- Hello friends, and welcome to a new knitting episode from me - a slightly windy one, at first. I hope you will be OK with the 'ambient' noise. The wind gradually dies down, only to be replaced by a little medley of birds and city sounds toward the end, but you should be able to hear me. Such is the price of sitting outside. I hope all is well with you and that you are finding joy in your knitting and whatever else is in your life right now. (I've tried adding chapters this time and hope it works).

Hi Helle, my favorite thing to do is watch knitting podcasts. Yours is the one I look forward to the most. Not just for the knitting but because of your beautiful spirt. I love your content, your quotes and stories are up lifting. We attract what we send into the world 💕
@maryburns5040 do you watch Inga at knitting traditions? She is also excellent x
❤️😘🥰
My sentiments exactly 😊
@@Stumpybear7640 No, thank you for recommending her, I’ll watch😊
You need to be “you” and that is what I appreciate. 🥰👍
I had to pause the video at the introduction so I could write this down before I forget to.... talking about people leaving and what have you.... what I love about your podcast is that you always give us something to think about. Knitting can sometimes be mindless when we need to relax and not fret about things... Cleansing of our souls. But often your comments come back to me during those times and I really think about them and explore them. So I'm in for anything you feel like chatting about. I work from home and don't interact with a lot of people most days so it's good to hear other people's thoughts and moments of awe. And those girls that made the archway over the little boy....I want to hug every one of them. That was very special.
Thanks so much for receiving what I say in exactly the way I intended and for writing to tell me 🙏🏻😘❤️
This is the classiest podcast out there. Thanks for your intelligence and amazing good taste.
Thank you so much for your lovely words 😌🩵
Oh my gosh, I love your podcast! It’s very calming for me, you are so talented and intelligent. I look forward to your podcast and I like to get cozy and get all set up with my notepad, my tea or coffee, and my knitting. Your knitting, your home, your quotes, your roses, it’s the whole package! Don’t change a thing ❤
Thank you so much for this 🙏🏻❤️😘
One of the reasons I like to watch you, is that you have lovely taste and introduce designs that many are not knitting. I love something a bit different and you showcase simplicity and beauty so very well. X
Thanks so much for your words 🩵🙏🏻
Dear Helle, so lovely to sit with you again! Your garden is beautiful and was such a privilege to see! I enjoy listening to your ramblings and musings and only regret that we cannot have a true conversation - you spark so much thought and there is never enough space to write it all here. Your knits are as always true works of art and once again, without wanting to slight anyone, your interpretation is often more beautiful than the designers (to me)😊. I love all the pinks- the nutiden looks like cotton candy😂. Adorable cat, so nice to have him stop by.
😘🌸😻
Another gem from you Helle. So glad always to have your company whilst I contentedly knit and purl away! I appreciate your wisdom and integrity as well as the actual knitting content. It’s this that brings me back. I also find it refreshing to have a successful podcaster who isn’t always flogging a product. I respect your selectivity in sharing. And I now have serious Thread and Maple envy!! 😂
Helle, I adore your channel. I began watching you over a year ago for the musings, travel videos, and beautiful Danish scenery. I have kept watching for all of that plus your knitting content. You are such a skilled knitter and the garments that you select are the type of items that I would want to have in my wardrobe. In fact, your knitting has inspired me to get back into knitting and I am now happily knitting *too* many sweaters (all of which I absolutely love). Thank you for creating this space and I hope that you continue to make this joyful mix of content for as long as you enjoy doing so.
🙏🏻😘❤️
Thank you , and I like you just the way you are 🙋♀️
😘🙏🏻😌❤️
Thank you for all the beautiful episodes you've presented on RUclips. I found your podcast through knitting, but I return because I enjoy hearing about your travels, your current reading, and yes, your musings, as well as your knitting. 🌸
What a lovely quote: Learn to dance on a shifting carpet. It's beautiful. Thank you for this.
