You can't just write a link in your caption for people to click on in Instagram - so we've gotta be clever!
Here are the 2 ways you can create clickable links in your Instagram.
1. Via link stickers in your stories
2. Directing people to click on the "link in my bio"

Hey Paula! Yes sorry about that - it was NOT intentional :) We had a setting wrong in the camera that wasn't picked up until it was too late. It's not my new thing 😅 All future videos will be back to nice static lights.

This was very helpful. Thank you. One question, when adding the link sticker to a story, why can't the background color of the customized sticker background cannot be changed from white to a different color when the text is all in Capital letter, and even though I write the customized text in all capitals when setting up the sticker link, why does it show as lower case? What am I doing wrong?
What if I don't see that link sticker anywhere in stickers? It's really not there!

Hey Bobbie! Stickers are ONLY available for Instagram STORIES, not posts. Gif posts, you’ll have to direct people to the link in your bio

Great question! I thinkkkk it carries across to FB stories too :) Link in bio doesn't exist on Facebook so you'll set that up separately in FB. But Facebook captions themselves can have links so it's less needed.
Can you show how to add their username in your post. Example @username like when it's towards the end of there captions

This was really helpful. I added a link sticker to my story, but I am not able to change the color of the color of the sticker to other than white when all the text is on Capitals. Only when the text is in lower case. Do you know why would that be?
Hmm I haven’t heard of that happening before. You could try updating the app - the link sticker function has changed a little recently for me.

Hi I’m going crazy here pls if u could help ❤. I’m wanting to create an insta add from a story with a link but it won’t let me cause it’s a sticker (but I see many other advertisers that have that just like u showed). If I create the story and select a link to appear and paste it in the add creation, then it doesn’t on the ad. 😢

does this link setup only work on mobile devices and not desktop PC? I do not see the smiley face sticker.
Instagram is definitely a mobile priority program so I’d say you’ll have to use mobile not PC :)

how do you set up asking for an email when they go to click your link in instagram ??
Usually you’d do this through an opt-in. This is often done by a third party program (usually your CRM) that has a landing page where they input their email address in return for something.

How can you use the link stick when creating on PC?
Instagram is first and formost a mobile app so it’s not optimised to create on computer. I’m not 100% sure if possible or not.

How come I don't even have the "link" sticker? I have a small number of stickers, and when I search it on the top, it shows all sorts of images of links like a chain, but no actual "link" sticker.

Sometimes Instagram has things only available to some accounts. But I hadn’t heard of that happening with link stickers.
Can this only be done using a smart phone? I've not got one and I'm trying to do it on a desktop.
I believe so. You can't do much on Instagram without a phone. You might be able to try the Meta Business Suite on desktop - but I haven't personally used it for Instagram story links to know.

Nope sorry! Stories don’t have frames for us to work with. You can have multiple stories though so I would recommend adding the link to the second story :) works a charm.

That’ll usually be done via an ad. So you’ll need to create an ad using the meta ad suite :)

You can absolutely use hashtags! They won’t help you link URLs outside of Instagram though :)

Instagram is a mobile focussed app. It’s desktop features are very limited unfortunately.

The interface has updated slightly but there’s still a link sticker that works in the same way :)

I’ve never heard of that happening.. and I’ve used some pretty long links! Even so, perhaps try a something like bitly.com to shorten it :)

Are you referring to when a post asks you to comment a certain word, and when you do, you get a message with the link? :)
This is called a ManyChat Funnel (manychat is a program you can automate messages based on key words). For those bigger in business and have the time and budget, this is a VERY effective tool.

@Bichisaidwhatisaid Manychat is a website platform (Google it and it'll pop up). I do believe it has a free version.
Or, even for myself so far - I just do this manually. I have a keyword on my posts and if someone comments it I just MANUALLY send them a message with the details they need. Example: instagram.com/p/C2b7ruEvxtD/

Hey there! Sorry that you found it a bit quick. Talking fast is a struggle I've had my entire life and one I'm learning I just have to embrace. I hope that you can still understand me. If not, some people use the speed feature to slow me down a little. The lights were so frustrating, a setting mucked up on my camera - this is the only video with this issue.
