I have been avoiding this video for a while because I didn't want to upset people - I just wanted everyone to know that this video is lighthearted and not mean't to actually attack someone's favorite track. I hope y'all enjoy and thanks for watching!
I feel like Yoshi Valley has a really good concept, but the execution is lacking. The idea of multiple completely different paths one track is really cool but once you find out which one is the fastest, there’s no reason to take any other ones and the track just gives up on its whole concept like halfway through
That's why the N64 version is better, the fastest track is still painfully obvious but at least you couldn't see the scoreboard so you didn't exactly know. It also pushed you to drive your absolute best because you didn't know your placement. It would be good if they remade yoshi valley but either reworked the tracks so it's not easy to tell which are fastest or just not have a significant fastest, or keep the layout the same but have some sort of downside to picking the fastest tracks (like the shortcut is just off road so you NEED a mushroom)
This is mostly but not entirely true. If you’re frontrunning absolutely. But the alternate routes have both more, and less contested, coins making them useful if you’re bagging or need higher top speed. The cannon route is especially potent for bagging since it’s very slow and gives an extra item box almost guaranteeing a good pull from either it or the set after the routes converge. (Talking about the 8 remake though these don’t necessarily apply to the original). I agree the execution could have been way better though
Water park is so annoying because it had so much potential. You could’ve started in a hotel, and then raced to the park while going around pools and then ending it off by going down a giant waterslide but no. We got the most basic bitch track ever💀
It also has one of in not THE track with the lamest name. Like couldn’t they think of a better name like “Noki Park” or maybe take the ferris wheel theme and make it Wario themed and call it “Wario Park” or something.
Whenever I went to my friend's house back in the day and played Mario kart 8, I hated this track because the sense of chaos was gone. Note he had the wiiu version, so the player icon for first place always had a crown on it. Deluxe on the switch removed this feature, and now I love it again.
Just watched this back and I apologize for forgetting to run audio tests - the audio is not consistent throughout the video and will be better next time!
1:37 4yo me agrees. The porcupine monsters were just as horrifying as a swarm of bees, so I chose the slowest path. But then I played it again on the switch online virtual console, & I was like: “I’m not afraid anymore! (Wario stadium is more boring)
8:45 They also excluded the interaction with the Shy Guys out there on the course completely. This was a once-in-the-series mechanic they just got completely rid of.
I guess I’m just on the wrong side of history for this one, but I really like the original Yoshi Valley and I can’t stand the MK8 remake. You need to remember that this track is in the Special Cup, meaning it’s supposed to be difficult. The road being narrow also discourages you from taking the fastest path every single time because it’s hell if you fall off. Combined with 64’s slippery controls, and the track ends up being a real challenge to stay on, which adds to my enjoyment of it. My main issue with 8’s rendition is that’s it’s so painfully easy to take the fastest path, essentially turning the layout into a mirrored Sunset Wilds, discouraging everyone from taking an alternate path
As a Mario Kart super circuit enjoyer myself, i can confirm that yoshi desert is a complete skill issue On the other hand... Bowser Castle 1 is mid af and the fact that it was the ONLY sc representation on MK7 is just idiotic
As much as I hate Baby Park and really despise it, it isn't my absolute worst track of all time though it is in my Top 5 for sure. It's just so chaotic and not even fun at all and I absolutely HATE the bagging on this track. Really not even a bit enjoyable...
**Picks Sherbert Land for Double Dash** Me, a DK Mountain enjoyer: **Lowers shotgun.** But jokes aside you make good points on these tracks. If I had Mario Kart 64 and I fell off Yoshi Valley I would throw the game into the garbage lmao
I'm sorry, but you lost me at Sherbet Land being the worst Double Dash track lol. I love that track, whether its the original version, or the 8 version. Personally, its not a hard track for me. You just gotta be careful about your steering. However, I do agree with you that those freezies are not innocent at all lol.
excitebike arena is lucky that sky high sundae is in the same game as it because for the former, I hated the track ever since its existence and even more so now due to it being overpicked online. Still both are lame oval tracks where it's probably more fun to play roulette in a casino because at least you have a chance to win something.
My picks (barring circuits) are: SNES: Vanilla Lake 2 N64: Either Frappe Snowland or Toad’s Turnpike, I can’t decide GBA: Snow Land GC: Sherbet Land DS Nitro: Yoshi Falls DS Retro: SNES Koopa Beach 2 Wii Nitro: Moo Moo Meadows Wii Retro: DS Yoshi Falls again 3DS Nitro: Rosalina’s Ice World 3DS Retro: GBA Bowser Castle 1 Wii U Nitro: Bone-Dry Dunes Wii U Retro: N64 Toad’s Turnpike Wii U DLC: Excitebike Arena Tour: Tokyo Blur BCP: GBA Sunset Wilds
Here are my changes. 1. Choco Island 2 for SNES. At the very least, Bowser's Castle 2 has a good song and the troll path can be crossed by a feather. 2. Rainbow Road for N64. I know the song and visuals are great, but why is the track 6 MINUTES LONG? Also, Wario's face is great track design. 3. Snow Land for GBA. Seriously, why does the screen shake. For some people it's fine, but for me, it gives me an absolute headache. It's like the Virtual Boy put into a Mario Kart track. 4. No changes for GCN. 5. No changes for DS. 6. I guess Moo Moo Meadows for Wii? I don't think N64 DK Jungle Parkway was a bad remake, and there aren't any butchered remakes, so Moo Moo Meadows goes there. Just goes to show how insane Wii's quality was with tracks. 7. Never played Mario Kart 7, so no changes. I pretty much agree with the rest.