What an inspiring post. I always look forward to your quotes, and your musings on them. When you mentioned that some have unsubscribed, my first though was that those individuals were not genuinely part of your "tribe". I've begun to realize as I age, that the people I keep close, my "Tribe", are the ones that accept all of me, listen and truly hear what I say, and love me sometimes in spite of that. I will consider myself part of your tribe, as I enjoy all your posts, and have often delved into your quotes and recommendations on my own. Thank you! Kim
Totally agree, Kim. Thanks so much 😘❤️
Thank you for the reminder to celebrate and appreciate awe. It was a lovely story to listen to as I was knitting with you. And wow, that silk yarn has such a beautiful sheen. Thank you for making these engaging and calm videos.
One of the best things about podcasts, for me anyway, is the feeling of belonging. There are not a lot of knitters around me so it is wonderful to connect with the knitting world via podcasts ;-)
Yours is an especially good one 🎉😊
The chirping birds makes me think I am actually there on your deck with you! Delightful.
Thank you for sharing your stories at the beginning, they were so heartwarming and funny, esp the Irish pub one! You teaching your students the song certainly gave them a special lifelong memory too 🥰
How nice! I have been looking forward to your next episode for some time, so now it is finally here. Thank you so much!
Love your podcast and the way you tell us what is on your heart and sharing your experiences and the lovely ideas and thoughts you share. Also I do enjoy your knitting content, but it’s you that keeps me coming back. You present your thoughts and what you are knitting in a way that says you are sharing with a very good and old friend. So thank you 🙏🏻
Oh, I’m so glad you receive it that way - just as I could hope for ❤️🙏🏻
Your mention of Molly Malone catapulted me back to my childhood and learning the song from my Irish/English background neighbors here in the States. Decades later I was in Dublin and came across the statue.
I continue enjoying your channel and all the tips and processes you describe as well as your ramblings and life observation. And your lovely garden.
Sitting and listening to your video was a lovely way to start my day.
As always, your knitting projects are stunning and timeless. Your Nutiden yarn looks so airy. I hope you will be able to wear the finished item.
I didn't know Thread & Maple was Canadian. One day, I may level up ... they recently came out with crochet binders, which were brand specific as grip styles vary. They are beautiful. Many thanks for sharing your gift with us. I do prefer content creators who limit their product reviews, etc, to items they actually use.
Knitting a pair of socks for a long-time friend and crocheting a mini afghan with a gifted sock yarn stash (about 1 kg ... 25% left).
Cheers from Winnipeg, Canada 🇨🇦.
Dear Helle, You brighten my day, warm my heart, and soothe my soul. Thank you for every different topic that you share - all are wonderful and special for me. I learn a lot from you and thank you for your time. Cathy in Atlanta, GA USA
Thank you so much for your kind words, Cathy 😘🙏🏻
I am here for the musings❤😊. The knitting is just a bonus! Look forward to the next one!
I am one who prefers bottom up and even seamed knitting to having a heavy load on my needles though, so I always get excited when someone shows a bottom-up pattern! I like doing sleeves first. They are my gauge swatches and so much easier to knit on their own. I am also adhd, so it helps to finish parts and break up my accomplishments😂. That leads to my next incentive, I always add my own twist. Patterns are for direction and information on the "how to" do a shape or stitch pattern..... but the end product for me has to be a creative spatial adventure or.... I lose interest. I am 60 and just finally learning to accept that about myself now. It has made my fiber endeavors so much more fun and enduring and... meditative, something also new to me❤.
The Thread and Maple binder is so expensive but I want it SO bad. My old knitpicks one is okay but the vinyl cover is disintegrating 🙃
"Can I just show you the cat?" That is literally me in a sentence, lol. Thank you for another wonderful, thoughtful and enjoyable episode. Every time I watch your videos (and not just the knitting ones) I remember my weeks in Sæby and Frederikshavn a few years back with such fondness. Your garden is reminiscent of that time for me and so different from what I have here at home in California. How lovely that something as simple (or not so simple sometimes) as knitting can put us in the same room even though we're miles apart.
Love your whole comment, thank you 😘❤️
HI Helle, I think all of you podcasters are so brave to put yourselves out there. I enjoy your musings, your projects and thoughts on yarns and colours, your finds and the sense of community you're creating on here. Thanks for sharing.
Authentic, genuine connection- all aspects of why I so enjoy your point of veiw and ability to create our community anew
Love this space and so glad you share thoughts, ideas and of course your knitting.
