The Karnstein build is meant to utilize more finishers and melee kills (do not have to be powered) to proc resto x2 and cure x3... Basically a get out of jail free card. You can 2 phase the ogre if you are able to proc sunbracers on all 4 totems simultaneously using dbreath/fusion- I used Nox perennial. Final boss you can extend resto x2 and proc sunbracers on taken eyes if you are careful and cook the boss.
Just a touch of incinerator snap and heat rises Phoenix dive = ignition. And if you're running sun bracers, the ignition from that combo counts as a melee kill. So not only do you get instant extended restoration x2, you also proc sunbracers
Why run healing grenade with Karnstein’s?? Get melee kills for Resto 1x and Finishers for Resto x2 that’s where the heat rises should come in handy. Getting kills while in air to keep melee energy full. You can also run Dawnblade instead of Well if you want a lil more DPS. BUt you can def add more damage and play more Agressive if you lean into the Melee’s and finishers to keep the Resto going.
The big error here with the Warlock build was going solar in the first place. Karnsteins grants restoration on any subclass. Strand being the fairly obvious choice here. The melee range is borderline infinite and you get three. Cure and resto on demand. Then - add a glaive. Every melee kill prolongs or gives you resto and kicks in a cure 2x. And then, take that glaive and make it Vexcalibur. Now you have void overshields. But that's not all, now make sure every orb you pick up gets you the strand overshield too... plus you can suspend every damn thing. As for Heat Rises, it's the only choice for PvE between that and Icarus. Icarus dash is just a feel-good movement choice, and it's strong in PvP. In PvE, heat rises gives you melee back so fast it's not even funny. You don't even have to proc Heat Rises, you can just bunny hop into the air and any damage you're doing - like from grenades - just fills your melee immediately.
Its a little odd no one ever talks about making the jump mistake a repeatable action. It happens all the time on hunter. If someone has made a video about how to avoid doing that im unaware.
Only a Titan main wouldn't understand the intricacies and delights of Heat Rises. Nearly 100% uptime on melee and Restoration, especially with Karnsteins, is what it brings to the table. It's what makes the Sunbracers build so much more potent Edit: Up until the year of Lightfall, I was a Warlock main (especially when Starfire was meta). Sunbracers was so potent that it made the game easy and boring, and I've slowly began shifting to be a Hunter main, mostly for the movement. Could just swap Heat Rises with Icarus Dash, but it makes all the builds feel incomplete
Cross you're not seeing a lot of Titan builds cause 1. We don't have a lot going on right now that's either new or hasn't been fuckin NUKED by Bungo, 2. You forget we are a minority in the class population compared to the other 2 classes.
i already have my own Karnstein build, and yes, it’s not as much damage as the Hunters or Titans, but survivability is definitely there. once we get the new Solar Super in Final Shape, the damage will go up. (also solar souls will be extra damage too)
Calis mini tool if you can control the recoil a little bit is a MUST have for the final boss room if you want to rock Dragons breath or any other exotic
The Hunter build was really solid… warlock one was redundant since you can do better by using Phoenix Protocol or Sunbracers. No better infinite healing than having infinite supers or having everything dead.
i feel like the first build with all the survivability would possibly be better with the same scatter signal with controlled burst n overflow paired with bait switch apex predator perhaps, then you could actually sunshot aswell
I believe you should use same weapons for both builds the winning build you had sunshot and assassin you had a legendary gun so it’s hard to compare but I will say assassin invisibility it’s better
@@theleviathan2627you dont even need it, just do a finisher and get resto x2, i run fusion grenade and swaped to apotheosis veil for damage, easy 2 phase in the final boss.
The hunter build was very similar to what I used for my solo flawless. I'm confused by Cross's use of Dragon's Breath. If you fire it once, you switch to the fusion until you hear a second ignition (usually about three shots) and then switch back to DB and fire again. You can put out a lot more damage than what he was doing.
