  • TSN's Montreal Bureau Reporter Kenzie Lalonde joins SC with Jay Onrait to discuss how significant it was for the Canadiens to get Juraj Slafkovský locked up long-term, who the potential front-runners are for the opening spot on defence, and the likelihood of GM Kent Hughes adding to Montreal's roster before the start of the season.

actually, Slaf, caufield & susuki all have contract with more money at the start and less at the end. So that mean, in 4-5 year, the will have all of them for approximately 15-16 millions per years. Another Kent masterpiece

I think it's a good idea to have both Anderson and Wifi in the lineup. A couple of big boys who can keep an eye on our rising stars so they don't get pushed around. Anderson hopefully can get 15-20 goals this year and his trade value could be high come the trade deadline for a team looking to add a big power forward with speed for a playoff run.

Demidov, will be in the lineup this year. New rules in Russia will allow him to leave his contractual agreement and I’m fully confident the Habs will take advantage of the opportunity and bring him into the top 6 formation.

Barron and Harris need to go, I don't know why we keep talking about this blue line log jam. Matheson isn't here for the long haul, neither is Savard, barron and harris just aren't good enough and they don't show a lot of promise. Ghule, Xhekaj, Struble should be locked and there's three good guys coming in the next season or two. Just move harris and barron, the hardest part is gonna be finding teams who value them.
