- This video is a sound comparison of my 2011 V6 camaro before and after the Cam and other upgrades. The cams along with the LT headers really bring out the sound! Also this car is much louder in person than what the audio is producing.

You could of titled this a legitimate making a v6 sound like a v8 video...No doubt, it sounds very similar to a 5.3 at 2k-3k rpms without a doubt while most cammed v6's only sound this aggressive only at idle, and it's wild to actually hear a 3.6 sound so good while even cruising a lower rpms..I've heard cammed v6 stangs but they all lost the sound once they started moving..This camaro on the other hand could trick alot of people just cruising through the city...Best i've heard, but on the other hand, Chevy is notorious for producing good sounding v6's..The 4.3's sound pretty wild with certain flowmaster setups alone...3:36 😆

This is awesome man, you rarely see anyone camming the V6. My son's buddy has a ghost cam tune on his 2012 RS, but obviously not the same thing, although it sounds good. I have a 2010 SS with a GPI cam, longtubes, full bolt ons, etc. She's a beast - got some videos on my channel. Anyhow, good luck and keep it up man! Your car looks and sounds great!

Thank you bro!!! I got my maro brand new and barely got around to putting money in it within the last year. First, if you plan on keeping your car I would cam it. If your not planning on keeping it I wouldn't bother because it can be costly.. As far as the sound if your looking for more of a v8 sound out of your v6 then cams will help you achieve that. Thanks bruh! Mace engineering cams are the only cams for our v6 Camaro. I took it to my mechanic, and he did his magic! With your Camaro being a 2014 you will not be able to put headers on it. Headers are one of the main components that helps bring out the sound.
Good Post man. I have a 2011 RS with a MRT exhaust and cold air inductions. Looking for more sound and more HP. This looks like the route I’m going to take if I don’t decide to swap to a V8 engine.

First, What are you looking to achieve with your vehicle? Cams are typically not marketed with the v6 camaro leaving little or no cam options because people tend to just go with the v8 which have numerous selections of cams. The only cams out there for our v6 that i know of are from Mace Engineering. These are from Australia. Hope this helps bro.

Thanks man. I'm aware of that. The v6 doesn't and Will NOT lope like the v8 to be clear and I already knew it wouldn't, however I was aiming for a v8 sound similar to a 4.8 or 5.3 liter and I definitely achieved that.
@@KrieseTV it sounds good but definitely don't sound like a 4.8 or 5.3 I daily drove a few early 2000s pick up trucks with both of these motors straight piped and I can guarantee you that this doesn't sound like them but it does sound good

between 2-3k bro. That's will all parts and labor. You also would want to know a good mechanic. Not a bunch of mechanics are able and more so willing to cam a v6..

Hey bro. I got my cams installed at my mechanic located in Peoria AZ. I got new valve springs, arm rockers, lifters, my heads taken out and machined while I got my performance cams installed. I basically rebuilt the top half of my engine. With all parts and labor it cost me about 3k.

Do you know about how much power you gained from the cams?
Its a bout a 20-30 hp gain with the cams alone. With the cams and other upgrades i've done this far, it's pushing a little over 360 at the wheels. I've had my car for 10 years and the cams are a HUGE difference!! I have other videos showing all parts and mods I've done so far.

At the time the cams cost roughly 560 and the labor was around 3-4k if I'm not mistaken man.

@@epic_m1681 You got the same year as mine yours want technically sound like his because the LFX has a down pipe meaning it’s 1 hole 🕳 on both side of the engine while the LLT engine got 3 on both sides
Yes, it'll sound similar but not quite the same without the headers.
You need cherry bomb fast eww bro It the glass pack and re tip it with the 5 inch and you'll need two

I ordered them from Amazon back in 2019
Was the the round ones for the as or was they the oval/ square ones for the v6? I got one and I’m struggling with trying to get it to sound as good as yours. It’s cammed, long tube headers but I just need to know which mufflers to order because they ain’t cheap and don’t wanna make a mistake. Let me know asap excited to get the sound you got, got alot of raspy and I hate it.
