Thanks Tom . One of the first ducks I’ve ever carved when I was young. My Mom was my biggest fan and I put it in in her casket when she passed. You brought back some great memories. Now I’m ready to do another green winged teal. One of my favorites . With tears rolling down my face; thank you so much. Love your videos.
That is very humbling Richard. Thanks for sharing your story about your mom. You are most welcome and glad you are going to carve another GWT. Best regards.
I was working on a bill last night and like you said, I got one side of the nostrils too high. But I am going to go back and redo the nostril like you showed us. You have the hands of a surgeon. When you paint and carve, your hands are STEADY. Thank you for showing us once again how to set the eyes and carve those bills. They are tough. I am going to try that water based two part epoxy too. Seems like it will be easier to set eyes with that instead of plastic wood. Bruce Brandeberry

Thanks for your comments!
Now I can at least try to carve all the details on the bill. I’d better try it on a bigger bird though. 😂 thank you TC. 🙏🏻
I know! After working on those big magnum canvasbacks this bird feels very small. 😁
