Creator Paul Simms could not decide so the network exec told him to talk a walk and when he came back he talked to Foley and they both agreed Maura was the best choice. And the very next hour was the table read with the whole cast.

Foley was to neurotic. I know Gibson can't be mentioned but I see a mix of neurotic with masculinity like Mel in what women want.