The _only_ thing that bugs me about Neo Bowser City is the fact that the glider ramp is literally only there for the shortcut with the fan. If you don't go for that shortcut, then getting hit on the glider makes no difference to your position. Other tracks are like this as well, so it's not like Neo Bowser City is the only track with this problem. Gliders that exist for the _sole_ purpose of a shortcut or alternate route should be *optional,* not *forced.* A track that does this well? *CHEEP CHEEP LAGOON*
don't put 8's version of Baby Park in the thumbnail only to then have a different track take that spot in the video itself. it's clickbaity and it makes me think you're scared that people will get angry for not liking 8's version of Baby Park. i hate it when RUclipsrs do this stuff, i literally knew you were gonna do it too since i skipped forward just to see if 8 Baby Park was actually the one you picked in the video.
You are misrepresenting Tokyo Blur. The track does also have multiple shortcuts where you boost through the bushes onto the sidewalk and the whole track looks much more lively in Tour. All of the criticisms you gave are exclusive to the bcp “remake”, which shouldn't be the basis of your opinion when talking about the worst track in TOUR. Not to mention that the remake doesn't even use the Tokyo Blur 4 route, which is by far the best variation of the track. Great video though, I liked it. ❤
When I found out the Nintendo Switch version had 7 laps for GCN Baby Park, the DS version (released in 2005) had 5 laps and it is definitely the first worst track of all time. No other track beats that mark.
The worst ones in every game for me: super mario kart : bowser castle 2, mario kart 64: moo moo farm, mario kart super circuit: cheese land, mario kart double dash: luigi circuit, mario kart ds: gcn baby park, mario kart wii: snes mario circuit 3, mario kart 7: wuhu loop and maka wuhu mario kart 8: water park, MK8 DLC: excitebike arena, mario kart tour: paris promenade and MK8DX booster course pass: sky high sundae
Great picks! I agree with your picks mostly, here's mine, following your same criteria of no circuits and no repeats but getting even more specific: SMK: Vanilla Lake 1 MK64: Wario Stadium MKSC: Shy Guy Beach MKSC (Extra): Vanilla Lake 2 MKDD: Sherbet Land MKDS: Yoshi Falls MKDS (Retro): GCN Baby Park MKW: Moo Moo Meadows MKW (Retro): SNES Ghost Valley 2 MK7: Cheep Cheep Lagoon MK7 (Retro): GBA Bowser Castle 1 MK8: Water Park MK8 (Retro): N64 Toad's Turnpike MK8 (DLC): Excitebike Arena MKT (Original): Tokyo Blur 2 MKT (Retro): GBA Sky Garden MK8DX BCP (Wave 1-2): Sky-High Sundae MK8DX BCP (Wave 3-4): GBA Riverside Park MK8DX BCP (Wave 5-6): GBA Sunset Wilds Some of these would absolutely be replaced without the guidelines but that kind of makes it more fun. Without them, there would be more circuits and more Cheep Cheep Lagoon
SNES - Vanilla Lake 2 N64 - Yoshi Valley GBA - Snow Land GCN - Mushroom Bridge DS - SNES Choco Island 2 Wii - GBA Shy Guy Beach 3DS - Cheep Cheep Lagoon Wii U - Bone Dry Dunes Wii U DLC - Excitebike Arena Tour City - Tokyo Blur Tour Non-City - Piranha Plant Pipeline BCP Nitro - Sky High Sundae BCP Retro - DS Shroom Ridge
I find Koopa Cape extremely hard to play in 8 Deluxe. A lot of the roads are a bit narrow. The game’s physics can makes things like the halfpipes wonky at times (yes I know halfpipes are almost never- if not never- optimal). So on, so forth. Not sure if I would probably consider it the worst track in 8 Deluxe’s DLC, but it’s the worst way to play Koopa Cape imo
Pretty solid list, only thing i heavily disagree with is neo bowser city but hey To add my own 2 cents, i think Skyhigh Sundae is the worst piece of filth ever added to the franchise. Genuinely hate that course with a burning passion❤
I honestly agree with almost everything that you said, except for Neo Bowser City. I think it is an excellent and underrated course along with Sky High Sundae. I think that it is fun that we didn't get a Bowser themed course that isn't lava, and it is difficult, but easy at the same time, making it a fun track. Also, I enjoy the theming in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, and the music will forever be one of the best in the game.
