Just casually watching this video when you mention fine fabrics and I had to double take because I live on the same street as fine fabrics and it’s my favorite fabric store!
Hehe thank you so much!! And usually at thrift stores, I will look through bedding, curtains, tablecloths and usually find so many good textiles! Some thrift stores have dedicated fabric spots as well, and those are the real goats ✨✨
@@stephtime Actually I made my own pattern after going through a few of them for ideas. It's going to be a waterproof ultralight roll-top hiking bag. So, other than materials being a little difficult to work with, it'll be fairly simple.
@@stephtime Ooh, it's actually mostly a laminate called xpac vx-42. With side pockets and straps made from a 210 denier HDPE gridstop. Maybe I'll upload a video once it's finished. I made the straps today, actually.
