Hey Andrea! Thank you very much for watching and for taking the time out to leave such a nice comment. Have an amazing day my friend. ✌️

Thank you Jamie- this saved me potentially infinite frustration. Strange that, while Bram Bos apps are usually intuitive and very simple, getting Ruismaker multi out to function was beyond me…

Thank you for watching Wal! I’m glad the video was helpful. The thing about multi out is that they all work slightly differently. There’s no common way for it to be implemented. Have an awesome new year my friend! ✌️

Thanks for the awesome video Jamie. Recently I was trying to decide between Cubasis and Auria but then I stumbled unto Zenbeats which is actually free at the moment. Somehow it doesn't support IAA but has been working pretty well with AUv3s. It's more of a full fledged DAW than GarageBand with a mixer and sends and such. So far I'm pleased with it. Cheers.

Yes, I had ignored Zenbeats until recently. One of my friends needed a free DAW and I helped him learn it by figuring out the basics while we were on the phone. I mean to dive into it deeper but have a few projects to finish first. I made this video because I was reminded of the Ruismaker multi-out by one of your comments the other day. :)

@@JamieMallender I'll definitely be looking forward to those when you get around to them. You've got great way of explaining things for noobs like myself!

Haha! I approach it like I’d like it to be explained to me that’s all. 🙂

The Hobby Creative I Kerry Thompson . I’m loving Zenbeats too, it’s stable and the stock plugins are pretty good. But the thing I love it is the looks, Zenbeats looks like hardware in some retro 80s way.

As soon as I finished spamming my new video all over social media, I started a project in Zenbeats. I’m getting to it now and I’m gonna see what I can get out of it and what sort of video I could make about it. I always like to do something that would help and inspire. Making people more free to create by helping them past the hurdles of understanding the software is where I’m at.

How do I map DigiKeys properly to Ruismaker? I only get the kick drum sound out of Ruismaker . Midi out enabled in digikeys and General midi activated in Ruismaker. Thanks in advancece for advice!

If I remember rightly, in digikeys you have to select chromatic scale to be able to find the right keys for the different drums. I can’t remember if you have to octave down as well and also there’s a button for general midi in Ruismaker. Try these pointers and if you still have an issue let me know and I’ll nail it down for you a little later today.

@@JamieMallender Thanks for your quick reply. I realized that you have to use an instrument with chromatic scale and I scrolled the octaves up and down to find the right keys, but still no success. Would very much appreciate your nailing ;-).

In Ruismaker select GM keymap. In digikeys, select key - c chromatic + then transpose down 1 octave. You now have a kick on C, snare on D, clap on D#, hat on F#, Tom on A, open hat on A#, Tom 2 on octave C, Tom 3 on octave D,

@@JamieMallender Thanks, you saved my day!. By the way I found another setup which also worked fine. In digikeys key c, chromatic scale, octave normal, midi out , in Ruismaker no gm keymap. Then you will play the black keys starting with c#.