I generally agree with most of ur picks. Just to compare here are mine… SNES Bowser Castle 2: I mean, who doesnt hate this map? N64 Yoshi Valley: I literally had to base my entire plan for beating the special cup on mirror mode around taking an L on this map just for how bad it is. I had to literally manipulate the game by preventing one of the AI players from finishing in second place on rainbow road thanks to this map. GBA Snow Land: I actually don’t hate any of the GBA maps, this one included. However, the shaking screen makes it stand out in a bad way. GCN Sherbet Land: Did an already slippery controlling game need to have ice physics FFS? DS Figure 8 Circuit: Every map in this cup sucks (except for cheep cheep beach), but Yoshi Falls and Boston Building at least have some unique elements that make them stand out. Figure 8 Circuit has nothing. Wii Luigi Circuit: Not a bad map at all, I just think every other map in Wii is better. 3DS Cheep Cheep Lagoon: Oval ahoy… also the theme is boring Wii U Bone Dry Dunes: it’s the least unique Wii U DLC: Ice Ice Outpost: Every map in the Wii U DLC was pretty solid ngl, but I feel like Ice Ice Outpost wasn’t as solid as the other ones. It does have the best music tho Tour Tokyo Blur: I generally enjoy the city maps, but I don’t prefer to play them just because of how same-y they all are. Tokyo Blur to me is just the most boring Retro tracks cuz why not? DS SNES Choco Island 2: The gameplay is awful and unfun. Wii N64 Sherbet Land: Ice physics galore 3DS: I’ll come back to this one when I’ve actually played 7 Wii U DS Wario Stadium: The OG version of this map is one of my favorites on DS. I don’t like this remake because of the random anti gravity and underwater crap, and because of the new music. Not to mention that music is responsible for ruining Waluigi Pinball. This is the song they screwed up the most, and I kinda wish they’d recycled the old music to use in MK8 like they did all the other games with retro tracks. Booster Course Pass Mario Circuit 3: It was in 5 MK games… it overstayed its welcome big time. There are my personal picks for the worst maps in every MK game even tho not a single person asked or cares 🙃
Worst Nitro: SNES Bowser Castle 2. And you wonder why Nintendo took till 2023 to remake an SNES Bowser Castle. Because this course absolutely sucks. Worst Retro: Honestly, what could be worse? Looking and playing like shit (DS's version of SNES Choco Island 2), or being completely soulless and devoid of what made the original fun (DS's version of GCN Baby Park, or the BCP version of GBA Sunset Wilds)?
I would agree with everything but Mario kart 64, sherbet land is so hard to drive and if you get stuck on a pillar you are getting stuck until you are last place.
Hey there! Happy to see that there are still people enjoying MK8 on the Wii U as I do. Do you know that Nintendo is going to close the online servers on th 8th of april? Are we all going to use the pretendo network? Do you know if it will still work? By the way, you'll find me as GiacoNo on the game! :)
I kinda think you missed the point of Yoshi Valley in 64, the whole point of that track is to be a hard labyrinth to navigate through- plus it was part of the Special cup which means it’s supposed to be harder/different than the others I guess
I feel like I’m biased against “basic” tracks since they sort of act as a beginner track without challenge. Of the MK games I played: N64: Wario Stadium (cuz it doesn’t have great unique music like rainbow road does to enjoy its length) DS: Figure-8 Circuit Wii: Luigi Circuit 7: Toads Circuit 8: Bone Dry Ruins (there’s nothing memorable about that track and the colour palette is entirely reddish brown) WiiU DLC: Ice Ice Outpost Deluxe: Toads Circuit again lmfao
Super Mario Kart’s Worst Track: SNES Garbage Island 2 Mario Kart 64’s Worst Track: N64 Rainbow Road Mario Kart Super Circuit’s Worst Track: GBA Snow Land Mario Kart Double Dash’s Worst Track GCN Baby Park Mario Kart DS’ Worst Track: SNES Garbage Island 2 Mario Kart Wii’s Worst Track: SNES Mario Circuit 3 Mario Kart 7’s Worst Track: N64 Luigi Raceway Mario Kart 8’s Worst Track: Excitebike Arena Wave 1’s Worst Track: 3DS Toad Circuit Wave 2’s Worst Track: SNES Mario Circuit 3 Wave 3’s Worst Track: GBA Boo Lake Wave 4’s Worst Track: Riverside Park Wave 5’s Worst Track: GBA Sunset Wilds Wave 6’s Worst Track: Wii Daisy Circuit The Worst Bowser Castle: SNES Bowser Castle 2 The Worst Rainbow Road: N64 Rainbow Road The Worst Mario Circuit: SNES Mario Circuit 3 The Worst Luigi Circuit: N64 Luigi Raceway The Worst Circuit Track: DS Figure 8 Circuit The Worst Grass Track: SNES Donut Plains 3 The Worst City: Tour Tokyo Blur The Worst Water Track: Water Park The Worst Ghost Track: SNES Ghost Valley 2 The Worst Crossover Track: Excitebike Arena The Worst Desert Track: SNES Choco Island 2 The Worst Snow Track: GBA Snow Land
