    Great amp. Its still tube amp, not like tonex and all the other completely digital stuff. This is
    game changer, you can play gigs with it easily. Euge Valovirta uses it for the gigs, and dude has some of the best amps in his collection, and also has great tones. 👍

    I love mine. I have beat the crap out of mine, and it's still going. In the Fx loop, you can choose serial or parallel, and there is a button on the bottom you can push to bump up or down the DB on the FX Loop. I use a small screwdriver to get to it. But built-in gate you can switch from soft to hard settings, and push in the reverb for it to switch to a soft gate on the fly. Great vid brother.

      Thank you very much for the information. I'm so rusty on this unit lol. I will look into that regarding the effects loop. Much appreciated.

      Fun fact: the effect loop level button was made so you can use a 1/4 inch cable end to push it. But I imagine the screwdriver is more convenient for you. If you ever misplace it just know you’re not out of luck

    @TONEWARS Hey Jarrod Thomas Blug can tone match this amp with a lot of different amps. Would be a cool series of videos to see you shoot it out with your other amps and even try to get close to them tone wise.

      Especially if you think it “lacks some depth,” the tone knobs change the mid structure on each channel in a big way. My personal favorite of late is all the tone knobs full clockwise, aka “it goes to 11” mode. 😂

    I love my AMP1 Iridium! I've gigged with it several times especially when traveling light was more economical. I plug it into a Bogner 2x12 and I can setup/tear down in no time! For the fx loop, do you have it switched to serial? Also, there is a level switch for the fx loop on the underside of the unit, maybe that will give you different results with the loop. @TONEWARS

      @@charleswerneth4284 This amp is more than loud enough in my experience. I haven't cranked a 100 Watt tube amp in years to be honest but used to only play tube amps. I play the iridium half of the time through the BluBox and half of the time through my 2x12 cab. Sounds great in both contexts and plenty of volume. I played a live show going direct through the blubox and it sounded amazing with the band I was playing with.

    • @petheato3291

      @@charleswerneth4284 It is about as loud as a jcm 900 MKIII , and louder than both an engl screamer 50 and PRS MT15. More than loud enough for the shows and practices I play, which is a loud melodic hardcore band. Sits in the mix great, I love the classic channel set up like a boosted marshall.

    Technology has and should be like Bluguitar at this point. Old tube heads are fantastic , even when we arrive at just as good or better technology… people don’t want anything to be better than the old Amps. Even if they are. Funny everyone is chasing that basic one tone of a modded Marshall in many ways. Get a great pedal in front of a Marshall and achieving that tone. But amp builders charging 3,4,5 thousand for an amp is absurd.
    By now like old jets vs new jets in the air so amps technology should arrive as well. Especially having a phone that can do everything at the palm of our hands.
    Can amp1 stand up to the big iron. Absolutely…. Some just don’t want to admit it. Live and in the mix especially no one would every tell the difference. Maybe sitting in your room by yourself tone chasing till your brain is fried you can tell a hair difference. Is it worth 5k ? Lol

    • @Arkadius87
      @Arkadius87 11 месяцев назад

      Its not worth. I look for mesa mark V, but bro the price is insane. 😂
      So as I watched couple of years ago video of Euge Valovirta about the iridium, I was amazed. Guy uses old marshall 2203 from 1984. Its the best amp to him, and truly has great sound, than he plugged in iridium, and you cant tell a difference 😂😂
      So I am looking to buy one, though nowadays you have a lot of digital pedals, but I see this still as a tube amp, or its a hybrid, but definitely its worth buying. Already bought Tokai custom, from 1980's 😁👍

    Any idea how a good distortion pedal would sound going through the Iridium's clean channel? I'm considering getting this not only for its awesome high gain tones but also as a pedal platform for my distortion pedals.

    Euge Valovirta swears by this thing. He runs the "classic" channel with a Boss SD-1 in front of it. ( Because he is trying to replicate that JCM 800 tone. ) Euge is working with Thomas Blug on the new AMP-X. Rumor has it... the AMP-X is still a year away. I prefer the "modern" channel on the Iridium. But honestly, for $350, I'll take a Boss Katana Mk-2 head all day long. The Katana does everything the Iridium can do, plus a lot more since it has built-in effects. Katana is less than half the price of an Iridium. I would take a Super Crush over the Iridium as well. But I would take the Iridium over the 5150 Iconic. ( Or any other expensive tube amp. ) But that's just me.

    • @TheMemagNeman
      @TheMemagNeman 7 месяцев назад

      Katana is a digital amp and can't never match the feel of Amp1 or a tube amp (even if sound quality is matched , BUT digital is mostly harsh in treble).
      My experiences in live situations are these :
      people who see Katana on stage usually frown,
      people who played AMP1 on stage are usually quite impressed with it (although they don't understand it's an actual amp not a modeler pedal).
      For the price ,sure, Katana all the way, since you can't get Amp1 for that money anyways.
      It depends on the budget , user, and usage of the gear ofc.

    • @TheCyberMantis
      @TheCyberMantis 7 месяцев назад +1

      @@TheMemagNeman What you said is true. All this stuff really depends on your budget, and what you are going to do with it. Katana can sound good, but you really have to work at it. It's easier to get a good tone with a tube amp. Katana head is $299 now. It's worth getting just to practice with at home.

    • @bengirard1984
      @bengirard1984 Год назад

      I had both. Iridium is way better imho so I use my Line 6 pod go or Headrush MX5 now for effects only. It sounds great a high volume and it’s super versatile. It’s weights like 2 pounds so with the MX5 I can literally put both in my backpack and be good to go haha I can’t wait for the AmpX to finally come out so I’ll have everything in one amp pedal, only needing one guitar cable and one speaker cable for a cab or foh and that’s it! :) I highly recommend the Iridium if you can get one used at least to try it.

      I've had everything, Axe FX III, Kemper, Quad Cortex, I now use the Iridium and it beats all of the digital stuff! The main difference is how it feels. I use it with a HX FX, everything connected with MIDI, it gives you the easy preset switching of the digital world combined with a genuine and responsive amp sound.
