- Gordon Gerald “Goomer” Goomer on the surface appears to be an average middle class American, though he actually hides some rather troubling behavior. He is one of the most weirdest and peculiar characters in the TV show "F is for Family". He is also a neighbor to the right of The Murphy's. this are some of the scenes picked from Seasons(1-4)

@@Leonf123if you pay close enough attention they almost make it seem to be that he is a serial killer but if you watch more carefully you will find that it may actually be his wife. He says during the episode when Chet is poisoned “I knew Chet was being poisoned but I didn’t say anything. Im a watcher, not a doer.” I think her killer psychology stems from her desire for a child, and it could be driven through jealousy. I think boomer watches and hides the bodies because he loves his wife and his creepy behaviour stems from him attempting to just have a what he sees as a normal life by mimicking the behaviour of his neighbor.

Realization - Goomer resembles a halfway point between Peter Griffin and Homer Simpson (the accent and way he talks is also similar to a hybrid of Peter and Homer's), and his name is a mixture of G from Griffin, and the "omer" from Homer

It’s messed up how no one picked up on Goomer being a pervert and a weirdo. I think only Kevin, Bidget and Smokey.
Group mentality be like that. When you don't notice anyone else has a problem with someone, you internally rationalize it. Humans are social creatures, and the truth is that all of our cultural norms and what is acceptable are social constructs. It's the same principal for how cults can form and operate, when you take a bunch of "alternative thinkers" and pull them off the grid, out of the eye of normal society, they become capable of basically anything.
Kevin is a rebellious teen, and Smokey is, well... it's the 70's. Neither of them fit into that social circle, so they have no trouble immediately picking up on things most people would be blind to.
I'm overexplaining the joke 100%, but there was genuine thought put into who could and couldn't notice the warning signs, as opposed to making it just random people that pick up on it. It's a bit deeper then you'd think, at first glance.

I love how this show uses recurring jokes. By the fifth season the kids start saying "Does Mister Goomer shit in the woods?"
Goomer actually makes sense as a character because weirdos thrived in the 60s-70s for some reason, we still got weirdos but those were the golden age of weird shit apparently

It was the first time it became more socially accepted to be a drifter or traveler. You had the developed highway system and better fuel economy.
Prior to the 60s, it was pretty common for people with no connections in a town to be run off by the locals. It comes up a lot in literature and people who grew up in that era. The "stranger being harassed by local cops and business owners" trope is based on early 20th century America
I don't remember alot of weirdos in the 60s or 70s. Unless you want to count cocaine trump and studio 54.

The thing that gets me the most is the fact that Frank considers himself to be a loser but Goomer aspires to be Frank in every way. I guess it's true what they say that the grass is always greener on the other side.

What sucks is that's like a common trait among people. They think a baby is like a getting a dog or cat or something, and that's why so many kids get fvcked up by their parents and that's why we have so many weirdos in the world like goomer, eg Chris Chan. Remember - your kid is 100 percent more likely to murder someone than they are to find the cure to cancer (I've had multiple people tell me I need to have a kid because what if they cure cancer or do something monumental). Never expect your child is going to be a successful person, and setting expectations in the wrong way can actually do the opposite.
Probably because she failed with her first kid resulting in it's death and needs another out of instinct and to cope, thou considering that Goomer is neither sad or traumatized by mere mention of (probably) his own child death kind of suggests that... He probably had something to do with in on purpose
I remember first watching this show when I was a bit younger. I was adamant about hating Goomer and Cute-Pie (Karen). Teenage me couldn’t stand either of them 😂

4 nights ago i tried lsd for my 2nd time. Its been 7 years. I completely forgot how much a single tab was (my partner stored some from 2 years ago in the fridge). I saw 4 little squares in this sheet. I thought to myself. Well 1 little square being a quarter makes sense. So 4 would add up to a whole tab. Started with 2 "half a tab". And after 20 i took another 2. For some bloody reason at some point during the night. I became very fixated on the name goomer. I knew it from somewhere. And that shit was straight hilarious to me even though i wasn't able to speak nor laugh. Now i remember who goomer is. Now i understand why i found it so funny. Goomer forever will be a part of me because of that trip. That man got me through whatever abomination i experienced that night