Here is my list of the worst track in every Mario Kart game. For Super Mario Kart, I agree with Bowser Castle 2. It’s frustrating and annoying and it’s dead end is the burial!!! Mario Kart 64 is Wario Stadium. It’s not a terrible track, but it’s still pretty subpar. I am not a fan of the length or the visual appeal. It’s just pretty boring and forgettable. I’ll take Yoshi Valley any day. For Super Circuit, Snow Land’s screen shaking is annoying, but I can tolerate Yoshi Desert. My least favorite from Super Circuit is Broken Pier. It’s not fun to play. For Double Dash, I can’t confidently say my least favorite since I haven’t played Double Dash, but I guess Dry Dry Desert since I wasn’t a fan of it in Mario Kart 8. For Mario Kart DS, I’m going to have to break the rules here because I think Figure-8 Circuit is the worst track in the series. For Wii I’m gonna go with Moo Moo Meadows. It’s not a bad track, I just didn’t find it as interesting as some of the other Wii tracks. DO YOU REALIZE YOU JUST INSULTED MY FAVORITE TRACK FROM MARIO KART 7?!? PUTTING NEO BOWSER CITY AS THE WORST TRACK FOR THAT GAME IS AN ABSOLUTE CRIME! Anyways, now that I have that out 🤣, I think Daisy Hills is not a bad track, but it’s forgettable. Mario Kart 8 base game goes to Bone-Dry Dunes. It’s frustrating and boring. I also don’t really like the idea. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe base game/Wii U dlc will be Excitebike Arena, but I actually really enjoy it. It’s super fun but it’s an oval, so it’s not as good as the others in that group. For the Booster Course Pass, it’s going to be Ninja Hideaway. That track is either loved or hated, but you can tell I am a hater of it. For Mario Kart Tour, it will have to be LA Laps. It’s just not enjoyable to play at all.
SNES Choco Island 2 is the worst Mario Kart DS track in my opinion. (I wasn't joking) Slippery like ice, has lots of bumps, and very hard to snake on this track.
Sherbet Land, DK Jungle Parkway, and Sunset Wilds are some of my favorite picks for their respective games. I'd probably choose elsewise: SNES: Vanilla Lake 1 N64: Luigi Raceway GBA: Bowser's Castle 2 GCN: Baby Park DS: Figure-8 Circuit (Baby Park including retros) Wii: Luigi Circuit 3DS: Toad Circuit (DK Pass including retros) WiiU: Excitebike Arena Switch/Tour: New York Minute
How is neo bowser city worst then cheep cheep lagoon a track that literally exist to show the underwater mechanic and nothing else going for it! Neo bowser is so unique, good music, good graphics even on 3ds, and your bad at the course... skill issue!
The only good version of Baby Park is in Double Dash due to the crazy character-specific items and lack of inner barriers. Also the disrespect given to Neo Bowser City recently by big MK-tubers is crazy.
Mario kart 8 water park feels way too basic yet alone but it makes useless under gimmicks for 7 which we Already now about but the anti gravity section go underwater section was just pointless and have a short glider section at the end with unnecessary and pointless use to show off a gimmicks that we see from 7 basically defeats the purpose of the anti gravity gimmicks which was to whole point of MK8 itself is like they gave up on the good track design in 8
I enjoyed watching this video. Here are the worst tracks in each game (while also going by the rules set in this video) in my opinion: Super Mario Kart (and the whole series)= Bowser Castle 2 (yeah, I completely agree with you here) Mario Kart 64= Wario Stadium (In contrast to Super Mario Kart, I now already completely disagree with you as Yoshi Valley is one of my favorite tracks in the game. Wario Stadium is just way too long, boring and annoying for my liking) Mario Kart: Super Circuit= Snow Land (I can't stand this track for the same reason as everyone else) Mario Kart: Double Dash!!= Sherbet Land (It's just way too slippery and unfun to play in general, I agree with you here) Mario Kart DS= SNES Choco Island 2 (This course manages to be even uglier than the original as well as much more annoying and frustrating to play on) Mario Kart Wii= GBA Shy Guy Beach (The cannonballs, crabs and the course as a whole is much more annoying to play on than the original, and the visuals actually look way worse than on the GBA) Mario Kart 7= Cheep Cheep Lagoon (There are no straight up awful tracks in MK7 in my opinion, but Cheep Cheep Lagoon is as generic of a water course you can get besides like SNES Koopa Beach 2) Mario Kart 8 base game= N64 Toad's Turnpike (All the difficulty from the original is absent in this remake as the road is much wider and you can even avoid parts of the track completely. The skybox is downgraded as well) Mario Kart 8 DLC= Ice Ice Outpost (There are no straight up awful tracks in the Wii U DLC, but Ice Ice Outpost is relatively underwhelming. It basically does the bare minimum for a Mario Kart 8 track) Mario Kart Tour= I haven't played Tour much but Tokyo Blur seems very underwhelming as it is in 8 Deluxe. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe BCP= GBA "Sunset" Wilds (The main selling point of the original is gone from this remake for no good reason which is really frustrating and on top of that the Shy Guys don't even latch onto your kart anymore and the course is kind of ugly)
For ds i would say snes choco island 2 lets just say this track wasn't made for a 3d game without tricks because it looks ugly plays awful and the music is a downgrade
For me my rankings are SNES: Chocco Island 2 N64: Toad’s Turnpike GBA: Yoshi Desert GCN: Dry Dry Desert/ Mushroom Bridge DS: Figure-8 Circuit/Chocco Island 2 Wii: Luigi Circuit/ Peach Beach 3DS: Cheep Cheep Lagoon Wii U: Bone Dry Dunes/ Dry Dry Desert Wii U DLC: Dragon Driftway/ Hyrule Circuit Tour: Tokyo Blur BCP: DK Summit/ Sky High Sundae
I have been avoiding this video for a while because I didn't want to upset people - I just wanted everyone to know that this video is lighthearted and not mean't to actually attack someone's favorite track. I hope y'all enjoy and thanks for watching!
