in principle the lid assembly is easy to clean . however, i left ayran (or tomato juice) to dry in the lid on purpose, so the milky stuff nested down in all the little corners and angles, even in the embossing of the production date . and after a day it started to smell . a Q-tip didn't do the job (and i'll try to find an adequate mini brush) , a toothpick wouldn't be the way to go . the most effective method of fully cleaning the visible parts was by using a can of compressed air . If the lid still smells (because of mold in the trigger chamber), then the only reasonable way to go would be to soak the lid in hot water with a dishwasher tab . Of course, with organic trappings, dishwasher tabs always do the best cleaning job .. but it's inconvenient to deal with that supersoapy water.
Hi, I purchased this travel mug and the mug spills near the trigger button area when the button is pressed. I accidentally tilted the mug and liquid fell out from the button area. is this the same case for everyone else?
I just bought it, same problem, I was thinking maybe didn’t read the instructions on how to properly lock it up or set it up, any solutions to that problem?
I like the mug. What are the chances that it could spill in your bag if something (for example a book) presses the trigger-action button? Thanks for the video
Biggest problem with this is it stays hot to long! If you make it for your commute you’ll need to make in a separate mug and let it cool before transferring.
Is it normal to leak out of the button if you hold the button down and tip the flask upside down? it does not leak out the button only when pressed and upside down
Is it completely leak proof? Like, if it had coffee and was in a backpack on its side? Edit: just kidding - read the written review (thanks for all the details in that!)
I got for Christmas 2023. Used 4times can't get lid to fit together after cleaning. Now it's garbage. Replacement parts are hard to get everyone ordering the same part.
Yo, the twist handle on the stopper assembly has probably rotated with respect to the centre of the stopper assembly, it’s easy to do when it’s hot. Pinch the handle on the circumference so it squishes into an oval so you can rotate it past the stoppers and rotate it round 180°. It will then fit in fine. I did the same thing, just worked out how to fix it.
To prevent that I soak mine overnight with baking soda and water. I take the top apart and put the trigger n the cup so it is submerged and I turn the lid upside down so it is submerged as well. Next morning I use soap and water and it is like new!
I have a question, I just bought mine from the store and it makes a rattle sound with nothing in it? It seems to be around the bottom of the cup. Is it defective ?
I've had one for a couple years and it still works like new. So easy to clean!
Its easy to clean even with chocolate drinks/whey or thicker drinks?
One hand handling makes a lot of difference for a bottle. Specially when driving.
Had mine for 2 months lid does not screw together anymore. The older and simpler the mug the better.
Nice Review. Can a man put the lid and everything in the dishwasher?

Yeah, this kinda ruins the whole mug for me.

I am wondering the same thing
Yes, could happen even though the trigger is quite stiff. Best put it in a side pocket.
@@paulfogarty7724 Thank you very much for the reply!
Was looking for a thermos. After coming across this video, think I'll be trying Stanley out.
Let us know what you think of it! 😃

Does the lid fit any other Stanley thermos products like the French press?

is the trigger firm? could it be pressed by accident inside my bag?
Some people told on Amazon it's hard to press
I have a question, I bought this mug a couple of months ago. I have a problem, the button isnt as confortable as I think it is, what can be?

what did you learn? where is that review?
What type of backpack would it be in
Always a chance the trigger can be pressed in a bag, if you want packable get the bottle flask
That is cool.
Are you sure this is the 12 oz?
Does the top of the lid lock so you can put it in a bag 🎒

Really nice...
if i use coffee and then water will it taste like coffee? some mugs taste like coffee

Put flask cleaner in it will be like new
I recently installed a binary trigger on mine.
I have a question, I just bought mine from the store and it makes a rattle sound with nothing in it? It seems to be around the bottom of the cup. Is it defective ?
mine too, didn't start until about 6th month
no idea, it stops whenevr I'm close to thinking I know what it is
It might be a loose "getter", used in vacuum tubes.
so in a backpack on a hike the trigger might be depressed and things might spill out . . yes?
Unfortunately, it doesn't sit 100% close to the mechanism. In addition, you get burned if you don't wait about 1 hour to drink because there is no mug
Lol! When I halt turn anything to cool I forget to close it
Do the little part inside the lid can be separated?
I don’t think so. It is dishwasher safe but if you don’t have one you can soak the lid in warm water to dissolve any dirt
Yes .but won't get back together. Customer service will say you broke it. And your SOLl
Don’t buy this mug ! The lid doesn’t come apart enough to clean it well . All good except for care
Which part? Better than Contigo/coleman. U have old model?
One of the best coffee mugs I got so far
yeah, I'm here looking for a way to clean the trigger chamber and seal
not having any luck either
Just let it soak in hot water for an hour or so and shake it inside the flask with soapy water
If it’s really stubborn mould try add a bit of rock salt
I bought this mug years ago, it is a bad design for single hand use. Don't waste your money.