Weavewalk drains melee energy way too quickly to use it exclusively for that. Weavewalk to me has always been more of a reposition tool and Threadling generator in one rather than invis, but on Warlock
@@andreymavian3400 not really, it only takes like 6 seconds to do the totem and that is barely more than a melees charge timer. You also don't always have to do each totem, it is just really nice if you are getting a ton of heat. Your melee recharges pretty fast when you have multiple charges and you use thread of fury.
Love the content, keep up the Great work you do Aztec!!! I also like the shards of galanor build as you can get atleast 2 to 3 supers especially on 2nd encounter!!!
Gotta use DB correctly. Bunny hop kills to get your melee back quicker with heat rises in-between each plate on the ogre. The ogre is an easy 3 phase even while using karnstein. Also always get resto x2
I just recently made a karnstein build on my solar warlock and it runs awesome - way better than this showing. This persons build was filled with wack choices though - healing grenade is absolutely not needed and embers of wonder and char are pretty unnecessary also. Ember of searing gives tons of bonus melee energy and near constant firesprites. Fusion nade should be up regularly and does plenty of damage. Also, if heat rises is active, you can use Phoenix dive to extend your resto X2 out to 8 seconds instead of the normal 3 it gives if you have it active already (free with any execution from Karnstein). I normally use ember of ashes in the other slot for easier ignitions but dealers choice honestly.
So heat rises gives you a crap ton of melee energy when you kill scorched enemies, even if you don't eat a grenade. You don't really have to even be In the air, just a quick jump before the ignite is enough.
Best part is with that hunter build you can run shards of galanor instead of assassins cowl and have your super even more often because you’ll guarantee yourself 50% from your super after use, then it’s a few knife kills boom another super.
As a warlock that mains both solar and strand builds. Why would you EVER use karnsteins on solar?! If you're going for survivability, use it on strand! And grab vexcaliber! You'll have woven mail, restoration AND overshields all at once! And best of all, you'll have amazing adclear and a huge amount of damage. I said the same on many other warlock builds. they just grab a good exotic, and mash it together with any build. I hated it especially when it was used on stasis. A subclass that focuses on RANGED attacks. And then you combine it with a melee exotic, I just don't get what some of those other warlocks are doing sometimes. Solar builds should be all about either the well, going pure support in a 6-man team. Or focus more on damage with grenades. good solar builds are limited, and almost all of them will use sunbracers. If you use something else, you're just trying to hold on to that well, but really you should be using a different subclass.

Just a touch of incinerator snap and heat rises Phoenix dive = ignition. And if you're running sun bracers, the ignition from that combo counts as a melee kill. So not only do you get instant extended restoration x2, you also proc sunbracers
@@kassaken6521 I see so many people run sunbracers with healing rift and think “you’re missing out”
Why run healing grenade with Karnstein’s??
I never thought to come the day hear that such a feeling down Ya!!
Its a little odd no one ever talks about making the jump mistake a repeatable action. It happens all the time on hunter. If someone has made a video about how to avoid doing that im unaware.
I use the same hunter build, but use Malfeasance instead (yes, without lucky pants and it's still great).
Only a Titan main wouldn't understand the intricacies and delights of Heat Rises. Nearly 100% uptime on melee and Restoration, especially with Karnsteins, is what it brings to the table. It's what makes the Sunbracers build so much more potent
Edit: Up until the year of Lightfall, I was a Warlock main (especially when Starfire was meta). Sunbracers was so potent that it made the game easy and boring, and I've slowly began shifting to be a Hunter main, mostly for the movement. Could just swap Heat Rises with Icarus Dash, but it makes all the builds feel incomplete
Cross, I hope you know that Chill Clip doesnt work on the bottom half of the magazine.
(also solar souls will be extra damage too)
Im gonna start using that solar hunter build. I love assassins cowl on arc but idk why I never thought to try it on something else.
Calis mini tool if you can control the recoil a little bit is a MUST have for the final boss room if you want to rock Dragons breath or any other exotic
BUILD BATTLES BACK BABY!!!! 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
The editing with this music is fire 🤌
The Hunter build was really solid… warlock one was redundant since you can do better by using Phoenix Protocol or Sunbracers.