Why not include one nitro and one retro for ds, wii, 7 and 8
no need to apologise for having an opinion
Just go for it, at the end of the day it is just text on a screen 👍
How DARE you have a different opinion than me
I feel like Yoshi Valley has a really good concept, but the execution is lacking. The idea of multiple completely different paths one track is really cool but once you find out which one is the fastest, there’s no reason to take any other ones and the track just gives up on its whole concept like halfway through
dare i say: ice ice outpost did it better
it's mid, but it was done better
That's why the N64 version is better, the fastest track is still painfully obvious but at least you couldn't see the scoreboard so you didn't exactly know. It also pushed you to drive your absolute best because you didn't know your placement.

A track that does the multiple route concept far better is ninja hideaway imo
Water park is so annoying because it had so much potential. You could’ve started in a hotel, and then raced to the park while going around pools and then ending it off by going down a giant waterslide but no. We got the most basic bitch track ever💀
Water part is so underrated. It's not amazing but it's not bad. I'd rather water park than bone dry dunes
It also has one of in not THE track with the lamest name. Like couldn’t they think of a better name like “Noki Park” or maybe take the ferris wheel theme and make it Wario themed and call it “Wario Park” or something.
bro forgot 3ds TOAD CIRCUIT- oh fuck i forgot that he doesn't include circuits
Whenever I went to my friend's house back in the day and played Mario kart 8, I hated this track because the sense of chaos was gone. Note he had the wiiu version, so the player icon for first place always had a crown on it. Deluxe on the switch removed this feature, and now I love it again.

& I also hate the original snow land
I truly miss the clouds with the smiley faces, like in Double Dash and MK DS
and Wii (sometimes)
Double dash had the most comic detail in the series
Those were creepy😱
8:45 They also excluded the interaction with the Shy Guys out there on the course completely. This was a once-in-the-series mechanic they just got completely rid of.

I respect your decisions tho baby park is goated the chaos with items is insane
I feel like Baby Park is either a hit or miss for fans. Some love its chaos, others depise it, but never in between
I can agree that the Double Dash and MK8 versions of Baby Park are a lot of fun, but the DS remake is horrible
As a Mario Kart super circuit enjoyer myself, i can confirm that yoshi desert is a complete skill issue
On the other hand... Bowser Castle 1 is mid af and the fact that it was the ONLY sc representation on MK7 is just idiotic
It was close between the 2 - thanks for watching!
As much as I hate Baby Park and really despise it, it isn't my absolute worst track of all time though it is in my Top 5 for sure. It's just so chaotic and not even fun at all and I absolutely HATE the bagging on this track. Really not even a bit enjoyable...
Subscribed and hit the bell! The editing of this video was amazing! Keep up the great work!
Thanks!
**Picks Sherbert Land for Double Dash**
Me, a DK Mountain enjoyer:
**Lowers shotgun.**
But jokes aside you make good points on these tracks. If I had Mario Kart 64 and I fell off Yoshi Valley I would throw the game into the garbage lmao
My personally it’s a close race between tour New York Minute and 3ds Toad Circuit for worst track in 8 deluxe
Bone Dry Dunes is the worst track out of all 96 tracks in MK8 DX
I'm sorry, but you lost me at Sherbet Land being the worst Double Dash track lol. I love that track, whether its the original version, or the 8 version. Personally, its not a hard track for me. You just gotta be careful about your steering.
However, I do agree with you that those freezies are not innocent at all lol.
1:53 DK jumpscare
excitebike arena is lucky that sky high sundae is in the same game as it because for the former, I hated the track ever since its existence and even more so now due to it being overpicked online. the worst mk8 track is easily the dry dry desert remake, water park isnt that bad,
and ice ice outpost is a pretty good track, and its still the worst of that dlc. which just shows how AMAZING that dlc is
I never understood the Hatrid for MK8's dry dry desert remake. Pretty good track for me
And same with ice ice outpost
Here are my changes.
1. Choco Island 2 for SNES. At the very least, Bowser's Castle 2 has a good song and the troll path can be crossed by a feather.
