This is absolutely the model of ST19 chronograph I want to get, and I really appreciate you giving a review on it so I can get a more in depth look at the watch. And, yes, optioning the black leather strap really seems the way to go.
I got the same one! The listing I used doesn't offer any other strap options and the elastic one they included is so strange and does not fit the aesthetic at all. I won't support the watermelon version at all, I don't think it's fair to homage a microbrand design that hasn't even been out that long.
I wish they would do a dark version like that tissot heritage, that would look amazing. I have the 1697 and 1703 and both are great value, that light catcher case really wears well.
Really like this. I’ve been looking for a pulse meter watch for a long time now, Longines, Eterna, Omega, all too expensive so this fits the bill exactly. Hope they bring out other dial colours soon
Excellent review of an ace watch. I bought it approx. a month ago and it became an immediate favourite. Great size, case , and dial making it a delight to wear. I liked the strap and realised when I received the watch that they are not red markers on the dial but orange so to colour combination sort of works. That said I have found a better use for the strap and wear it on woven strap that matches the colour of the dial.
This is the best Seagull variant I've seen yet. I never thought anything would beat the classic 1963 as my preferred affordable chronograph but I might have to trade it in for this on the rally strap!
Great looking watch and excellent value. I guess Proxima decided (rightly) that it was better to cut costs on the strap than the watch itself. So tempted to buy one! Thanks for the very thorough review.
I'm honstly shocked nobody has made one yet. Lobinni has something similar, but not close enough. I'm thinking that Hangzhou micro-rotor movement and made by sugess would be perfect.
I was really excited to see this watch because i thought it was an homage of the Tissot telemeter. Then I saw it was pulsations and was a little bummed. Still a great looking watch though 😂😂 Thanks for reviewing it!
Steve, this PX1717 has 20mm lugs, based on your plentiful straps! Your specs info noted 19mm (from the recent Seestern GS). It looks great on the brown strap.
My friend has the original which is a Breitling watch with the sane dial but the original Venus 175 movement. It is kind of a “reissue” of that watch. The case of the Breitling is 14K gold though. A very thin gold case but still gold. That was about $3,000 off Ebay few years back so this Proxima is a better deal. 😀👍
I absolutely love that watch, and the movement is a visual masterpiece.....but having had two ST19's and two PT5000 die on me over a 5 year period I avoid Chinese movements. As an alternative I bought a ZEPPELIN Quartz homage of the Omega.
I truly care less if they sign the crown. I guess I’m in a minority but it means nothing, could increase cost and risks adding sharp edges. Also every other design ‘flaw’ you found I disagreed with. The black band and mesh looked hideous. I still am thankful for your channel and appreciate your reviews. My only issue with the provided nato is I personally don’t like adding thickness other than that I actually think it works great with the watch. One last thing that no one will agree with is I wish the entire watch was brushed haha
I find this complication much more useful than any tachy-chrono, plus the vintage looks are fine, although too creamy dial... Thanks for the review Steve, be well mate. PS Wasn't a Tissot like this one, reissued some years ago? PS2 You missed the reason this strap was on. A watch like this would be easily used by a hipster doctor, thus.... 😋😂
FYI, I just noticed you can request a black Leather Rally strap. it's the very last picture in the listing...lol
Are you still able to get that? As I asked the seller on another website and they say no more
@@DC-wz9gp the dial is not available, it will be ready at the end of next month, you can approach us then, thanks.

I’ve had my eye on this one
It's really well executed. Thanks for watching, james

Such a cool watch! I won another chronograph of same movement. This became by future birthday gift!!
Very cool. Looks like something someone in the opening scene of Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom would be wearing. Thanks for the great review.
haha, I could see that! thanks for watching!

love the fact they went with applied numbers on the dial. makes it look that much better
100% agree. they look awesome.
A good looking watch and well finished. desperately waiting for the F.P.Journe Chronometre Bleu homage...................

Nice looking watch, goes well with the brown leather strap, but I heard that movement has a high failure rate, does it?

🤦🤦🤦. Too late to fix now. Wish RUclips would allow simple edits like this after the video has been posted

Incredible watch. Great review! More people need to see your channel.
Haha, thank you 🤜🤛
I dont like the watch but as usual like to see your reviews. EDIT: a Seestern on your wrist is great.
I appreciate the support man. thanks for stopping in!
I have 8 inch wrists and I still wish it was smaller. It would suit the style better I think. More vintage looking.
I like that slim bezel and large crystal.

Lovely watch but the wrong placement of the pulsometer makes it kinda useless.
I miss the circular texture on the subdials.

Thanks Stavros!
I think they had a similar release yeah.
Yes, this is largely based on the Tissot Telemeter 1938, mixed with a touch of the Longines Pulsometer Heritage.
Yes, but the Tissot was actually bigger, 42mm methinks.
Anyone tried the Watermelon variant?
Beautiful!
No soup for you! All gone 😢
Well, damn. Hope they get stocked back up soon
Aaaand they're gone. 😭
Meanwhile, Tissot wants 10 times the money for their Telemetre. Embarrassing really.
