To be completely honest, I beat Hodgkin’s Lymphoma cancer a few years ago. I got the all clear that I was in remission and my oncologist did a pretty big panel of different tests, just to see what the chemo had already affected. My testosterone was low so I started having to give myself Testosterone shots in the upper thigh muscle. After about 8-10 months of doing it every week (1-2 times a week, depending on how fatigued I was) I can say without a doubt that everything was “bigger.” Muscle tone, testicles, penis, and all of my hair had grown back. The weirdest thing though was that it grew back dark dark brown (I had super blonde hair before I had cancer) and it was really wavy (it was completely straight before cancer, not a single little curl or cowlick anywhere). I stayed on testosterone for about another 6 months and everything has stayed the same as it was while I was on testosterone. Now I just have to do mild exercise and I get to keep the benefits! But in the end, it was not worth it because it took cancer to get there. I’m only in my 30’s, and it was just a horrible experience. At least there were a couple benefits after though!

And there’s a couple (at least) ways to get testosterone in your system. They have, or at least HAD, transdermal patches, the serum (using it intramuscularly) and there was also a gel form too. I’m not too familiar with that method, but I was told that it was the least effective. I believe it was called “Androgel.” It’s a bit rough giving yourself an injection in your upper thigh, because you do it on top of your thigh, or at least I had to. And it was a SUPER thick liquid so you had to push the liquid in the muscle very very slow. It took about 60-90 seconds to deliver just 2ccs of it. I have no trouble really whatsoever with getting blood drawn or needles or blood, but this syringe was 14 or 16 gauge which is a fairly thick needle, and it was 1.5 inches long and I had to push it all the way into my thigh. It was at least 1.4 inches deep that’s for sure. So I kinda counted down and just shoved it in and kept breathing as evenly as I could. It was still not a fun experience that’s for certain! Apologize for the novel, but I appreciate it when I get as much information about something I’ve wondered about and I hope this helps you!

In my experience I think Chuck is slightly mistaken here, it's not the steroids that make your penis grow, the corpse must of been taking hgh (human growth hormone) aswell/instead. The reason is, we are all started off as female, but it's the androgens that drive change into male characteristics. There's no hormone that drives characteristics toward female qualities, rather, it's the absence of certain hormones (androgens) that causes it. That's also why some men have more feminine characteristics; lower androgen levels (this obviously doesn't account for the huge role genetics also plays in features)

In sexually dimorphic animals, like us, or deer, the males are only different from females for sexual competition--the females of sexually dimorphic animals are usually the ideal, most efficient version of that animal. So it would make sense that female characteristics are the default and anything that distinguishes males is an extra feature meant to help fight other males of the same species. Like how deer grow big necks and horns every mating season to compete for mates. Unnecessary except for that specific benefit.

There's plenty of drugs for increasing female body development like breast size. You just dont hear about them much because they arent crazy effective like steroids for male body development, however they also dont have crazy side effects either. My girlfriend takes this drug to increase her breast size because shes self conscious about it and its pretty benign as a substance. Best comparison would be that of a dietary supplement. Its probably a good thing a more effective yet detrimental drug for that type of development doesn't exist because I'm sure it would be an epidemic of use amongst females. Haven't met a single woman under the age of 40 that doesnt want larger breast's, all while being prepared to spend 10's of thousands of dollars just to go up sometimes only a single cup size.
Honestly, I don't get this idea that large breasts are better. Sure I don't want a flat chested woman but that's an extreme case. For them I get it but having small breasts doesn't mean they are less attractive. For me it's all about curves, again not all women have that but that's just my personal subjective view on beauty.

The reason is, we are all started off as female, but it's the androgens that drive change into male characteristics. There's no hormone that drives characteristics toward female qualities, rather, it's the absence of certain hormones (androgens) that causes it. That's also why some men have more feminine characteristics; lower androgen levels (this obviously doesn't account for the huge role genetics also plays in features)
Interesting. In sexually dimorphic animals, like us, or deer, the males are only different from females for sexual competition--the females of sexually dimorphic animals are usually the ideal, most efficient version of that animal. So it would make sense that female characteristics are the default and anything that distinguishes males is an extra feature meant to help fight other males of the same species. Like how deer grow big necks and horns every mating season to compete for mates. Unnecessary except for that specific benefit.

There's plenty of drugs for increasing female body development like breast size. You just dont hear about them much because they arent crazy effective like steroids for male body development, however they also dont have crazy side effects either. My girlfriend takes this drug to increase her breast size because shes self conscious about it and its pretty benign as a substance. Best comparison would be that of a dietary supplement. Its probably a good thing a more effective yet detrimental drug for that type of development doesn't exist because I'm sure it would be an epidemic of use amongst females. Haven't met a single woman under the age of 40 that doesnt want larger breast's, all while being prepared to spend 10's of thousands of dollars just to go up sometimes only a single cup size.
Honestly, I don't get this idea that large breasts are better. Sure I don't want a flat chested woman but that's an extreme case. For them I get it but having small breasts doesn't mean they are less attractive. For me it's all about curves, again not all women have that but that's just my personal subjective view on beauty.

In my opinion her feeling self conscious about it is problably because we've been fed this idea through culture that the ideal attractive woman, must have large or above avergae attributes. It's the same reason as men we might see a more masculine male or a super fit male and want that for ourselves. Its my personal opinion that we as men while we are a little more competitive then wemon. things like vanity matter alittle less to us, then to females. Given that its something we as men don't care about in the same way, it leads us to not understand the lengths a woman will go to, to just look "better". But I think for men our general ideal woman would be curvy and thats definatly apart of this equation of wemon wanting to fit that idea, men have of them to be more desirable. Just like we as men generally want to be taller and more fit to be more desirable to wemon. I think regardless a lot of it is culture. In places like africa a woman is considered more attractive, the more morbidly obese she is. It means something different then in our culture.