2. Rainbow Road for N64. I know the song and visuals are great, but why is the track 6 MINUTES LONG? Also, Wario's face is great track design.
3. Snow Land for GBA. Seriously, why does the screen shake. For some people it's fine, but for me, it gives me an absolute headache. It's like the
Virtual Boy put into a Mario Kart track.
By the way, am i the only one who likes both vanilla lakes, both sherbet lands and snow land?
I think the ice tracks (besides GCN sherbet land) get too much hate
Any answer besides Luigi Circuit for MKWii is wrong
That would be it - if I included Circuits in the video
Neo Bowser City was my favorite course from 7 HOW DARE YOU INSULT THIS FANTASTIC TRACK Cause I don't mind racing on the original and the remake
The _only_ thing that bugs me about Neo Bowser City is the fact that the glider ramp is literally only there for the shortcut with the fan. If you don't go for that shortcut, then getting hit on the glider makes no difference to your position. Gliders that exist for the _sole_ purpose of a shortcut or alternate route should be *optional,* not *forced.* A track that does this well? *CHEEP CHEEP LAGOON*
@pvzmariosonica8fan Me personally I just skip the short cut and pretend It never existed
SNES: Vanilla Lake 1
N64: Toad's Turnpike
GBA: Snow Land
GCN: Dry Dry Desert
DS Nitro (and the entire game): Figure 8 Circuit
DS Retro: SNES Koopa Beach 2
Wii Nitro (and the entire series): Wario's Gold Mine
Wii Retro: SNES Mario Circuit 3
3DS Nitro: Toad Circuit
3DS Retro: GBA Bowser Castle 1
Wii U Nitro: Water Park
Wii U Retro: SNES Donut Plains 3
Wii U DLC: Ice Ice Outpost
Tour: Tokyo Blur
Booster Course Pass: GBA Sunset Wilds
don't put 8's version of Baby Park in the thumbnail only to then have a different track take that spot in the video itself.
it's clickbaity and it makes me think you're scared that people will get angry for not liking 8's version of Baby Park.
i hate it when RUclipsrs do this stuff, i literally knew you were gonna do it too since i skipped forward just to see if 8 Baby Park was actually the one you picked in the video.
Knew this was coming - Couldn't get the DS one the way I wanted, I'm sorry for upsetting you
You are misrepresenting Tokyo Blur. ❤
Thanks for letting me know - I guess I had misremembered it from Tour, It's been a while 😅
How is Yoshi Desert worse than both Cheep Cheep Island and Broken Pier? Have these people actually played the game?
I actually like those tracks tbh - super nostalgic!
Snow land and yoshi desert also are great picks for me!
Tbh I expected Dry Dry Desert to appear at least once
Guess I finally found someone who doesn't hate that track lmao
Great video dude
Thanks!
As a Double Dash fan, I never hated that track.
Great picks! I agree with your picks mostly, here's mine, following your same criteria of no circuits and no repeats but getting even more specific:
SMK: Vanilla Lake 1
MK64: Wario Stadium
MKSC: Shy Guy Beach
MKSC (Extra): Vanilla Lake 2
MKDD: Sherbet Land
MKDS: Yoshi Falls
MKDS (Retro): GCN Baby Park
MKW: Moo Moo Meadows
MKW (Retro): SNES Ghost Valley 2
MK7: Cheep Cheep Lagoon
MK7 (Retro): GBA Bowser Castle 1
MK8: Water Park
MK8 (Retro): N64 Toad's Turnpike
MK8 (DLC): Excitebike Arena
MKT (Original): Tokyo Blur 2
MKT (Retro): GBA Sky Garden
MK8DX BCP (Wave 1-2): Sky-High Sundae
MK8DX BCP (Wave 3-4): GBA Riverside Park
MK8DX BCP (Wave 5-6): GBA Sunset Wilds
Some of these would absolutely be replaced without the guidelines but that kind of makes it more fun. Without them, there would be more circuits and more Cheep Cheep Lagoon
3:17 overused desert setting? Isn't this like the second desert course ever made in Mario Kart? Quit exaggerating.
I like GCN Sherbet Land! At least you didn't pick Bone Dry Dunes. For me, London Loop is a longer, more boring version of Tokyo Blur, and I'm British
SNES - Vanilla Lake 2
N64 - Yoshi Valley
GBA - Snow Land
GCN - Mushroom Bridge
DS - SNES Choco Island 2
Wii - GBA Shy Guy Beach
3DS - Cheep Cheep Lagoon
Wii U - Bone Dry Dunes
Wii U DLC - Excitebike Arena
Tour City - Tokyo Blur
Tour Non-City - Piranha Plant Pipeline
BCP Nitro - Sky High Sundae
BCP Retro - DS Shroom Ridge
Neo Bowser City is fine in MK7 because that game has very high traction. I absolutely despise it in MK8D though
Unpopular opinion: Bowser Castle 2 is one of the best N64 tracks.
