Neither the Artic nor the Yeti used insulated stoppers or caps. Insulated caps may be found for the Yeti possibly.
How long have you had the water on the bottles?
Thermos was 138.6 at the end... 138 on the Stanley. Thermos won. Not Stanley
In my videos, I get to speak my opinion. My opinion is that Stanley is a better option. But for a cheaper option the Thermos would be the way to go.
Oh my bad. I thought it was a test of which one kept the water hotter?
Misleading test result? Not good for Stanley i guess. Thermos is way to go.
@@EverydayMan very true, however this is about facts not opinion. You measured both for temps and the Thermos was at 138,6 and the Stanley at 138, correct? well in that case, the Thermos won the test for keeping the liquid hot.
And it did so with a smaller quality of hot liquid
If you are talking about keeping things hot in the cold weather, then test them in the cold weather. Fill hot, let them sit outside for a few hours.
Thanks to your review I went ahead and bought the 1.1qt version of the Stanley. A lot bigger than I thought it would be, and you’re right, it feels VERY durable. Right now it’s only $2 more than the Thermos. Will see how well it does for me.
Nice - go Stanley - OG owns it! I'm personally a Yeti fan overall but happy for Stanley!
I have a couple Yeti bottles and they are the worst at keeping ice. The bigger Yeti does do better than the smaller one. Hydroflask does even better. But still nothing compared to an old Sigg vacuum bottle I have; 84 hours till all the ice melts.
My current thermos is a dud. I’ve bought a 1lt Stanley. Hopefully it’s better. Your test results say it’s good.
Love the Stanley!
Ive used that green Stanley for years now. Picked it up from Wal-Mart and it was cheap. I love that thing. It can take a beating. Great review.
Thanks! Love the stanley myself
Did I miss anything? Clear winner = Stanley? Stanley was 138.2. Thermos was 138.6.
Yes, maybe Stanley is more rugged but if we look on the main purpose, the Thermos is doing slightly better. In addition, larger vessels hold temperature better than smaller ones. So if the Stanley would be the same size as the Thermos, than the difference would be even higher (shown also in other tests).
What many people also forget is the weight, the Stanley is by far the heaviest. For outdoor activities, this is quite an important factore.
Don't get me wrong, I love the Stanley, the look, the feel and all of it, but it seems like you're a little bit biased from your family's history with Stanley ;)
that XL Stanley will hold loads of coffee on your hunt'n trip!
those OLD Stanley were great! new...?
Theyve olny been making them for over 100 years
why compare all different sizes? do you think it is equal?
I got as close as I could get to compare products
So I have the standley, what I do to keep my coffee stay hotter longer is I boil water and add the water to the thermos and let it sit in there for about 15 mins, it keeps the coffee hotter longer.
That works for sure.
Sounds like the same concept as pre-chilling a cooler. Smart man 👌🏼
If you put four different size glasses of hot water on a table and come back in an hour the largest glass of water will be the hottest. All things being equal it's the same with vacuum bottles.
Stanley is for me the best of the brands
Bro I am so invested in your can-am, I hope you got out riding. Dealerships are the worst, more like dealershits am i right?
No doubt.
138.6 is higher than 138.0, what are you talking about the Stanley is a clear winner?
They were close enough that the temps didn't matter. The quality of the Stanley is much better in my opion.
Please do another video on the xmr. I’ll take any of the thermos bottles.
I need to do an update video on it.
@@EverydayMan I have the exact defender, just a 3 seater. Man I love it- what was wrong with your transmission?
@donaldphillips3786 the transmission failed they said because of turf mode failed. I really don't know what happened.
@@EverydayMan gotcha, you have a good evening Brother-
@@donaldphillips3786 you too
That's all I've used is Stanley
I’d love the Yeti!
Me too!
I bought Thermos :-)
How was the Stanley the "clear winner"? The Thermos kept it hotter.
The temps were almost exactly the same. The Stanley is of better build quality. In my opion it's a better product.
Yeti for the win!!! 🎉
I'm surprised at the results myself. I have a Yeti Rambler and I thought it did a very good job. I was not expecting the Thermos and Stanley to do as well as they did. Stanley for the win!
I feel the same way. I thought the Yeti would be as good.
bigger bottle remains hot longer
I only use stanley. Its better
I perfer the Stanley
Stanley!
I agree
Stanley is my favorite never have cared for yetti way over priced.
stanley for the win :)