Hi Helle, love everything about your podcast, your gorgeous projects and knitting inspirations, the beautiful backgrounds etc. I also love watching your travel videos. Have a wonderful trip. Looking forward to your next video. Thank you so much. Anja B.
Hello from Gretna Nebraska USA 🥰 I love your episodes so much ! You are such a lovely person with a beautiful soul ! Love the knitting and your beautiful beautiful home ! 💖
😘🌸🤍
So lovely to sit in your garden with your cat and share your creative pursuits.
❤️🇨🇦❤️
@@knitnut246connie7 Love the beautiful slip over you're wearing in your thumbnail photo!
Thank you, I love it too. It is Lana Vest.❤️🇨🇦❤️
From the beginning, I have enjoyed your gentle, musings and beautiful knitting. I am a beginner knitter but you remind me of our wonderful trip to Sweden and Denmark - a different world from us rushed Americans- (since you lived here, you can relate) please don’t (know easy for me to say) let the grumpies bother you. There are the rest of us that enjoy being part of your “tribe” 🌸 ☺️
Thanks so much for your words and for being here 😘❤️
Although there are many knitting podcasts that I watch, there are only a few that I love, and yours is the first of those. When it’s been a bit since you’ve posted, I hope you are well. I’m excited when a new episode drops..Please don’t change a thing!
Thank you so much 🙏🏻😌 All is well, thanks, just need to take my time. Much love ❤️
I‘ve been waiting for your new podcast for a month, I absolutely love your channel. Your thoughts, your voice, your knitting, your presence-everything is delightful. Each episode is like honey for my soul. Thank you❤
Aw thanks so much (and thanks for your patience) 🩷
Nice to see you here again, I had been thinking it was time. This week I bought a ticket to a yarn event called Sacred Sheep that does not happen until November, a commitment to continued year round knitting. Maybe a visit to The Lamb and Kid before November. In the meantime, I am readying items to be entered in our small county fair, pushing myself to finish at least one of the two sweaters in my WIP category. It is certainly possible to complete both if I manage to avoid distractions. Your soft shades are lovely and suit you so well. I do like the metaphor of rugs and change. XX
Such a beautiful setting! You are very endearing.
Love your aesthetic, your generous spirit, and, your obvious integrity, So very happy for you that you got such beautiful gifts - especially that luxurious leather organizer. I feel same as you re. only having treasured "things" since I am in the paring down phase of my life. I sincerely hope that you enjoy it without feeling like you owe anyone any explanation.
Thank you so much 😌❤️
Thank you so much for your lovely podcast. You inspire me to follow what I am drawn to rather than the latest trend, and I love your exquisite taste in combining yarns and patterns. The quote, the garden, and even your cat who looks like mine makes me feel like I am sitting down with a kindred spirit to knit together.
Aw that’s lovely. Glad to have a kindred spirit out there 😻❤️
Thank you, Helle. A delightful episode in your beautiful garden. Your choice of colours and patterns are an inspiration. 🇬🇧
Lovely podcast episode, beautiful sweaters. I'll be in Denmark this Summer, also visiting Odense. And looking forward to some yarn shopping over there.
Thank you for this episode. Your sweaters look beautiful. Thank you for sharing.
I’m knitting some generic socks for myself and animals for Waldorf handwork teacher training. See you in your next episode.
My first time here . I really enjoyed your podcast and the atmosphere you created. And of course your cat 😍 the sweaters look beautiful on you . Happy summer . Greeting from the Netherlands
Hello Helle……Your knitting episodes are so wonderful, uplifting and encouraging! I look forward to them each and every time. Speaking of vacations….my husband and I will be in Copenhagen next week. Would you be able to recommend a good local restaurant, nothing too fussy. Just good Danish food. BTW, I’m planning on visiting Knitting for Olive….I am so excited. Again, thank you and best wishes to you and yours. Stephanie Fite
Love your podcast so much ! And to see your roses , absolutely gorgeous. Thank you again!
Nice episode! I have 4 active WIPS right now. I’m making 2 granddaughters Shades of Summer dresses, their mom a steering wheel cover (a crochet project) and myself aTolsta Tee. I have a few (3-4) long term projects as well
I wonder if Thread and Maple make non leather folders for crafty products? I'm veggie. ❤ I love your musings, manderings, thoughts and incredible beautiful knits ❤
Namaste, Helle and friends in the knitting community. Although my preferred projects are quite different from yours, hearing your thoughts and seeing your projects expands my horizons, and I greatly enjoy knitting along with your podcasts.