SNES*
I find Koopa Cape extremely hard to play in 8 Deluxe. A lot of the roads are a bit narrow. The game’s physics can makes things like the halfpipes wonky at times (yes I know halfpipes are almost never- if not never- optimal). So on, so forth. Not sure if I would probably consider it the worst track in 8 Deluxe’s DLC, but it’s the worst way to play Koopa Cape imo
Pretty solid list, only thing i heavily disagree with is neo bowser city but hey
To add my own 2 cents, i think Skyhigh Sundae is the worst piece of filth ever added to the franchise.
Does it mean those "bad" tracks are challenging ? Well, not for speedrunners atleast.
Baby park got funner in Mk8. In MK DS, it looks like an abandoned amusement park
I generally agree with most of ur picks. Just to compare here are mine…
SNES Bowser Castle 2: I mean, who doesnt hate this map?
3DS Cheep Cheep Lagoon: Oval ahoy… also the theme is boring
Wii U Bone Dry Dunes: it’s the least unique
Wii U DLC: Ice Ice Outpost: Every map in the Wii U DLC was pretty solid ngl, but I feel like Ice Ice Outpost wasn’t as solid as the other ones. It does have the best music tho
Tour Tokyo Blur: I generally enjoy the city maps, but I don’t prefer to play them just because of how same-y they all are. Tokyo Blur to me is just the most boring
Retro tracks cuz why not?
DS SNES Choco Island 2: The gameplay is awful and unfun.
Wii N64 Sherbet Land: Ice physics galore
3DS: I’ll come back to this one when I’ve actually played 7
Wii U DS Wario Stadium: The OG version of this map is one of my favorites on DS.
Hi - I would probably not be the person to ask about that since I primarily play the switch version but thanks for watching!
Yoshi valley got a lot better in Mario Kart 8 deluxe
I kinda think you missed the point of Yoshi Valley in 64, the whole point of that track is to be a hard labyrinth to navigate through- plus it was part of the Special cup which means it’s supposed to be harder/different than the others I guess
I feel like I’m biased against “basic” tracks since they sort of act as a beginner track without challenge. Of the MK games I played:
N64: Wario Stadium (cuz it doesn’t have great unique music like rainbow road does to enjoy its length)
DS: Figure-8 Circuit
Wii: Luigi Circuit
7: Toads Circuit
8: Bone Dry Ruins (there’s nothing memorable about that track and the colour palette is entirely reddish brown)
WiiU DLC: Ice Ice Outpost
Deluxe: Toads Circuit again lmfao
At least water park has the carrusel music of mario 64 in the shorcut
Super Mario Kart’s Worst Track: SNES Garbage Island 2
Mario Kart 64’s Worst Track: N64 Rainbow Road
Mario Kart Super Circuit’s Worst Track: GBA Snow Land
Mario Kart Double Dash’s Worst Track GCN Baby Park
Mario Kart DS’ Worst Track: SNES Garbage Island 2
Mario Kart Wii’s Worst Track: SNES Mario Circuit 3
Mario Kart 7’s Worst Track: N64 Luigi Raceway
Mario Kart 8’s Worst Track: Excitebike Arena
Wave 1’s Worst Track: 3DS Toad Circuit
Wave 2’s Worst Track: SNES Mario Circuit 3
Wave 3’s Worst Track: GBA Boo Lake
Wave 4’s Worst Track: Riverside Park
Wave 5’s Worst Track: GBA Sunset Wilds
Wave 6’s Worst Track: Wii Daisy Circuit
The Worst Bowser Castle: SNES Bowser Castle 2
The Worst Rainbow Road: N64 Rainbow Road
The Worst Mario Circuit: SNES Mario Circuit 3
The Worst Luigi Circuit: N64 Luigi Raceway
The Worst Circuit Track: DS Figure 8 Circuit
The Worst Grass Track: SNES Donut Plains 3
The Worst City: Tour Tokyo Blur
The Worst Water Track: Water Park
The Worst Ghost Track: SNES Ghost Valley 2
The Worst Crossover Track: Excitebike Arena
The Worst Desert Track: SNES Choco Island 2
The Worst Snow Track: GBA Snow Land
I'd probably choose elsewise:
SNES: Vanilla Lake 1
N64: Luigi Raceway
GBA: Bowser's Castle 2
GCN: Baby Park
DS: Figure-8 Circuit (Baby Park including retros)
Wii: Luigi Circuit
3DS: Toad Circuit (DK Pass including retros)
WiiU: Excitebike Arena
Switch/Tour: New York Minute
How is neo bowser city worst then cheep cheep lagoon a track that literally exist to show the underwater mechanic and nothing else going for it! Neo bowser is so unique, good music, good graphics even on 3ds, and your bad at the course... skill issue!
The only good version of Baby Park is in Double Dash due to the crazy character-specific items and lack of inner barriers.
Also the disrespect given to Neo Bowser City recently by big MK-tubers is crazy.
The worst and most chaotic course in Mario kart history
Pikehunter :"Mario kart Wii doesn't really have any bad tracks"
us: Dude, Luigi circuit is bad.
Sorry - when I said that, I was referring to after I took circuits out of the equation 😅
@@Pikehunter oh yeah 😂 that part went straight over my head
@@Ibalistic_hedge And i prefer wii luigi circuit over gcn luigi circuit.
