  • After using the Stagepas 1k for close to 3 years, I have some thoughts.
Must see it for those looking to buy one.

Brilliant review great information thanks. I'm thinking of getting 2 so I would expect it to cater for small weddings?

How do you connect your external mixer and then use another speaker with it. I am using the stagepass 1k and the yamaha dxr12 along with it. However I seem to be getting all my sound out of the dxr12 when I link it with the stagepass using the stereo Jack's on the stagepass. Would I be better to use the mointor output for the second speaker??

Did you tried Stagepas 1K MKII version? Its actually even much better then original MKI version you probably have and also louder (25db). Actually Evole 50m is slightly better at middle and highs, also in lows but it cost double the price. For actual Yamaha MK II price its probably best column system in world. Regarding sound quality I tried and compared 9 column systems and I believe Evolve 50 sounds best, Yamaha is second best. If I consider price, Yamaha is at first place as quality/accessories/mixer vs. price ratio is really far unbeatable with Yamaha by any other brand

What about linking 2 of them ;have you tried that ? I am currently touring and decided to get one and it’s unbelievable and I have had 2 Bose L1 systems but the Yamaha is easy to transport with the dolce etc ..am considering getting another for a stereo set up and more head room

yes, they designed the 2 to connect with an XLT
Underneath the monitor xlr there is a straight out.
Just keel levels low and turn it up on the slave to avoid loud signal coming though,
They've also released the DXL1K, it doesn't have the fancy DSP at the back and is about 30% cheaper with the same power output. good luck

If you worry about the 119db then buy another one, even 123db single tops are not enough to rock 100people. I use Two JBL Eon One array which everyone imitates and I use it to 150 Pax people indoor and 100 Pax outdoor and it's better than my Tops that only throw mids and highs.
