babies don’t like storms of any sort so I totally get Grim’s reaction - big hugs and I love your channel!
So cozy with the fire and a cup of coffee or tea. And a raging snow storm outside. ❄️❄️
Grim got so close to the camera when giving us all a kiss, that I could smell his breath! Hu, hu, hu, hu, right back at you Grim.
Hahha right in the lens there 🤣🧡
I love that you are civil to each other during twilight!
This was one of my favorite videos, Cecilia!! I LOVE a good storm- though, I want everyone, including Grim, to stay safe!!❤❤❤
I'm laughing..... I just turned 73 I'm watching this in November of 2024. Thanksgiving eve
The cold gets harder and harder to take, I'm in Rhode Island ( not an island), USA.
I subscribed after seeing you on Kara and Nate’s channel.
What a great channel you have here. 💙
Thank you so much! 😍
Ditto 😊 You are a breath of fresh air 🤗
I love this couple, their chemistry though different personality is something i should learn to have such a relationship, always my go to video for relaxing
Love the bromance Grim and Christopher have going on. ❤
"It's very cozy!" She says before a fresh gust of snowy wind physically hurts her face :"D
I admire your eternal positive attitude! You are an inspiration n helped me change my whole attitude about winter n bad weather; me and my dog Odin thank you :)
I must say, you guys never looked *weather-beaten* being in this type of environment 24/7, one would think your whole self be one dry chapped person. I'm addicted to your videos. 🙂
Hahah! It's all about hair oil, nose oil, face oil 🤣 Stay hydrated 🙏
@@CeciliaBlomdahl It's working.
Part of my Sunday morning routine is to enjoy your latest post. You are so hearty! Keep up the good work. Give Grim some scratches for us.
You're the best! 😊
Thanks for sharing your storm with us! Love the palette of the February light. Royal Merge or Merge Garden are blights on the Svalbard landscape, though. I know you’re running a business and not a charity, but it is a bit like exchanging your traditional knit wool sweaters for neon hoodies. Go, Grim!
I LOVE SNOW !!!!
IT'S MAGICAL
I have always made those "oyoyoy" noises like she does at 3:26 and now with Cecilia's encouragement I do it with no self consciousness
This video will get me through the winter storm we're expecting next week....your positive perspective is contagious.
Where do you expect a winter storm?
@@phillipproussier3723 I live in Canada
@@nancyg323 Which region of Canada expects a snowstorm next week? I want to experience it, so if it´s close to my place, maybe I will travel there.
I always enjoy blizzard warnings and then a day or two of getting dumped on. Everyone is forced to set still, stay home, and take a break.
I just love your energy and positivity. Despite the freezing cold skin piercing wind 🥶 🥶🥶
You have the absolute best videos about Longyearbyen. I have seen several other content providers and I get bored. Your videos are magical.
Following after Collab with Kara and Nate. So happy !! Hello Christoffer Cecilia and Grim. Thank you for your channel. Stay Safe.
at 11:58 - this is how Minnesota is in winter. You just kind of stand like a popsicle and hope the wind stops soon. You made me laugh.