@@steveroalex Hot take
@@Ibalistic_hedge Oh yeah!
Neo Bowser is fine until you play 200cc.
My Least Favorite Track On Mario kart is DS Yoshi Falls and GCN Dry Dry Desert
My worst tracks:
SNES Bowser Castle 2
N64 Wario Stadium
GBA Broken Pier
GCN Sherbet Land
DS Nitro Figure 8 Circuit
DS Retro Choco Island 2
Wii Nitro Wario's Gold Mine
Wii Retro Shy Guy Beach
3DS Nitro Cheep Cheep Lagoon
3DS Retro Luigi Raceway
8DX Nitro Water Park
8DX Retro Toads Turnpike
Tour Tokyo Blur
Booster Toad Circuit
You kind of have to give Wii a retro track...
1:53~1:54 Donkey Kong Climb Up ⛰In N64 Yoshi Valley? Is That A Bug?
Yoshi dessert worse than snow land... right
I kinda like tokyo blur on 200cc, it feels like I'm flying and the shroomless shortcut is fun. Still the worst tour track tho
bowser castle 2 is awful but donut plains 3 💀
also disliking neo bowser city is just skill issue tbh
I say you need to get good bro
Thanks
how did bro get 2nd on baby park DS 💀
Baby Park is boring every time I played. I was like yall have bad tastes
Here are the worst tracks in each game (while also going by the rules set in this video) in my opinion:
Super Mario Kart (and the whole series)= Bowser Castle 2 (yeah, I completely agree with you here)
Mario Kart 64= Wario Stadium (In contrast to Super Mario Kart, I now already completely disagree with you as Yoshi Valley is one of my favorite tracks in the game. Wario Stadium is just way too long, boring and annoying for my liking)
Mario Kart: Super Circuit= Snow Land (I can't stand this track for the same reason as everyone else)
Mario Kart: Double Dash!!= Sherbet Land (It's just way too slippery and unfun to play in general, I agree with you here)
Mario Kart DS= SNES Choco Island 2 (This course manages to be even uglier than the original as well as much more annoying and frustrating to play on)
Mario Kart Wii= GBA Shy Guy Beach (The cannonballs, crabs and the course as a whole is much more annoying to play on than the original, and the visuals actually look way worse than on the GBA)
Mario Kart 7= Cheep Cheep Lagoon (There are no straight up awful tracks in MK7 in my opinion, but Cheep Cheep Lagoon is as generic of a water course you can get besides like SNES Koopa Beach 2)
Mario Kart 8 base game= N64 Toad's Turnpike (All the difficulty from the original is absent in this remake as the road is much wider and you can even avoid parts of the track completely. The skybox is downgraded as well)
Mario Kart 8 DLC= Ice Ice Outpost (There are no straight up awful tracks in the Wii U DLC, but Ice Ice Outpost is relatively underwhelming. It basically does the bare minimum for a Mario Kart 8 track)
Mario Kart Tour= I haven't played Tour much but Tokyo Blur seems very underwhelming as it is in 8 Deluxe.
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe BCP= GBA "Sunset" Wilds (The main selling point of the original is gone from this remake for no good reason which is really frustrating and on top of that the Shy Guys don't even latch onto your kart anymore and the course is kind of ugly)
I enjoyed MK7 Neo Bowsers City mainly because it was my best track. Wasnt the best track by any means but i just always won it.
Worst track in mk7 in my humble opinion? easy.
Kalimari desert without a shadow of a doubt.
“Sorry arcade fans” yah all 4 of you
It sucks for competitive players
Mk7 has the best track list by far. I love every track (besides kalimari desert)
THANK YOU. I hate Water Park
For ds i would say snes choco island 2 lets just say this track wasn't made for a 3d game without tricks because it looks ugly plays awful and the music is a downgrade
my least favorite n64 track is n64 moo farm
Why Ice Ice Outpost?😢😢😢😢😢
Sorry, the Wii U DLC is STACKED
My least favorite track is Mario kart stadium
Yoshi Falls easily
#1: wii's recreation of shy guy beach. absolutely abyssmal. worst recreation.
i think most of the picks are understandable, however i definitely think there are plenty of wii tracks worse than DK's jungle parkway
Wdym yoshi valley is the best track in mario kart 64
my least snes track the rainbow road
As if to say math wasn’t fun (I love math)
"Skill issue"
For me my rankings are
SNES: Chocco Island 2
N64: Toad’s Turnpike
GBA: Yoshi Desert
GCN: Dry Dry Desert/ Mushroom Bridge
DS: Figure-8 Circuit/Chocco Island 2
Wii: Luigi Circuit/ Peach Beach
3DS: Cheep Cheep Lagoon
Wii U: Bone Dry Dunes/ Dry Dry Desert
Wii U DLC: Dragon Driftway/ Hyrule Circuit
Tour: Tokyo Blur
BCP: DK Summit/ Sky High Sundae
I hate yoshi's valley it sucks >:(