Excited to see what you’re working on. I love your style and your videos. Much love from the U.S.
Helle, lovely episode. I enjoyed it very much, as I most often do. I really love listening to you externalize your thoughts/musings. I appreciate your insights and philosophizing. I don’t have many people in my life that are able to so eloquently express themselves. As for what I’m knitting, I’m currently working on The Timepiece Cardigan by Ailbione McLachlainn. It would be a perfect match for your Nutiden. Just sayin’. 😊 I’m using some deep stash Noro Cash Iroha in a lovely pastel violet shade. I’m very happy with how it’s knitting up. Have a lovely summer and I’ll see you in your next episode.
I don't know if you noticed, but your AKW yarn and the nutiden yarn went perfectly with the flowers on your table! OMG, I love that gorgeous pink color! Just perfect! You are always inspiring. I love everything you knit! I just finished knitting the Fair Isle Club 9 garment from Marie Wallin -- talk about joy in every way! Colors, fun to knit, everything! Now I'm in that in between mode -- I picked out a few old WIPs to see if I can get any of them finished. Take care!
I very much enjoy your esthetic. Please don't change a thing. And all those pink yarns...!🌸🌸🌸
Helle, what is that bird singing it's heart out at 19:23?
I love listening to everything you have to say in your podcasts. You are much more interesting and thought provoking than the usual knitting vloggers. Thank you.
Thank you so much ❤️ Someone above mentioned hearing a chaffinch in the background, so that could be it? Or maybe a grey tit as we have those too 🤗
Sounds like a blackbird to me! Such a lovely setting ❤
Your finished sweaters are lovely. The colours are ethereal looking. I took note of your "notes" on the pattern, and I do the same thing. I always have a printed pattern with check boxes and keep track of rows. I usually use a yellow sticky note on the pattern so that I don't mess it all up. LOL. Thanks for explaining the Crystal top. I really love it but I don't like doing bottom up at all. I did a cardigan and it turned out too long, but nothing I can do about it or want to do about it. Rosie
Hi, love your podcasts, they always give such a relaxed atmosphere. (I knit, spin and love to draw portraits.) In 2022 I came across these interchangeable knitting needles from Japan you can knit little baby socks and small sleeves with no problem (Seeknit knitting needles from Japan - the 5 cm short needles are ideal) Have a wonderfull Sommer ! Greetings from Holland.
Your stories about awe put a smile on my face. That’s always a good thing! I also have a problem with the prickle factor and have just ordered a yarn that looks fluffy like alpaca but is 100% cotton, brushed. I’m looking forward to trying it, Pasquali Suave.
What a wonderful video, as always. Thank you for sharing your journey. I am currently knitting a Papillon shawl for my mother, the Simple Tee by Churchmouse Yarns for myself, and a pair of socks, broken rib, for my daughter. I usually have a pair of socks or a hat, something small, that I knit on in the car or when going somewhere I need a small, simple project on which to work. Enjoy your summer and I look forward to hearing of your next adventures!!
I love seeing all the beautiful flowers, shrubs, and greenery, so calming and soothing. Gorgeous knits! Absolutely LOVE the AKW Silk yarn, WOW!
Helle---I don't subscribe to many knitting podcasts and you are one of them. I enjoy your discussions and content. I look forward to your postings. Enjoy your summer!
I so much enjoy your content always and am very thankful for it♥I agree, what you said about language and pattern names. I'm actually knitting the Plain Yoke Tee 22, which is right up my knitting horoscope/alley😄
Dear lady, I love your podcast and musings. All the way from Oklahoma, so don’t give up please. Love Victoria Saracen…
I love listening to your podcast. Glad I found you. You are very inspiring.
Oh my that AKW mulberry silk IS unbelievably beautiful!!!
