    One correction: The 4l V6 is acrually an inline 6. Good video though

    This gen of Grand Cherokee has to be my favorite.

      Mine too. My dad used to have this generation of Grand Cherokee when I was a kid - a 2002 WJ Limited 4.7 V8 - and it had some of the most comfortable seats of any car I'd ever sat in. However, I use the term 'car' loosely here, since it was actually closer to a giant sofa with a big engine and four wheels attached to it.
      I remember when we went to pick it up back in July 2010, and from the moment 10-year-old me sat in it for the first time, I was in heaven as the seats were just oh-so-comfy, and I felt myself almost sinking into them with just how soft and comfortable they were, they were more like big comfy armchairs than actual seats! 👌

    I have one WJ, 1999, 4,0, with 61.000 miles on it. In perfect condition. Use it on open road, it’s not for city ride. For city I have small car. I like the shape of WJ, it was the time when one can distinguish cars by the shape. Nowadays, more-less majority of cars are copy-paste

    Learned to do mechanic work on this model, CV axel replacement, rear axel seal replacement, radiator and water pump replacement, etc. Turned in the tags and the next week I had a knock on the door, sold it to a young man for $500. 186,000 miles.

    I have one, identical to this one, but it's kind of the base model, but it has wood grain, just a basic rear wheel drive 4.0 i6, my family love/hates, but I like it. They really do not make things like they used to.

    I have one as my daily driver for work the main issues with these are the gas tank cover that holds the gas tank in partly you’ll have to replace that for sure the shocks go but it’s not an issue really the back door hatch is sure to be broke and need a screw driver to open the window controls usually need required other than that if you keep oil in it it’ll be fine honestly it’s the worst year I6 but it’s still an I6 it will last forever but the transmissions like to break after 150k in these lol it’s 50/50 but yeah it’s not horrible my mom had a 99 and I have an 01 just because it was cheap I would rather have a Chevy or ford anyway that’s my experience

    I'm the guy that left the phone number 4012 the last four and I forgot to mention about the seeds you said the seats are comfortable the seats are garbage I'm planning to put $700 a piece seats in the front so they're sold at quadratec out of West Chester Pennsylvania it's a Jeep place parts all they sell is jeep parts they sell a lot more for xjs and primarily they sell Wrangler parts you can get everything to rebuild a Wrangler from the store I recommend this store highly the people are nice the parts are good I've never had a problem with any parts and they give pretty good warranties that's quadratec out of Pennsylvania but back to the seats the seats are garbage they're uncomfortable the driver seats right by your kidneys on the right side is a piece of metal there that jams in your side I don't know how big your frame is but I'm pretty muscular dude and a little bit on the heavier side like 230 lbs I guess if you like pieces of metal jamming in your side you think they're comfortable but I don't think they're comfortable I do love the material because the leather they made of that time for now being 2024 the weather would be all cracked up and junk I don't agree with the moon roof cuz they always leak and something that's over 20 years old and if you go four-wheeling and the body's flexing and changing and moving a moonroof sunroof whatever the hell you want to call it isgarbage I would replace the seats as soon as possible the seats in any vehicle unless it's a German automobile the seats are like Yard furniture they're junk they barely have any foam in them but I do like the cloth you are right and if you don't stress too much about metal frame digging in your back I guess you might like the seats I don't I wish I could take my dad's 1968 280 s Mercedes seats out cuz it had pleather in it and put that in my WJ and then that would be awesome cuz they got the crank crank seat adjustment and they sell those at quadratec out of Pennsylvania check them out they're worth the 1400 dollar's makes them a little high but they are nice 😊

    How do you compare this jeep to a 3rd gen 4runner when it comes to reliability? I’m planning to buy a jeep like this for weekends and some fun but don’t really wish to be constantly repairing things

    • @HondaAccordguy05
      @HondaAccordguy05  4 месяца назад

      The 4L Straight 6 engine is the way to go. The 4.7s are less reliable and less desirable. The 4.0L is pretty much built proof! The frame rust and timing belt service are the big achilles heels of the 4Runner. Grand Cherokee’s rust as well but it’s not as bad as the 4Runners. Personally I think both are very good options.
