Sewing over 50 years and I never knew this. Thanks for sharing Lori.

Oh, Lori! What an amazing tip! I’ve always sewn two rows of gathers but much closer together, so my gathers never looked as professional as yours. (I thought the purpose of the two rows was only to give more strength as you pull on the bobbin threads, and I sewed the seam under the bottom row.) Where was I last September that I never watched these? I’m going through the whole list now. Thank you.

Hi Lori! Loving your Sewtember series! This technique is how I was taught to gather. Thanks for today's lesson!

Since you said to sew your actual seam line between the 2 gathering lines, do we just remove the bottom row of gathering stitches after stotching the seam?
    This is GREAT.

A bit different way to sew gathers - thank you for a great technique demonstration!