Agree, 3.5 needles are toothpicks! 😂😂😂
Thank you Helle for another lovely episode. I watched it in bits here and there, as I have been so busy lately that I couldn't watch it one go. Regardless, it is always a pleasure spending time with you, listening to your quotes, your musings and hear about your projects and your plans. I love the fact that you bring so many different aspects of yourself and various interests in your podcast 🤍 I always learn something new. You ased what we are knitting - in my case the Kore cardigan by Natasja Hornby (and now I am particularly curious about the meaning of Kore...) it was meant to be my summer cardigan this year, but as I am based in Scotland it will lilely be used next spring/summer as I've only split for the body yesterday. Never mind, let's see how far I can get before it's time for winter patterns. By the way, both of your finished sweaters are gorgeous!
Your finished projects are beautiful as always. Your garden is gorgeous, I love the color palette - pink! Have you seen the summer pattern Suri Shirt. It does seem like your aesthetic. I made one in a beautiful cotton and merino Knitting for Olive in the Aqua colorway and love wearing it. The cotton merino is great for Texas. Thanks for showing off your Thread and Maple needle holder. A few friends have them (in other states) and they love them. I’m thinking I need to investigate this for myself. Hope you have a lovely summer and thanks for the quote - it’s a good one.
My first thought, upon seeing the beautiful AKW silk was "Ample Tee" and I'm so happy you're knitting it as well :)
Enjoy your podcasts. Your roses are amazing. Have a wonderful holiday.
The roses! And your beautiful sweaters and your new pink knit, lovely. Happy summer from western Canada.
Always look forward to your podcast! A Knitter's World yarn and the Needle Binder will probably be on my Christmas list this year! Thanks for sharing!
I subscribe, among other things, both because of „Danish“ and „musings“ - so this was a perfect episode. Thankyou!
And I so hear you on row gauge…
I’d be interested if you find US 9 in 12 inch circular needles. The largest I’ve found is a US 8. Enjoyed the podcast. I hope you continue to post what you want when you want. I’m a little afraid that you’ll get discouraged and not want to podcast. There are very few people who actually discuss their knitting process in enough detail that I can decide if I’m interested in a specific pattern or yarn. Thanks for continuing. Deb in Florida
A very beautiful episode visually - your garden in spring is stunning . Always savor your thoughtful words and enjoy your knitting. I was weaving in ends on my Cloud Sweater in Sandnes Garn Kos - Dutch Blue colorway. I love the results - my first Petite Knit pattern and now I understand why her designs are so popular.
lovely spending some time with you while I’m down with a cold and knitting veery slowly 😌
Aw thanks, hope you’ll feel better soon. Happy (slow) knitting 😌💖
Hello Helle, I was so excited to see a new podcast out and it coincided with a quiet afternoon, paired with my knitting. Your Trellis sweater is so beautiful and I went immediately to Knitters World. Ordered 6 skeins of fluffy. Hoping that is enough for size medium as I found pattern yarn amounts a bit confusing. As an aside, your roses and peonies are magnificent 💕🌸 Gillian in Canada 🇨🇦
If you could film you organizing your needles in the binder. I could benefit from something like this but am afraid it will get too bulky. Thanks. Love your style and vibe!!
Hi Helle love ALL your podcasts as always. I even passed the last one on to my husband - very thought provoking!
I’ve been lusting after that Thread & Maple binder for awhile and I’m glad to see that you now have one. I would love to hear how you are making use of it.
Any trips planned soon? Love your travel casts as well!
Thank you very much for another lovely episode. I've enjoyed all of your podcasts and appreciate the musings. 😊
I absolutely love your podcast and all the different themes you share. You make me happy. May I ask you to add a descriptive walk of your gorgeous garden. Love form Madrid, Spain
Thank you for another relaxing and inspiring podcast! I am loving the pink phase.. and your roses match your yarns💕💕
I received one of those binders from my husband for Christmas last year. Hopefully new pages for my birthday. I have to agree, its is wonderful .
Helle, lovely podcast, as always!😍 Your Crystal sweater is stunning and looks gorgeous on you! Love the color! Barbara
Hi Helle, I really appreciate your comments on yarn and how it feels next to skin, as I have very sensitive skin too and often find even very luxurious and fine yarns irritate my skin. Les Garçons have a fluffy yarn now, which may be similar to the fluffy yarn you talked about in your new sweater. I have picked up a few skeins, which I think I will use in a shawl to test it out. It’s expensive, but will be worth it if I can wear it next to skin. I have one of Thread and Maple’s to go kits and I love it. It goes everywhere with me.