No better infinite healing than having infinite supers or having everything dead.
i feel like the first build with all the survivability would possibly be better with the same scatter signal with controlled burst n overflow paired with bait switch apex predator perhaps, then you could actually sunshot aswell
Nooo man that warlock embarrassed us. I gotta step up now.
I believe you should use same weapons for both builds the winning build you had sunshot and assassin you had a legendary gun so it’s hard to compare but I will say assassin invisibility it’s better
I’ve switched from solar HC to BXR with demo/Incan for this dungeon and it seems to work better
Healing grenade with karnsteins is wild
You're supposed to eat it. Not throw it like cross did because it lets your dive grant you restoration x2 which carnsteins can extend
@@theleviathan2627you dont even need it, just do a finisher and get resto x2, i run fusion grenade and swaped to apotheosis veil for damage, easy 2 phase in the final boss.
Icarus dash would be throwing for this warlock build because with heat rises, kills in the air will give you melee energy
Sunshot is the GOAT. My sun is a beast. :')
Also Argent ordinance should be replaced with rays of precision for free ignitions and add clear.
One trick to warlords ruin is actually using weavewalk. You can activate the totems while using weavewalk and you won’t be attacked.
Shaxx and Mara doing the hanky panky in the dungeon is crazy
I love Assassins Cowl.
I use it on Strand with the Grapple Melee
The Warlock drip bash coming from a Warlock main is CRAAAAAAZY
I never use Karnstien without running my grave robber /swashbuckler custom Lubrae's Ruin. Lets you play very aggressively against all sorts of adds.
Gotta use DB correctly. Bunny hop kills to get your melee back quicker with heat rises in-between each plate on the ogre. The ogre is an easy 3 phase even while using karnstein. Also always get resto x2
2nd encounter left side is harder to get the relics activated. Do right, makes it so easy.
I think karensteins can be better if built properly, however I think you had a bunch of warlock mains in chat on this one.
Used Pre Astynax Bow Buzzard w/ KT and DB for every phase
I just recently made a karnstein build on my solar warlock and it runs awesome - way better than this showing. This persons build was filled with wack choices though - healing grenade is absolutely not needed and embers of wonder and char are pretty unnecessary also. Ember of searing gives tons of bonus melee energy and near constant firesprites. Fusion nade should be up regularly and does plenty of damage. Also, if heat rises is active, you can use Phoenix dive to extend your resto X2 out to 8 seconds instead of the normal 3 it gives if you have it active already (free with any execution from Karnstein). I normally use ember of ashes in the other slot for easier ignitions but dealers choice honestly.
bro the ya at the end was so energy-less lol. also u had a lot of warlocks in ur chat clearly lol.
So heat rises gives you a crap ton of melee energy when you kill scorched enemies, even if you don't eat a grenade. You don't really have to even be In the air, just a quick jump before the ignite is enough.
Healing nade should be eaten to proc heat rises, then you jump when using snap, then use you hand cannon for easy melee recharge.
Absolute fire editing, well done
Curious to try the celestial swap with the hunter build he was talking about
The "good Ole 20 phase" got me 😂
Best part is with that hunter build you can run shards of galanor instead of assassins cowl and have your super even more often because you’ll guarantee yourself 50% from your super after use, then it’s a few knife kills boom another super.
that changes the entire point of the build...
may have to try that hunter build.I havnt solo'd yet for gr 11.
The sad "Yaah." at the end lol
This is one of the closest build battle results since I think the first one lol
I run a similar build but with izanagi/epochal/cataclysmic for last boss. Usually can 2 phase.
Lmao heat rises is the best aspect in the game. Restoration x2 with phoenix dive makes having a class ability as a warlock actually mean something
I will not take this Warlock slander. This warlock build does not speak for the rest of us.
Anyone know what hc he was using? The sound a lone makes me want it more but the dps didnt look bad either for an energy
