Neither the Artic nor the Yeti used insulated stoppers or caps. Insulated caps may be found for the Yeti possibly.

Thermos was 138.6 at the end... 138 on the Stanley. Thermos won. Not Stanley

In my videos, I get to speak my opinion. My opinion is that Stanley is a better option. But for a cheaper option the Thermos would be the way to go.

Misleading test result? Not good for Stanley i guess. Thermos is way to go.

@@EverydayMan very true, however this is about facts not opinion. You measured both for temps and the Thermos was at 138,6 and the Stanley at 138, correct? well in that case, the Thermos won the test for keeping the liquid hot.

And it did so with a smaller quality of hot liquid

If you are talking about keeping things hot in the cold weather, then test them in the cold weather. Fill hot, let them sit outside for a few hours.

Thanks to your review I went ahead and bought the 1.1qt version of the Stanley. A lot bigger than I thought it would be, and you’re right, it feels VERY durable. Right now it’s only $2 more than the Thermos. Will see how well it does for me.

I have a couple Yeti bottles and they are the worst at keeping ice. The bigger Yeti does do better than the smaller one. Hydroflask does even better. But still nothing compared to an old Sigg vacuum bottle I have; 84 hours till all the ice melts.

Did I miss anything? Clear winner = Stanley? Stanley was 138.2. Thermos was 138.6.
Yes, maybe Stanley is more rugged but if we look on the main purpose, the Thermos is doing slightly better. In addition, larger vessels hold temperature better than smaller ones. So if the Stanley would be the same size as the Thermos, than the difference would be even higher (shown also in other tests).
What many people also forget is the weight, the Stanley is by far the heaviest. For outdoor activities, this is quite an important factore.
Don't get me wrong, I love the Stanley, the look, the feel and all of it, but it seems like you're a little bit biased from your family's history with Stanley ;)

If you put four different size glasses of hot water on a table and come back in an hour the largest glass of water will be the hottest. All things being equal it's the same with vacuum bottles.