Lovely episode and you have the most amazing songbirds! I would love to know what they are.
And happy to see your lovely roses & peonies again (has it been a year already? 😬
Thank you especially for the sweet story about the children.
Also saying bye to friends who have somehow closed their doors or elicited a negative emotion is a very challenging cascading feeling. Marketing uses statistics to our advantage or disadvantage. I don’t subscribe to channels nevertheless I really enjoy your complex personal and knitting thoughts!
The tone was too quiet for me. But the scene outside is naturally beautiful. Maybe you could use a different microfone when you`re recording outside. 🙂 Love your makes.
Hi Helle, like so many others I love watching your podcast while knitting myself. Look forward to seeing your ample tee. I finished mine this spring and like it a lot. Just wished I had added a few more short rows for a better fit around my neck.
I love your quotes and also some food for thought it is always there. I always save your podcasts for My knitting nights ❤ much love Helle. I think your makes are so gorgeous
Hi Helle, thank you for showing us that beautiful leather needle case, and also the beautiful silk yarn from Knitters World. Its such a treat to find out about high quality products. Beautiful cat too!
I love your ramblings!! The setting is so gorgeous… and, oh, those pink yarns!!💗✨💫
I LoVe your aesthetic! Your hair and complexion look so wonderful with the colors that you choose for your knitted garments.
The birds sounded beautiful, however, with the traffic and wind noise, all of them together made it harder for me to hear you. I'm getting old, hearing is not as good as it use to be. I love hearing the things you talk about and I love your garden. Great projects.
❤Dear Helle! You are my brightest danish musing 🌟❤️🤗
💙💛🙏🏻
Helle, your channel is thoughtful, gentle and filled with things that you love, whether it's a quote, travel, your beautiful knitting or what's inspiring you.. I think the youtube analytics can be helpful but are not a reflection of the value of an episode. It's not personal. People leave an episode for many reasons that have nothing to do with its content. There's a popular quote by Mel Robbins you might find helpful..Let Them. Essentially it talks about people leaving or not including you...let them..then you can decide how you want to move forward. ❤
Oh, love that. Thank you 💞🙏🏻
Helle, as you say musings. When talking to friends we dont practice or act out or orchestrate our conversation (some might😂) Its about what comes to mind to tell the listener/friend, at that particular moment of time. And how it relates to our love of what we do in our craft. ❤
Thank you Helle. Stunning knits as always. I love your musings. Please continue! That pink nutiden is going to look stunning on you. I hope you can wear it
Hi helle! I love your podcasts so thanks! Maybe next time inside because a lot of car, plane, motorcycle and wind noises that make it a little less cozy than usual 😅
Thank you Helle for yet another wonderful episode, full of wisdom speculations and creativity❤ I totally agree with you that many designers don't say what size the model is wearing, because obviously that is the look that caught your eye.
Hello Helle! You are one of my favourite ! Always looking forward to your posts! I wish you a beautiful summer.🧶😎🙏🏻
Beautiful! Thank you for your time vlogging!,,, 🥰👍
Love your musing, knitting and not related, have a wonder-full summer ❤
I’m a huge fan of your work! I always learn so much from you like dancing on a shifting carpet!! Every time I tune in I think, omg I’d love to be RL friends, but alas, I m in the States. If only my Great grandparents stayed in Denmark 🤔 Love your aesthetic!! So inspiring! I also have a channel so I get what you’re saying about people leaving. But I also say yes to authenticity. Come-go, it’s all good!! Namaste 🙏 ❤
🥰🙏🏻🌸😚
Hello Helle, I want to take the time to thank you for your reflective sharing, both technical and personal. I suppose its inevitable that you will be unsettled by negative comments or people leaving your podcast but be true to yourself: what you offer is of tremendous value because you put yourself into it. That is more than enough. Those of us who are drawn to your generous nature really value your generous spirit and, if it's not too bold, count you as a secret friend. Thank you.
Oh I’m so happy to be your secret friend 🥰 Thank you for your comforting words 🙏🏻❤️
Enjoy your vacation. Can't wait to see some videos from your hike.
